As a parent, I would have appreciated more transparency about who would be around the children during care. Another issue involved payment. I had paid in full at the beginning of December to cover the entire month--including the holiday weeks. Because of Christmas and New Year's, my workplace was closed, and I was scheduled to be paid on the following business day. I simply asked for 2-3 additional days of flexibility to pay January's tuition in advance just as I did the previous, and my request was denied. Despite already having paid fully and on time for the previous month, I was told she relied on my $250 to pay her bills. The lack of flexibility and empathy in the approach take was taken in communication was really disappointing. Shortly after, when I began searching for alternate care, the situation escalated. The provider saw my public inquiry for another daycare and abruptly demanded more money via text, saying my son could no longer attend unless it was sent immediately. This confirmed our decision to move on immediately. While I know every family's experience can vary, professionalism, open communication, and trust are essential when it comes to childcare. In our case, those expectations were not met.

Our son Jude was the first baby to enroll in what would become a thriving childcare built on the passions and talents of a woman who would become a Godsend to us and our child. Lalita gave our son many years of genuine love and care that no amount of money can guarantee. My son, Vincent, has been with Brighter Days Family Childcare (BDFC) with Mrs. Gabby and Miss Bella…read moresince mid-March 2025 (so 3 months now). My son is 2.5 years old and he is our first baby. As a first time Mom, I can't say enough positive things about BDFC, Mrs. Gabby, and Miss Bella. My son has made huge strides since starting with them. He was diagnosed with a speech delay prior to starting with BDFC, but in the past 3 months I've seen him start talking so much more, it's truly incredible. I also appreciate that they have their own app where they send pictures, videos, and updates on meal times and nap times through the app. They also communicate with me for the wellness of my son: for example they remind me when his nails get too long and need to be cut or the one time when he tripped at school and scraped his knee. They cleaned it and bandaged it which I appreciate, and overall they are great communicators. I also had special requests like for them to put his hat on him when they play outside, and they kindly have agreed to do so. They have fun, educational activities at school: for example they got to observe tortoises at school one day. They also got to see butterflies develop all the way from caterpillars (they got to see the whole development process). Mrs. Gabby and Miss Bella really have the education and experience needed for this type of endeavor, but they also have the love and respect for children that is needed as well. Now that I've been at BDFC I honestly wouldn't enroll my son anywhere else. My son was at a different preschool before when we lived in Fullerton (Orange County, CA), and it was a good preschool as well, but BDFC is honestly in a league of its own and superior to any of my expectations.
