I had a scheduled appt with Daniel and he never showed up! Then at least 1 hour after our scheduled appt his assistant comes out to tell me he not in the building and asks if I would like to reschedule. So I gave a time and date option that works well for me and she emails me back on his behalf to tell me it can only be phone consultation. I find that completely unprofessional, especially because I came all the way to his office just for him to be a no show and then I don't even get an actual appointment in replace. Good customer service would place a high importance on good client satisfaction and would of attempted to do something called "damage recovery" in order maintain prospective relations. This guy and his firm obviously could care less as indicative from their behavior with dealing with me as a potential client. read more

Before I found Daniel, I had gone to a large firm, and had a terrible experience (once they had my retainer, I could no longer reach my "lawyer" and was rerouted via 1-800 # to a call center out of state!!) I was looking for attorney that will do a due diligence on a real estate purchase. I interviewed few people but I liked Daniel for his straight talk and promise that he is detailed and does all the work by himself. Daniel proved to be very superficial, he did not have answer to many issues commonly done in NY. His follow up is quick but follow through is terrible. He will call immediately but the quality of work is low and he uses another person in his office who is rude and terrible. I ended up firing this guy after only a week and turned put to be phenomenal decision. The new attorney I found was everything Daniel was not, helpful, responsive and on target. read more

After firing our Real Estate attorney via text message because he wasn't answering our calls, we stumbled upon Daniel's blog. We called and hired him the next day. I'm a strong believer that anyone doing business in 2011 should be connected - Website, Blog, FB, the nine. Does it make you good in your trade? No, but it definitely projects the image. In Daniel's case, it's both - a highly skilled lawyer that knows how to conduct business in the social media world. Our initial closing involved a crazy seller & broker and Daniel was able to deal with them and although the deal eventually fell through he credited his fee towards our next closing. After reading other Yelp reviews I consulted this attorney to obtain a quote regarding a real estate purchase which had gone wrong with another attorney and to see if he would take up the case. After providing him with all the details of the case and receiving a quote from him (which to me seemed higher than it should have been) I told him I would return later in the day if I decided to retain him to represent me in the matter. I returned later during the day to tell him I would like him to represent me and in my second meeting with him he inadvertently mentioned information which only the other attorney (who I believed engaged in attorney misconduct) could have known. It appeared Mr. Gershburg had inappropriately discussed the case with the attorney I was attempting to fire after I had left his office earlier in the day. His conduct was just as bad as the attorney I was trying to fire and after realizing what he had done I left his office and never returned. His unethical and downright shady behavior left an impression so bad I decided I had to post this review to let others know. How he has such great reviews on this site really is a mystery to me. As a first time home buyer Daniel was referred to me by my real estate broker and I was extrememly satisfied. I was really unfamliar with the process and Daniel explained everything in a clear and transparent manner. Daniel also found points in the contract that would benefit the seller and he was able to argue these points on my behalf. If it wasn't for him I most likely would have never picked up on them. As anyone who as even been to a closing knows, they can be pretty overwhelming espcially your first one, with all the people in the room and paperwork being passed around. I did my research and after reading so many positive reviews, I decided to meet with Daniel, I was so nervous about the whole bankruptcy process prior to hiring him, but Daniel completely put me at ease and gave me confidence and explained everything I wanted to know in great detail. Absolutely the best!!!!!!!!!! Four years ago I fell on a patch of ice right in front of someones house and broke my ankle in 3 places, I had no health insurance and eventhough I didn't want to, I had no choice but to sue. My cousin recommended a law office in Brooklyn, for what should have been a cut and dry case was dragged on for years. Dan is an excellent lawyer. To paraphrase Kenny Rogers: he knows when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, when to walk away, and when to run. He is intelligent, levelheaded, fair, has an excellent bedside manner, and is an unusually good communicator. A little background: my wife and I retained his services in late summer 2013. My wife needed to sell her stake in an apartment she owned with her mother and stepfather from whom she was, and is, estranged. Dan asked us in the beginning of the process to be clear with ourselves about what we wanted to get out of the situation. Basically, we needed enough money from the sale to make a down payment on a house, and we needed the process to be as quick and painless as possible. (We have a toddler and wanted to get the proceedings over with and then get on with our lives). He never lost sight of our goals even when we did. In the end, he got us a good settlement, but even more importantly: he steered us clear of a morass which at the time threatened to consume our lives. To do this, he counseled us against litigation, depriving himself a great deal of money. My takeaway: he's not just a great lawyer, but a real human being as well. My wife and I are now disentangled from an awful situation, and in a home that we absolutely love. I'm so glad that we retained his services - this all could have gone very differently. I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents who are not yelp members, but they still felt compelled to share how professional and helpful Daniel has been while completing two real estate closings for them. As an attorney myself, I know how difficult it can sometimes be to keep your clients happy, and never has that been more appropriate than when dealing with my mother. As a typical Jewish mother, my mom can be quite demanding and overwhelming with her criticism. And yet, I've heard nothing but glowing things about how attentive and professional both Daniel and his associate have been while working with them. Daniel was in constant contact throughout the entire process, always addressing their myriad of concerns and questions with patience. In fact, that is the whole reason I'm writing this review. He did absolutely great job on my case that involved very complicated real estate issue of terminating the lease and getting back large amount of money that was paid in advance.
