My concern to the CEO to the supervisors on all who are in charge of ordering food items. What is the true meaning of not ordering seeded watermelon? What is the reason? Is it cheaper for you? You know that it's not healthy for human beings. Why are you purchasing and not giving the customer the opportunity to choose? We need seeded watermelon in the store we as customers can make the choice if we want want seeded watermelon or seedless give us the opportunity. We are spending our hard-earned money. We need a choice and I hope this message go to the right person. Something need to be done because you guys know that the seedless watermelon is not healthy for human consumption but yet you put it in your store anyway. I ordered lunchmeat on the app At 6:30pm. The app stated it was complete and ready for pick up at 7:30. I drove all the way out there only to find the deli closed early and they never filled the order. The person behind the counter told me the app automatically says it's ready for pick up. read more

This store has no idea what their own sale items are or how to interpret their app sale items. Tried buying Cabot cheese that on their apps sale items says they should be 2 for $5.00 thru 9/7/23 and their app say buy 5 get $5 off online. No one could explain the "online" option. Some said it's not advertised in store but only online, others said I had to order online, others said it was only good for delivery orders. No one had any explanation why they did not come up 2 for $5 either. Finally gave up and left all my items at the store. I'll try Weis. read more

This Giant is pretty much an archetype of a run-down, rust belt chain store. While the store was clean, it seemingly had years of hard miles on it. It looks old and feels depressing. I just needed to pop in and grab a few things and had not been to this store before. It was completely self-serve with no employees on the floor to assist customers that I could see. Even the check-out process lacked a human cashier. So, from the time I drove into the parking lot until the time I left with my purchases, I had exactly zero interactions with any Giant staff. Considering how old and industrial the building looks, that could have helped to put a little human emotion into the buying experience. Bottom Line: This is a great store for the clinically depressed, extreme introvert or those that shun human contact. For the rest of us, it has the basics at a reasonable price, but you will not leave feeling better about the world. read more

When the online coupon wouldn't download to my app (which it never does, btw - and if you're a Giant Rewards Member for 20 years, why do we now have to clip digital coupons to get in-store deals that never download correctly to our apps or accounts?) Came here as a pit stop. This is not an easy place to find if you are not from the area. So other patrons driving on rt 83, they'll have to make u-turns or drive around and figure out how to get to the plaza. Normal every Giant I've been to is good. Obviously stopped here for a snack and use their bathroom. Pro: their bathroom smells like apples, which I love bc all other Giant stores do. Con: dirty unattended bathrooms. Not good considering it's not super busy and it's a Wednesday. I've been to other stores in a low income area and they do not lack in bathroom cleanliness. read more

I stopped here after cracker barrel because the salt on the windshield and empty windshield washer reservoir told me too. I was glad that I only had to go to 3 aisles and I got all I needed - windshield washer fluid, clear packing tape and coffee. I recommend this store. The only thing that was 'different' was the Uscan had the volume cranked! I guess they get a lot of elderly shoppers since there is a Manor Care right up the road. read more

I shop here because it is sadly the best grocery store in the area, and that says a lot, because this Giant is not the best I've ever been to. The MD Giant brand stores seem to have a better price and quality (Never had to send meat back in those stores). I guess because your options are either Weis or Giant, they tend to markup prices and slack on quality. I would give my right pinky for a Wegmans within a 10 mile radius. Sadly, Wegmans thinks lowly of this area and will not be coming anytime soon. They feel those of us who appreciate them are few and far between in this area. Sadly I can understand this mentality after visiting the local Walmart. Update: After two visits to return meat that had gone bad within 3 days being in my fridge we've decided to not shop here at all. There's no reason to support a store that has low standards for something as important as our food. read more

I shop here because it's closest to where I live, but I think I've had it. Out of the last five times buying produce at Giant, three times I've come home and found that one of the items I bought was rotten and hidden inside a bag or carton so that you wouldn't know until you got it home and opened it. I've also opened meat on at least two occasions that had gone bad, but once again, didn't know until I was home and didn't want to drive back with it. I called once about the bad produce and the woman (Megan) told me that I should bring it back - really, let me just take this rotten meat and/or produce and drive back to your store because I have nothing better to do. Today's trip left me coming home and realizing that the grocery bagger had forgotten a couple of my items as she'd set them off to her right. I generally end up shopping at the end of a long day, so shame on me for buying bad produce/forgetting an item once, but seriously?!? THREE TIMES over the course of two months plus rotten meat. You should probably fire your produce guy and consider some quality control. I think this is it for me, I'll drive the even longer way to somewhere else. read more

It's a chain store, but I find they have pretty good quality and selection. I love that I can get my groceries, fill my prescriptions, do my banking and buy books of postage stamps all in one stop. Something I can appreciate that the younger generation has no clue about as I remember the days when you had to go to the grocery store, go to a pharmacy, then the bank and the post office to accomplish the same thing, (plus we went to the local butcher to get fresh local meat). I LOVE Giant. It has really gotten progressively better over the years. Yes, you'll be paying a little more than if you do your grocery shopping at Wal-Mart... but you'll be getting much better quality products at Giant. Just look at their produce section. They've recently added on all kinds of splendid things like a coffee shop and a salad/hot wing bar. Also, they're getting a lot better about organic foods. Our Giant has 2 whole isles of it! Woohoo. I just reminded myself why I seldom shop at Giant when I picked up a gallon of orange juice............it was 80 cents higher than the same brand at Walmart. The gas pumps were also 10 cents/gallon higher than the Sheetz station one block away. You can save money by NOT shopping at Giant. read more

THE STAFF and custumer base at this NORTH KENTUCKY giants...aka central Pennsylvania....have most of there teeth !!!....unlike the GIANTS store past the red barn and over the hill..in RED LION...so that's huge to me. THE staff at the Pauline drive location are personable and share storys that move you while ringing up your order....1 cashier shared with me how her grandma re-assured her that her olive skin wasn't because she was mixed with black....then asked me if I wanted my tea double bagged....I thought that was nice of her to consider my tea. read more

I usually shop at Pauline Drive even though I hate it. It's just slightly closer than the Red Lion store which is light years ahead with a more space and a beer/wine garden. My recent problem is bread that is as stiff as Styrofoam. Once in the last few months I got an actual fresh loaf. It now occurs to me they must have started refrigerating it which is bad! Most of their baked goods are refrigerated because the manager of Pauline Drive told me that causes most of the complaints. I just got a fresh loaf of bread at Walmart but shouldn't an actual food store have better food? Giant is hard to figure out. Pauline drive has packs of Sechrist hot dogs but Red Lion only had them once in a special cooler. Red Lion seems to have nicer people. read more
