Once Melussa learned I filed a complaint with California she sent me a letter stating I fired her when I did not now she refuses to represent me and stillwater to collect paymen when I get paid. Her team is incompetent they will try to get you to yell or fight with them so they can hang up then they will refuse to let you record the conversation. I find it strange that my own lawyer would not allow me to record our conversations. I have poor memory and listening skills. She would not allow me to record for myself. I know it isn't all his fault because SS department is a hot mess too, but that doesn't mean we should get the short end of the stick. :(

They have piggyback off of all the paperwork WE filled out and submitted. Everytime we talk the firm we get different information from different employees and "Elizabeth" is NEVER returns calls and is out to lunch or on vacation! We are blocked from the social security website to check our status and will not give us the account information. We were able to talk to ssi and they advised us to file our own paperwork and save the 20% since they cannot do anything more than what you as a client do all the work. I would not recommend this firm solely on the basis of the fact they do nothing for you, mislead you, and provide absolutely no help.

I've read some comments on here about her staff lying and must state it was my experience that the federal personnel were more likely to be in error/misfiling paperwork/having me sign the wrong forms, etc; rather than Melissa or her staff being at fault. You have to be cognizant of the fact that the government doesn't want you to receive these benefits and will make it as difficult as possible for you to receive them. You'll need an Attorney who is intimately familiar with the process and how to advocate on your behalf. Melissa Proudian was that Attorney for me.

From the moment I walked into that office. Either they knew that I was a loose cannon and I could be instrumentally dangerous or he really did take a personal interest in my case. Neither here nor there. He never let another phone call slip through the cracks. HE fought for me tooth and nail and I believe that if the system would not have had me in a position, as they do with everyone, where I was starving and almost homeless, he would have gotten a lot for me. He did the best could with the situation that was in front of him. Since my case, David did not throw me aside, like a pile of trash unlike my former company that I had devoted my life too. When confronted neither the paralegal or Gary apologized or made it right. I did finally get the diagnostic testing I needed and it came back positive. Come to find out the qme and the attorney routinely send people to each other. Also Gary's inept and uncaring about anyone with mental health care needs. I wound up being forced to sell my medical for cents on the dollar because the relationship with this office became so confrontational. Gary is not an advocate. He has more clients than his non paralegal staff is equipped to handle. I was basically forced to cancel because out of retaliation Gary stopped working for me. Highly don't recommend. Very dissatisfied.
