Cassie and her staff are incredible- not only do they keep you up to date on how your child is adjusting, they actually take the time to learn your child's personality and bond with them. They do art projects with the children and I can honestly say now that our son is with children his own age, he has learned so many new skills. I randomly came upon The Cottage one day while driving, I stopped in and was greeted by Dana, the then owner, she was more than happy to give me a tour and introduce me to the teachers each of my children would have. I was instantly in love with the place, it is a school atmosphere, they don't just stick 20 kids in a room and let them go buckwild. Since then The Cottage has been taken over by new owners, Elle and Dustin, who are amazing and very diligent in dealing with any needs or concerns you have. The school has been recently renamed to The Cottage Education and Learning Acadamy, because it is more than just a daycare. Each class has curriculum type schedules, which include Science and Spanish, and parents are always informed of what is being worked on that particular week to keep it going at home. The teachers are amazing and always have the child's best interest at heart. If you are looking for the best school in the area, The Cottage is worth your time to stop and tour. Of course it costs a little more than your average day care, but isn't that the point, it isn't your average daycare! Children remember and learn the most in their youngest years and will carry their experiences with them forever, why not give them the best you can and you will find that at The Cottage!

The rates are reasonable, and no childcare provider cares more about the kiddos than Miss Betty and her colleagues. My two children have been going to Children's Montessori Center for the last five years and I haven't witnessed anything discribed as what the last person has outlined - EVER! This is a high end Montessori Center and I feel my children are in a safe and clean environment. I have never walked into CMCI to find my children or anyone else's children unattended. In addition, I feel the staff is very professional and friendly. I have never witnessed any teachers EVER yelling at children or engaging in any inappropriate conversations. My children are excited to go to CMCI every day as they make learning fun. This isn't just a daycare, it's a learning center. My children learned at an early age how to write their own name, alphabet, all the presidents (in order) and continents by the time they were 3-4 years old, just to name a few. I cannot express how thankful I am to CMCI and Debbie Henry for preparing my children for grade school. I absolutely love this school and highly recommend it to anyone. My son started attending Christ the King Child Development Center in 2015 when he was 1 1/2 years…read moreold. I was drawn to the center for its excellent reputation, faith-based curriculum and attentive staff. Had you asked me to rate the program a year ago, I would have given it five stars. However, a lot has changed in the past year. In the past year, two directors have left the program as have a majority of the staff. The handful of tenured teachers who remain are excellent, however, they are overworked, stressed and unhappy. New teachers have been added, and they seem to disappear as quickly as they start. The quality of care has gone down considerably. The breaking point was the beginning of December 2017 when the school board (comprised of Christ the King Church Members) made the decision to increase tuition effective January 1st. They are instituting a 10% tuition increase effective in less than a month for children over the age of 1, and a 40% increase for children under the age of 1. That's right - 40%, putting monthly childcare for my 8-month old daughter at $995. Unfortunately, that is just too steep for our family and I now have less than four weeks to find alternate care for my daughter. While I do not mind a tuition increase and would have gladly accepted it at the new school year. Less than a month's notice (and at Christmas time) shows how out of touch the school board is with the families attending the childcare center. While the board "humored" parents by allowing us to attend a meeting and share our thoughts, it is clear they are simply placating us and have no desire to actually work with the families. In addition, they have outright lied to us on numerous occasions. While I still adore the handful of teachers that are in my children's lives, I do not trust or have any faith in the board that is overseeing the decision-making for the school. We are pulling our daughter out of school at the end of the month and will be transferring our son at the end of the school year. I strongly encourage anyone looking for childcare to look elsewhere until the board is no longer involved in the day-to-day operations of the school.
