The signage is pretty good outside, but it never hurts to share information. Parking wasn't too much of a challenge on a Tuesday downtown, and the cool interior of the building felt great after the short walk over. The mercantile store offers a lot of cool things to browse while your coffee is made. There's also an (unaffiliated, I think) chocolate/confection selection that's quite beautiful and impressive. Second off, let me just say I'm kind of obsessed with the branding here. It's got a plane motif and the catchphrase "your morning wingman" for coffee is just too cute. I saw this company is veteran owned; I wonder if Air Force? Not sure, but the concept is adorable regardless. Their barista seemed to be ringing a mercantile customer up when I arrived. He was very apologetic about not being right with me. It was not a huge deal at all (I waited less than 2 minutes), but I appreciated his eagerness to help me. Great service! I ordered a medium iced salted caramel + dark chocolate latte, one of their recommended flavor combos. It came in a cute cup and the ice : coffee ratio was perfect. I didn't get much dark chocolate flavor but the caramel was there for sure. It was a very creamy, thick latte with a balanced flavor. Personally, I like my lattes a tiny bit sweeter, but I'm definitely a sugar freak when it comes to coffee, so YMMV! Overall, it was yummy and I'm glad I stopped in. The strawberry pretzel salad was probably the best thing, but it was all in very discrete layers, which is not my preference. The pretzels were completely separate from everything else and it was hard getting a bite of all the elements put together. That said, the flavors were good, though the strawberry part could've been a bit sweeter. The cupcakes were fine. I thought there was a smidge too much frosting on them for the size of the cakes but it wasn't egregious like it is at Bite Me Cupcakery at Bridge Street. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake didn't have much peanut butter flavor (only the bites with PB drizzle); personally, I was hoping for some peanut butter flavor in the cake itself. The cookies and cream was bland but not overly sweet, which was a plus. Overall, for my experience there, this place offered pretty but expensive desserts that satisfied if not necessarily blew my socks off. It might be a good spot for a quick sweet tooth fix if you're enjoying time at Stovehouse.

Signage is a little discreet but they have some flags advertising acai bowls. The inside is beautiful and nicely decorated -- modern, clean, has a bigger city vibe to it honestly. Walk around the corner to find the bar where you can order your drink. Service was exceptional. I was greeted warmly by a younger man with dark hair. I took a while looking at the menu (indecisive) and he politely told me that they were recently under new ownership and if I didn't see what I wanted on the menu he'd be happy to try and accommodate me. I saw they had a peppermint mocha which I love in all seasons and I asked how minty it was. He said he'd gladly tone the mint down for me and so I agreed to order that. He made nice small talk and brought my drink out to where I was sitting to wait. It was a simple interaction, but he made me feel very welcome and at ease and I really appreciate it! I checked out their social media later and saw a picture of him that had just been posted announcing the new ownership -- I wonder if he's one of the new owners? Either way, he was excellent. My drink was also pretty solid. I was missing a *tiny* bit of mocha flavor but the coffee itself was smooth and creamy and the peppermint had been toned down to an ideal level for me. The latte was beautiful, with swirls of what looked like marshmallow and a generous sprinkle of graham cracker on top...but to be honest, it tasted pretty generically coffeeish and was a little on the bitter/acidic side for me. It wasn't terrible, but not really what I was hoping for. The pumpkin muffin was moist and fluffy and I enjoyed that. They have drinks besides lattes (tea, matcha, I think I saw dirty sodas) and some simple food items too. I'd probably order a different drink if I were to return, and maybe ask for extra pumps of whatever flavoring was in it, but on the whole, a decent enough experience that served the purpose I needed it to.
