Will never shop at this location again. Parked my car in the lot at 8 am and it was towed at 10 am. Had to pay $550 to get my car back after less than a day. Any company that allows the owner of their parking lot to allow such predatory towing practices should be investigated. I, and no one i know will never shop at any store in that lot on Oak Ave. Not taking any chances in being scammed. Giant knows about this towing company but doesn't speak up to the property manager to forbid the towing company from taking cars from the lot. read more

Been shopping at this store for years. The bakery is the worse. 11am on a Saturday and most bagel bins were empty, that's a disgrace for a weekend morning. One of the entrances is permanently closed. Isn't that a fire hazard? Only one exit. The store looks sad, dark, and dirty. It never was like this. Yet, all the other giants are clean and bright. Hire security if you think its that bad. Putting people in danger to save a buck. Shameful. read more

If I have to check myself out then I'll register should be working further more when you go to call the manager there's no voicemail so you're basically just screwed shopping here. I have been shopping at this store for 5 years, exclusively. Twice this week I went in, loaded my cart with close to $300 in groceries, and walked out because I refuse to stand in line at self checkout behind 35 other shoppers. There were only 2 cashiers working in the full service lanes, of which both had people standing in line, at least 15 customers deep. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

I wish Giant would supply Zest bath/shower gel. Too many Dial, Dove and too many Suave on the shelves. A store with the name Giant suggests a vast array of items. Zest is name brand soap. Please supply it, and (before you say it)...No. the dollar store doesn't carry Zest since it's $3.99 a bottle). Giant is a great store but some things they--oddly don't carry--i.e., closet needs (moth balls). Otherwise, I like shopping at this particular Giant, the staff is always pleasant and helpful; and, the store is always clean even though the funny robot isn't gliding around anymore. read more

Plenty of parking at this Giant. They have a large gluten free section which is great if your child has allergies. A huge produce section that comes with a freshly stocked salad bar. The staff is friendly and the lines are never crazy when I visit. Now if they had a gas station it would be perfect :) read more

I generally have good experiences at this Giant. So overall I think it's a good store. I must call them out however. Right now I'm sitting at home eating dinner. I bought a pack of stuffed boneless chicken breasts yesterday in the meat department here. Just baked them, and just realized after seeing the finished product that they actually sold me stuffed pork chops mislabeled as chicken. They're lucky I like pork. But I think there's a meat department employee that needs a talking to. read more

It's too much to expect employee to wash hands before handling cold-cuts? On several occasions, prepackaged cold cuts smell like cigarette smoke. That tells me who ever cut and package did not wash hands. What else they don't do? Sometimes some perishable left to spoil and in morning smell at fresh meat is horrible. Salmon is 1 to 5 change to smell foul when you get it home. Too much stuff placed in walking space between aisles, makes it uncomfortable and in rush-hour, straight up antagonizing. Prices are higher then BJs almost on everything, except on fresh meat. High stuff turnover, but on average, customer service is ok. Pharmacy has good employees but small selection of drugs. A lot of drugs has to be ordered but wait not to long. Prices better the Walgreens and CVS. But not Walmart, but who wants to deal with walmart customer service. read more

Giant always seems to have good values. You can definitely get caught up in purchasing items that seem to be inflated to match par with an item that is on sale. But if you're paying attention to prices you should be fine.! read more

I'm done with this place. I usually go to SR but will stop here stuffed cherry peppers from the olive bar and I'll always grab a few things. Ive went here once a month this year and at least 3 or those times I've purchased out of date product. Last visit was expired cereal, the time before that was tea. I shouldn't have to check the date on every item I purchase. Makes me question my olive bar purchases. read more

For years we have been shopping at this Giant, and for years we have seen a noticeable and sad decline in many areas of this store. Customer service is at an all-time low with ignorant and disconnected employees who do not give an appearance of valuing the customers they have. Although there are a few exceptions, most have an unfriendly demeanor and complaining spirit. The store itself has gotten increasing dirty, disorganized and unstocked. Recently with the advent of "digital coupons," there is a continual frustration that those coupons, when loaded on the Giant card, will not actually show up at the register. The employees claim that you need to give it 2 hours to show up on the card, but interestingly enough while shopping, the signs on the products tell you to load the coupon and it will be there. The cashiers will not make an attempt to rectify the problem. Incidentally, while this review is specific to the Aldan Giant, we experience similar issues at others we visit. Very sad, this used to be a great, local place to shop. read more

this store is a joke, the deli department personell move like they are on dope, so slow, no hustle, takes forever for them to fill a simple order, the older white gentleman is so slow and takes his good old time, took him 5 minutes to give me a pound of potatoe salad, then asks me if i am happy, i told him he is lucky i am not the supervisor or his ass would be out the door ! he purposely moves as slow as a turtle, he needs to go along with most of the others, the only one in deli dept that is good is mark, but he is not always in deli dept, get rid of the rest ! also, prices are sky high, even know gas prices are down to 3,25 a gallon, prices need to be reduced now that gas is not 5 bucks a gallon, also shelves are empty most of the time ! go to price rite down the street, prices are so much cheaper and much better employees ! read more

Had ordered a mini sandwich tray for 20 25 people called on Saturday August 14 and gave my order to Allison the deli manager ask for order to be ready for pick up at 3 on Sunday the 15th was told would be ready when I arrives to pick up order they couldn't even find the order , if it wasn't for the great girl in the deli who worked hard to get it done and the amazing assistant store manager Chris for his awesome customer skills and for compensating me I would have walked out and never return to that store again which I shop at 2 to 3 times a week , thanks again read more

The produce there is pretty pricey but not much of s good quality compared to other grocery stores around the area. The salad I once had tasted a bit soured and old. The male manager there was rude and snappy to me one time. The place is pretty tidy, however. But I don't recommend this Giant at all! read more

Good evening to my Yelp Family! I had to write this review to Send up a Huge Thumbs UP to Suzanne Tavares. This woman is stellar first class!! Ms. Tavares works in the Customer Service department of this Giant. I observed Miss Tavares closely as she worked. One customer was irate with her and gave her a considerably hard time about the fact that Suzanne was by herself and no other associate was around to assist her. This customer complained that there should always be two people behind the counter. This complaining went on for about 2 minutes, until another customer in line told him to stop complaining to say if you don't like it, go someplace else! The complainer stopped complaining and then it was his turn to be waited on. Suzanne never skipped a beat, never lost her cool and was overly patient and helpful with this complaining customer, a man. I was happy to see that Ms. Tavares performed her job well, never got mad and continued to smile the whole time!! Ms. Tavares should get the employee of the year award, not employee of the month, but employee of the year - 2019. I had to give her a shout-out, Lord knows she deserves much more!!! You go girl!!! Also Mr. Robert Hans was pleasant when I encountered him and asked him a question. My go-to-Giant location is the one on Township Line in Havertown, but I end up here when I am perusing this area. Decent stort although the newly opened one on Sproul is much better - more selections and the store is fresher. However, for this side of Baltimore Pike, they do an OK job. I come in here from time to time. When I was looking for filet mignon roast for the holidays one year, this was the only market that had it. This used to be a wonderful store. Lately however, no matter what day I attempt to do my shopping, their shelves are cleaned out of every single item I need. It almost looks like blizzard preparation in there. I can never get what I need. I have been to this store the last 4 days straight and they still can't stock their shelves. It's really inconvenient. I love the cleanliness and safeness of the location (compared to the other location in Lansdowne which is a nightmare). I just wish they would stock their shelves more often. I'm not quite sure what the hell is going on with this store but the entire management staff should be replaced. The shelves are constantly empty, especially in the produce section. The shopping carts are horrible.....good luck finding one that's not broken. The fresh meat department is usually closed at 7:15/7:30 although the sign says it's open until 9:00. And whoever had the brilliant idea (In ALL Giant stores) for the stupid checkout lines with the plastic bag carousel should be fired too. If you're going to do that at least train the cashiers on how to load a bag. read more

Love this store. Employees are always very nice. I'm always in and out real fast. They are always well stocked and organized.

I have to say, I am pretty obsessed with Giant. This Giant is right between my work and home, so i find myself there quite often. They always have what I need- from a grocery order to a snack. Their produce section is always fresh and I adore their organic food section! When I enter the store I'm greeted my the pleasant smell of fruits and vegetables. They have many options, and (sometimes) have some fairly unusual fruits or veggies. They offer vegetarian and dairy free options, which I cannot find at any of my other local grocery stores. The employees at Giant have not been particularly eager to help- but if I ask, they will always give me the help I need (which is fine by me!). The employees that work behind the fish counter are particularly nice and helpful. One even remembers what type of fish I buy week-to-week! I would love to see more tiny carts and less big carts at Giant. Occasionally I will have to go out of my way to find one. Overall, I wouldn't think of shopping anywhere else. read more

This store is going down hill. There are never any carts, you have to go search the parking lot to find one. There are almost no prepared foods so unless you want a rotisserie chicken (if they have any) or some dried up fried chicken you can forget about this store. They are frequently out of things and the selection is not that great to begin with. On the plus side they do sell Boars Head cold cuts but that is the only positive I can find. read more

I love this Giant. Employees are friendly & I love the self checkout. My husband says they have the BEST donuts. My only criticism is there aren't nearly enough of the little carts. With displays in most of the aisles it's difficult to maneuver the larger carts throughout the store. I frequent this store weekly so I know exactly where everything is located so shopping is a breeze. read more

I have shopped here for years Excellent prices and selection. BUT over the last few months I've had various problems with some of the cashiers-I asked one for paper only and she tried to give me paper and plastic because "everyone wants" that. After today's horrible experience with Adam I have decided to keep shopping here but do the one thing I hate-I will use the self-checkout lanes. I hate those on principle-they cost people their jobs-but in this case I'm fine with that. The staff who work the floors are super nice and helpful but not the cashiers. Pity. read more

I agree with Vicki in all areas except they did some renovations and it's nicer looking now. I only wish it was 24 hours like 99% of other Giants. The Lansdowne one is 24 hours though, but they close off the HBC section at 11 PM. Hard sometimes because I get out of work late. read more

I love this store they have everything you need all at one place. You have to go just to see how GREAT this store really is and what a good experience you will have. The staff are so helpful, happy and friendly!!!! If you need a bank go to Citizens. They are all so friendly and will take the time with you, even if the bank is packed.
