I shop at this store quite frequently due to the gas station here. It is a nice large store, very neat and well managed. I shop in the Shrewsbury PA Giant which is significant smaller and if frequently occupied all of those store employee shoppers with those large silver carts that are always in the way. I wasn't annoyed by those carts here in Parkville/South Hanover. I first noticed this on my first visit, but it has occurred each time since. The people and customers are just nicer here. My father-in-law loves this store. The aisles are wide and the store is easy to navigate. Store employees are always helpful. Wide aisles are ideal for someone walking with assistance. The self-checkout is something we avoid since there are too many steps. A favorite is the fresh produce, especially sliced watermelon. Another favorite is the dark meat fried chicken. My family member loves this and is disappointed when there is no dark meat selection. Keep it available for a fifth star! The Berks bologna deal of buy 2 get 1 free was a good deal. You offered several choices, perfect for gifting.. and personal consumption. Watch your gas prices. They're no where near Sam's Club, but you need to improve the prices to align them with other stations that offer cents off per gallon. read more

Nice presentation, excellent selection, large produce section. They have several food bars, an olive section, wide selection in the Deli, prepared food and meals. I find the bulk bacon is as close to homemade as I have found and has a good price on it. Good Bakery. We lovingly call the location near the square in Hanover on Baltimore Street the "Little Giant" because it is smaller than the store on Eisenhower. This has really become my go to store. While not as large as some of the other locations, it has a terrific variety of products. I'm constantly surprised by what I can find in there. Yesterday, for example, I found a brand of spaghetti sauce that I had only been able to buy at Costco previously (and I hardly ever can make to Costco due to my distance to the closest location). In addition, I have had great success in special ordering items from the produce department. Many times, I have found the selection in this store even better than at some of the larger stores. The store is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is easy to enter and exit. I have nothing but love for my "Little Giant"! read more

Today, I made a quick stop at the Giant Store on Baltimore Pike. As always, I stop in for a few items and end up going out with additional items. I noticed your Maier's Premium Italian bread was on special as a BOGO. Being the only one in my household, I was disappointed that you do not discount customers buying only 1 loaf of bread. I did buy the one loaf (This Time) even through it is cheaper at other stores. I would hope your store would consider 50% discount on customers buying only 1 item of a BOGO in the future. The Weis Store, also on Baltimore Pike does honor customers buying only 1 item of a BOGO. I am disappointed in your marketing approach. read more

After shopping at Giant foods in Hanover PA for 23 years, I am no longer shopping there. The store on Baltimore St. is often out of stock on circular items, on a Sunday! Items on top shelves are not pulled forward so that customers can reach them. They carry multiple duplicates of some items in multiple brands, but discontinue single items in another. For example, they must carry 15 different kinds of balsamic vinegar, but have discontinued the only brand of tarragon vinegar in the store. Staff members are rude, and the counter under the scales in the deli section is always dirty. Complaints to the company website get no response. I will no longer be shopping at either Hanover Store. 0 stars! Don't waste your time or money. They don't value their customers. read more

This place has a bit of everything and great customer service. Really large selection for those that like organic items and also a large selection for those that need gluten free items.
