My past chiropractors used stim-pads and/or roller-massage tables instead of this very localized technique. I found "active release" very effective on my "hunch shoulders" syndrome inflicted by today's lifestyle: too much sitting at a desk or steering wheel. His traditional spinal manipulation method is firm and effective. Let's face it, a former NFL linebacker should be able to move my spine! To be fair I was told I could be adjusted but it would be another $50 or I needed to sign up for a package or a plan. Why or how would someone sign up for a package of adjustments when you have not had one from the therapist, and don't know if they will be good? I was told very clearly on the phone that the first appointment would be scans and the second would be a review, a proposal for a plan, and an adjustment. But I guess that adjustment only happens on the second visit if you sign up for a package.

After my massage she showed me some stretching exercises to help my tension areas. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and not sore like other deep tissue massages. (The room isn't not purple, that's just a bad phone camera. Very relaxing atmosphere, light music, heated table. Dr. Carter and the front staff are so friendly. The alignment I received was much needed, and as always, very affordable. His office is spotless, and the whole session was quick--done in about 10 minutes. Dr. Amin's wife is always very welcoming, adding to the warm atmosphere. The price for adjustments is very reasonable, and the location is convenient. I also love the design of the waiting area--really nice and comfortable. The fact that he's open on Saturdays is a huge plus for me with my busy work schedule. My local friend recommended this walk-in chiropractic office. It was OUTSTANDING! I told him either I need to move to north liberty or he had to move to Kansas City near me. He took *exceptional* care of me, much much better than my home chiro. He listened to my concerns, he worked on my point of pain as well as potentially related spots.
