(See separate review for CLAG Brewing.) On arrival, it was mostly empty as it had just opened, but were told it would fill up. That was hard to believe as the place is huge, with multiple bar areas, tables of different sizes, and lots of standing. However, by the time we left it was filled! We sat at the main bar so we could talk to the owner. Our day had started with other breweries, so we were hungry and I'm glad we saved our tummies to dine here. I live in a city with tons of amazing Vietnamese restaurants, but this place blew them all away with maybe the most flavorful pho I've ever had. A huge bowl, not overly salty, with fresh produce and great flavor. Some of their beers are brewed perfectly to go with these zesty citrus flavors, so you really can't go wrong eating and drinking together. As I knew this was my only visit this trip, I also ordered a plate of fried rice which was also fantastic and I loved trying their sauces with it. Prices are so reasonable for the quality here. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, great beer, and cool vibes, this is a must visit spot!

We waited 45 minutes to get a salad, it was a Caesar salad salad and they were already out of Romain dressing at 7 PM on a Friday night. We had a Caesar salad salad with spring mix instead... No big deal. The portions were huge, but our dinner came in an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down. It was painfully slow, I will say our waitress was apologetic and helpful. And I know that it was busy, but it's really no excuse for it to look so dirty. It only takes a minute to sweep under a table after a party leaves. The bathroom was deplorable, there was water on the floor and muddy footprints everywhere. The napkins on the ground around the tables along with discarded french fries and shrimp tails were a bit gross. The food is five star, the rest... ehhhhh

The atmosphere was lively and family-friendly, and they had a blast while we were there. It's definitely a spot that keeps kids entertained and makes it a little easier to relax as a parent. What truly stood out was the staff's integrity and kindness. I accidentally left my credit card there, and not only did they go out of their way to mail it back to me, they included a cute little Thirsty Pony drink coozie in the envelope. That was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch. Customer service like that really matters. The atmosphere and the way they handled my mistake absolutely left a positive impression. But they're so much more. C.ocky L.ittle A.sian G.uy namesake Khan joined us for a lot of our visit and shared about his business, beers, and life story. Sandusky seems like a city reawakening from another time, and CLAG is definitely an anchor in the downtown area. The brewery is located in what seems like an old department store; there's lots of free parking outside. It's divided into a few main areas: inside the door you'll find a ton of refrigerators with 4-pack cans and limited bottles ready to go. Their prices are ridiculously low for the quality, a great option to stop before a party to stock up. They have a casual lounge area right inside and a shelf filled with the leftover label stickers from past releases, all free to take. The main area is the bar and restaurant (see separate review), with another lower bar which felt more casual to the left/down. Behind the bar is the brewery area, which is huge and not being completely used yet (they could expand, but doesn't seem like they need to). Khan took us on a great inside tour of these area, it's as simple as they come with an amazing finished product. Outside of their flagship hazies, they also excel at other styles including super clean rice lagers, and big boozy styles. They also have merchandise including tons of glassware inside. If you're a fan of great modern beer, pop culture puns, and great people, this is a must-visit brewery.

Everything was clean and looked nice. Staff were very friendly and they chatted with us and made recommendations. The proprietor was there and was a riot. (He's the guy on their fun beer labels). When we first arrived my friend spotted an old beer he loves on the top shelf. He asked the owner if it was for sale. Soon my buddy had a bottle of Lizard of Koz by Founders. Great service. The beer and food were great. They seem to specialize in New England IPAs (juicy and hoppy but not bitter) as they have so many on the menu. They also had stouts and porters. What a great tap list. I don't want to leave out the great food. I had a beef Pho and my friend had the TNT roll. Both great and flavorful. A big thumbs up. A place not to miss if going to Cedar Point.

The views were amazing from every angle and direction you looked. 2 pools and hot tubs. Indoor pool and outdoor pool. Game room. 4 different places to eat. A few bars. Beach access and activities. I would love to go back for a day and not even go to the park but just enjoy the hotel and its amenities. I do want to point out one thing that was kinda frustrating for us. The guy who checked us in told us that the pools closed at 9 but the hot tubs closed at 11. That didn't make sense to us. So we left the park early so our kids could play in the pool just to find out they're both open until 11. Both pools and both the pools and hot tubs. That caused us to take time away from the park when we didn't actually need to. The park closed at 10. It didn't make sense for the pool to close at 9. It also didn't make sense that the hot tubs which are in the same area would be open until 11 but not the pools. While we only stayed 1 day here, we spent Saturday evening-Monday afternoon at the park. Had we only been there for one day, and been given wrong information about the pool times and left the park early for the pool when we didn't need to, I would have been more frustrated. Hotel Breakers - Waxing nostalgia turning to disappointing modernity…read more My wife and I have been visiting Hotel Breakers annually now for about ten years, vacationing with her parents, sister, and all of our kids. My wife and her family have been visiting since she was a child. For them the return visits continue to be largely motivated by memories and tradition. I have the benefit of a more objective look at the resort, but even they agree on the following points. Reservations / Check-In : My mother-in-law calls to reserve rooms the first available day they can be many months in advance. Every year she requests three adjoining rooms in the same location of the resort, even supplying specific room numbers as an example. Ever year the results vary. Sometimes we end up on different floors or the wrong area. One year one of the rooms wasn't reserved at all. This year we were in the requested area, two rooms adjoining and then one down the hall. I've never had anything close to this situation occur at any other resort and it continues to boggle my mind how this ask is never accomplished without incident. We were once told the reservation team was not part of the resort but either a fully siloed team off-property or maybe even a separate entity entirely. I am not sure if that is still the case but the process of reservations has been around a long time and is not as complicated as it seems to be made here. The front desk / check-in team has always seemed unprepared and without much empathy. The Pools / Splash Pad : The pools this most recent trip were the dirtiest we have ever experienced. An incredible amount of bugs and debris were in the water and the filters did not seem to be turned on our whole trip. When we asked a life guard / attendant at one of the pools she let us know it was "her first day" and was unsure of what to do. There are elements at the splash pad that I don't think have ever worked in the near-decade I have been visiting the resort. The liner of the pools is an extremely coarse material that I don't think has ever changed and I have never experienced anywhere else. The quality of maintenance and upkeep in the pool areas was summarized this trip by a food tray leaning against a trash can for the entirety of our weekend. The Rooms : Less egregious than the first two points, I don't believe I have noticed much of an upgrades to the rooms here in our years visiting. Furniture and walls displays wears and tears and everything feels clean...enough. Our patio set was pretty filthy this past visit and it was disappointing to have to clean it ourselves compared to the room rate. Speaking of room rate, the prices at this resort feel tough to justify based on the experience on the property. What you are paying for is proximity to Cedar Point and Shores, as well as the beach. The proximity is a great amenity (especially with kids) and we would find it hard to do the trip without it. Much like Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores, everything appears to have taken a budget cut since the merger with Six Flags. I would love to see the Hotel Breakers put some emphasis on returning staff service levels to their former high levels, put money and effort into maintenance and upkeep, and justify the high room rates by offering more than just proximity to attractions. The Breakers is a historic and beautiful resort that deserves to meet the expectations of those who visit it.

There were 8 of us. And 1 was a 2 yr old. The good. They have a good amount of choices to drink. Their wine, guest wine, and a full bar. So lots of choices. We tried the summer blush. It has strawberries and peaches. It was good. I enjoyed it. We bought a bottle for $25. Orders lunch. I got the Korean cauliflower appetizer. It was pretty small. Giant piece of leaf lettuce in it. And the ranch dressing was also inside of it. Not a ton of the cauliflower. Kinda disappointing to be honest. I ate it. I liked it. But not sure how it is supposed to be shared by a table with not a lot of food. Disappointing. My partner got the portobello sandwich. She said it was very sloppy and just OK. So food is kinda pricey and not really worth it. This is a nice winery. Plenty of choices to drink. Lots of space inside and outside to sit and drink and hang out. Wine is OK. Food in my opinion is pricey and not as good as it should be for the price. Staff was nice. Plenty of parking. This almost feels too touristy and just a money grab. Just my opinion. Probably skip next time I'm in the area. Try something else.
