Relatives were in town so we headed downtown for some shopping and came across Fortney's on Main Street which had a sign in the window that said the business had moved 3 blocks away to Mound Street. We headed that way and found the Fortney Home which is an historic mansion filled with antiques and collectibles. The owner has filled the whole house with items and each room has it's own theme. Lots of high quality stuff for sale here. The owner is a longtime business owner in Nacogdoches and has had several different businesses over the years. Check it out! Then while I was driving I noticed a big bright colorful sign, it read Cavender's, so I went to the store and I was feeling excited, I was saved! Note that at this time it was around 7:42 PM and I felt that I was going to be in and out in time for them to be able to peacefully close. I was wrong. It was nearly 18 minutes until closure when I pulled up to the store and saw that they were closing the store early! I understand that some people are exhausted from working for hours on end, but you think they could at least make it clear that there would be an early closure?? what's wrong! Now I was sitting in my car defeated and I just drove back to my apartment. I'm sitting on the office chair I bought a couple of days ago as of right now and realized I will have to attended this gathering shirtless. I come from a very religious family and if I were to come to this gathering looking like i've never stepped outside of my house before my grandparents would be absolutely furious! All because people aren't mindful of others. This is what's wrong with today's world! Society is collapsing!
