Fast forward to my appointment on 12/13/2023, I came in for my appointment and was told that as of July 1st, they were not in network with my primary insurance, they will bill it but I have to pay a big copayment. This was the first I had heard of this and when I said something the girl on the phone got snotty and said "you were here June 5th and July 6th. We told you when you were here." I again explained that this was the first time hearing this and I asked if they sent letters out to their patients and she said no. I then asked her to bill my second Insurance and I was told she would and that the info was already in the computer. Two weeks ago I received a text that I owed money for a visit in July. I called the billing office and asked if they sent s claim to my secondary insurance. The girl I talked to sounded like she was asleep and didn't give a damn. At first I told her that my secondary insurance was billed but according to her they sent a claim and received no reply. She then said "oh wait...nope you don't owe anything. I wish I had written her name down! Then last week I received a text that I owed for a July and December visit. I was in Lake City so I decided to stop into the office and talk to billing in person. BUT the billing office is not there! I explained to the receptionist my problem with billing. she was actually very sweet and helpful. She called a manager to find out what was going on. The manager told her that because I went to a out of network doctor, my secondary was refusing to pay. It didn't sound right, I've done billing for a doctor's office and for a major NY hospital, it just didn't sound right. Today I finally got the chance to call my secondary Insurance. I was flabbergasted. The representative told me that they had 0 claims for this doctor. I was added on to my husband's insurance on 4/1/22, and they did not bill my secondary insurance for 20 MONTHS! Now i am partly to blame because I should have followed up with my secondary insurance sooner, but I had serious health problems and two major surgeries so I wasn't astute. I then asked the representative if it is true about going to an out of network doctor. will they reject the claim. She told me no it wasn't true, they would pay. She then tells me that Dr. Alanso is IN their network. How the hell did this happen?? They never billed my insurance, told me claims were rejected and ignored. It was a lie because they never billed my secondary insurance!! They didn't even try! DO they know that they are throwing away insurance money?? I called and left a detailed msg with her nurse asking for an alternative med. NO RESPONSE. 1.5wks later did the same thing. Again, no response. 1.5 weeks later sent an email in the patient portal. No response from the Dr. A week after that I left a voice mail for the practice manager and still no response. It does not seem to me that Dr. Morgan or her staff have the best [ or ANY] interest of their patients.

He was a real professional and he made me feel at ease. I think this visit was fruitful. If in need of a neurologist, I definitely think you should try here first. I had tried another clinic based on another recommendation and they didn't take new patients. Tallahassee Neurological Clinic was my first recommendation, too, and silly me - I simply forgot about it until the other place said no to seeing me. Oh well.

With my sons records in his hands he tells US (me and my other half) that "my son probably doesnt have seizures, its just his autism." My son was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 3 at nationwide childrens in columbus ohio. He even had a 3 hour status seizure, ambulance ride to Cincinnati childrens about 2 years ago. The idiot didnt even bother to read his medical records. If that isnt bad enough, his nurse STEPHANIE has a horribly bad attitude. That dr wanted to put my son on a new medicine on top of the one already perfectly controlling his seizures. When we asked stephanie what the side effects were she told us to "GOOGLE IT." When i was on the phone with her, she wouldnt allow me to get in a word edgewise for 5 minutes straight so i had to tell her to shut up and allow me to speak. After that she kept interrupting me not allowing me to air my issues so i had to tell her to "stop interrupting." At the end of the call she said to us "ok im done interrupting you now." This crap went on for about a week, meanwhile my child was caught in the middle. It goes to show they dont give a crap about the patient if all they want to do is argue with the adults. I got a patient advocate involved. She tried her hardest to contact that office and sort this out but they wouldnt return her calls. She even walked over to their office to no effect. I sent them another message through the portal and this time they got right back with me instead of making me wait 4 days. I threatened to sue because this is the medical treatment of my child, which they were neglecting over fighting with US. It was more important to that office to stick up for a bad nurse than care for my kid. I just got a call from KARLA the office manager. She was very snotty and standoffish. She basically let my son go from this neurologist against my protests. My dad just had completed his radiation treatment 3 weeks earlier. On the way home my dad had heart issues and was taken by ambulance to a Hospital in Batonrouge. They treated him for A-fib and released him. While there he kept saying that he could not urinate and had the constant feeling he needed to go. They said that was from the radiation. We left there and did'nt get to far had to stop at a big hospital in Mobile AL. the doctor there gave him a shot of morphine and pain meds. My dad kept asking them to admit him because the pain was so bad. We left the hospital and stayed the night in a hotel. Left the next morning and made our way to Perry, FL my dad was acting strange and trembling so we found the closest hospital. I am so thankful that the Triage nurse in the ER was paying attention. When she took his temp orally it was only 98.5. I was working the the girl taking all his information when I noticed they whisked him to the back. She had checked his temperature a different way and it was 103.5. He had a UTI and was septic. Her fast actions surely saved him. He was in shock. I was very emotional and the staff got him medicated and sedated immediatley. I have to Thank Dr. Griffin and the nurse Michelle and Sam in the ER. There were others but I didn't get their names. He was admited and I have nothing but raves about the treatment that he received. The nurse practioner Cara and the Dr. came in an explained everything going on. The nurse Madison and her crew were so accomodating that my dad felt safe and comfortable. I have to say that the other two much larger hospitals missed his UTI. Again Thank you to everyone at this hospital for going above and beyond with the care of my dad.
