Very disappointing for a haunted house. We paid $15.00 a person for basically a dark maze. Would not go there again.

after flat-out refusal from my friends, i was forced into the front position of the 8-legged, huddled mass that dared to delve into the INSANITY that is ghostly manor. unlike most haunted houses- which are pretty much just pitch black with the occasional coffin scene to the side or scary guy jumping out at you- ghostly manor puts you right in the middle of the action. exorcist-themed room? how about you have to walk right around the bed? creepy autopsy scene? they make you weave in and out of all the exam tables. WATCH OUT! they might not all be dead... and then there was one sight, one sight so horrifying, we were stopped dead in our tracks. "where do we go from here?" a shrouded figure pointed to the wall of incredibly realistic-looking body bags. "uhh, NO." the figure pointed again. "but there must be another way!" we pleaded. the figure assured us that there was not. so we took a deep breath and plunged in. this was not just a wall; this was a SEA. a most terrifying experience that is forever burned into my memory. i don't want to talk about it anymore. now all we wanted was a way out of this torture chamber. fear, exhaustion, and instinct must have pulled us through the rest of the maze, for no one remembers much of what happened after the bags. we finally escaped, drenched in sweat, panting. in the middle of a... wait for it... skating rink. oh yeah, i forgot that's how we came in. i could never have imagined what was lying behind the entrance to ghostly manor. i'm shocked that i'm the first to review this place. it is BY FAR the most elaborate, longest, scariest, and absolutely most fun and satisfying haunted house that i have ever had the balls to endure. next time you visit cedar point, save some time to get the crap scared out of you. so yeah, i think i'm pretty much set on the haunted house front for the rest of my life. then again, i survived this, so really... what can't i do? read more

First, we were almost overcharged by $28. Once we entered, the kids (7&8) roller skated and played on the bouncy house for about two hours and had a great time. Our son loved that you can use scooters on the skating rink. The 6d movie has two broken chairs out of eight. They didn't tell us and our son sat in a broken chair for the movie. Afterwards, we were told he could go back in by himself and watch it again, they did let one adult in with him. The $7 miniature golf is only 9 holes and weird. It is very tight in spaces, and confusing. Some of the employees were were very helpful. Some were not helpful, and walked away when questions were asked. Some of the employees were braiding each others hair. Everything was very clean. We did not use the video games or go through the haunted house. A poor experience for $78. read more

Horrible Horrible experience!!!! Had a party way over 200$ spent they didn't have enough room for all of us! Gave us one table for 20 kids !!!! Ummmmm kids have parents also the adult family members of the child who's party it was! So kids sat at the table next to us because there was not anywhere enough room for everyone to sit at one table this man came up to a table full of third graders and yelled I mean YELLED!!!!!! At them to get up ! then told us we could have half of us sit 5 tables down from our table Almost 300$ and that's the treatment??? After that my husband told a worker the man was rude and she agreed said he's always rude so then I ask her for information on how to reach someone in charge and she says he's the owners son and refused to give me any further information on how to reach someone higher! Took my 11 & 13 year old sons here in hopes of something different than the parks. The haunted house did not disappoint. Both left talking nonstop about the experience. We were all scared as you hope to be when going to s haunted house. The "spooks" in the haunted house did a wonderful job. My issue was with the cashier and counter help. Everyone at the counter/front of the place seemed put off and slow to respond. Felt like I was bothering them w questions even though u must talk w them to use anything past the front door. I would call them rude but they didn't seem to care enough to be rude. Need new supervisors who can motivate others to care. read more

This place is awesome! Stopped by when I heard about it after our cedar point trip! As a horror fan and especially haunted house fan I couldn't miss it! The haunted house is professional quality! Compared to things I have seen the haunted house was fantastic! Truly amazing! The special effects are professional from the animatronic and pneumatic effects. Disorienting, loud, and scary! Three combinations for a fantastic haunt. Staff made me very uncomfortable. But once again you will not be disappointed by the haunt. The haunt made up for the dis interested staff. Fantastic and I can really appreciate the effort put into this as a home haunter. This must have been an incredible investment and hours upon hours of work is clearly displayed. So fun for everyone in my family! The kids LOVE the bounce houses and skating rink. I heard a ton of laughter coming from the motion theater -it was contagious how loud and hard the people were screaming laughing! Normally a place like this would not have decent food, but the pizza was actually DELICIOUS and we have it now every time we come. All our family friends in town have their birthday parties here too. The haunted house is fun for adults but there is also a ton of entertainment for kids. read more

What a weird place. I'm used to a huge abundance of haunts in SoCal during the Halloween season, but during a quick trip to Cedar Point, I stumbled upon this place. Dear lord, I say it again... what a weird place. Year-round haunts are such a gem and when they kick butt, it is something that should be treasured. Ghostly Manor first off, is the name of a place that is much more than "Ghostly". Tucked up nicely against a Rollerskating Rink, Arcade, and 3D Mini Golf is a Haunted House. Random as hell. And let me tell you, that Haunted House was a friggin blast!!! We were the only two people in the whole building on a Tuesday afternoon. We check-in, pay $11, and wait patiently for the house to be prepped. I've worked in the haunt industry for many years as performer and supervisor, and I have never thought in my life some unseen front counter guy could single handedly run around a 15 minute maze and scare me at least 30 times. I was yelling, cussing, dropping to the floor, and cracking up the whole time. This dude was on fire. It took me a while to yell "OMG, IS IT JUST HIM!?!?". So much fun, and again, so weird a random. This place is apparently on a top 10 list for Travel Channel (If my memory serves me well). Well if it is, it should be on that list. A fantastic year-round haunt with great sets, animatronics, effects, keeping my heart racing the whole time. So to anyone in the area hitting up the best Amusement Park in the country just down the street, make sure you stop by here while visiting Sandusky. A little gem I'm grateful for discovering all the way from Los Angeles... and it never hurts to get out of the soul sucking Ohio humidity anyway. =) read more

Do not waste your money. Poorly run by a bunch of ignorant kids. Only one jumpy house was blown up at a time. You had to wait in line to go in one at a time. So ridiculous. The entire experience was terrible. read more

Don't let the bowling alley location deter you. Jam-packed with great jump scares and detailed interiors.

The best haunted house I have ever been to. It had the right about of thrill without trying too hard, and the actors in the house were top notch. I got the Trill Pass, which was well worth the price. If you want a good scare, take a walk through Haunted Manor. read more

My kids had a great time. There is so much to do they were not stop. They went from the jungle gym climbing and sliding to trying out all the different bounce houses. Next they tried roller skating and roller blading and then we finished with ride on the 4D XD Theatre. My kids have been begging to back every day. read more

I like to travel and have been to a few across the country. I was not expecting a lot as most others where big disappointments IE the one off Disney Fl that closed and another kiddie level one on Mackinaw Island, Mi. However, though this one is not the longest in the world, it is definitely a thrill. I'm 50 at 275lbs and pretty much nothing 'scares' me, but this came close. However, it all but made my girlfriend pee in her pants. She normally doesn't curse, but she was cursing, screaming, jumping, and was scared witless. What a ball. Last, we went to the highly rated Erebus here in Michigan, and it was long and good also, but no where near as intense as this was. By all means Go to this one, was better than anything else Sandusky (Cedar Point) had to offer. read more

Want a scare? Take the kids here--open year round. This haunted "house" is rated one of the best. It is in an old skating rink. If you don't want to walk through the haunted house part you can skate or go on one of 3 "three D" rides. These rides are where you sit in a chair and the chair moves with a movie screen in front of you--makes some people a lilltle motion sick. The haunted house is fantastic. There is no strong gore which I like but the scare factor is a 10. It has a great beginning--somone is pounding on an closed door and yelling before you even go in--the door you will be going in. it is long and the effects are fantastic. I think they use mostly college students and around October they told me that they use more students so, hence, more people jumping out at you. The lines are long in October so go any time. There is always someone there waiting to get in. They take a group at a time. If you are seriously clausterphobic--you may not want to go. If I tell you why--it will spoil it. The kids went and I followed with a 49 year old friend of mine. We screamed the entire way. We go every year that we go to the Lake. You can go to Tofts first and get an ice cream and then here. A great thrill! I would not recommend for kids under 8 or 9. read more
