I was very impressed with the competency and commitment of Jonathan the lead painter- supervisor of our job,he made sure we were advised of the flow of the work. He was in touch regularly to make sure he was doing exactly what we were expecting. It was a big job 2 story house and an out building. Three colors! Jonathan alerted me of some roof damage, some that delayed the painting and some to be checked on later. I am very happy with the finished project and grateful for Jonathan's diligence. read more

Couple months ago a lady came out to my home she painted my bathroom ceiling my bedroom ceiling for trimmings. She was very helpful and had a lot of energy she helped me with my curtain she helped me with some doors that was stuck. And most of all she helped me with the important death of deeds transferred &: which I didn't know to consider my homes with habitat I am getting this taken care of right away as soon as possible things are ready in place and again I am very thankful!!!! read more

On Jan 23 2024 at 6:42 am I was driving west on Dodge. A van was tailgating me so close for approximately 1/4 mile. It was so close that at some point could not see their headlights. They eventually passed me and I saw it was a Gerst painting van. In my opinion anyone who drives like that, especially with a company van has no integrity and I would not hire them. read more

They did an amazing job painting the exterior of our home. George and Israel were very mindful in letting me know when my dogs could go out to use the restroom and even called me out front to look at the transformation to make sure I was happy with the color and how it was looking. They maintained a clean job site while painting and when completed at the end of each day. They did exactly what they said they were going to and when they were going to. Gerst was great! They repainted the entire exterior of our home plus our wrought iron fence and did an outstanding job. They also subbed out some stucco repair work which we had been trying to get done for years and it turned out great! Well, I hired Gerst to paint my house and I thought the job was great. There were some missed spots that they came back to touch up. My big complaint with Gerst was the window clean up. The windows were totally spray painted over. The worker that scraped the windows missed some spots which I complained about, but nothing was done about it. Also, the paint that was scraped off the windows wasn't picked up and laid on the patio, window sills, grass, etc. in globs. I will have to hire a window cleaning company to come out and wash and finish the scraping of paint that Gerst left on the windows. I think that Gerst should subcontract with a professional window cleaning company to make all the windows perfectly clean on painting projects that are just finished... it would be a nice finishing touch. read more

Second time we have used Gerst for exterior house painting. First time lasted about 12 years. Gerst takes time to properly prepare the surface for painting (power wash and caulking). Painters on the job kept us updated on status of painting and always asked if we saw anything that needed to be addressed. Also did some minor repair work for us. I can't say enough of how happy we are with the end result . We hired them to remove this 1940's wallpaper we had in our house and they painted walls and trim. Has some interior water damage from a roof leak and had Gerst Painting come out to have a look. Kyle was the painter who came over to assess the damage and do the work, and he was incredibly helpful and professional! He told me honestly how long it would take and after I showed him some additional work that I would have liked to be done, even though it wasn't from the roof leak, he said they would just fix up those spots at no extra charge because it wouldn't take them more than an hour or so. The work they did looks fantastic and I would highly recommend them! read more

Andy Farrell of Gerst Painting assisted us with a stairwell paint job. The ceiling was too dangerous for us to reach. He painted the ceiling and walls. Andy took extra precautions with drop clothes and tape to assure that our home would not be damaged. He arrived each day when he said he would. Very respectful of us and our home. Ron and Casey were very helpful with estimates and scheduling. Gerst uses Sherwin-Williams paint. We will call them again. read more
