Let me remind you- this is a VOLUNTEER department. None of these men or women get paid for the service they do to our community, and they are largely funded by donations and grants. This money goes into equipment, training, classes, etc.. Not a dime goes into their pockets. All of these firefighters have jobs outside of the department, and most of them have families. Responding to fires and motor vehicle accidents can often take them away from their jobs (where they do make money) and families. Christmas morning has been postponed a time or two in my household because of a call. This department is full of people who I know well and am proud to know. They deserve more recognition than they get and Ajo as a whole is grateful of their services. Ajo-Gibson Volunteer Fire Department will always have a place in my heart!

Not only is it cool that in the month of March and September this shadow occurs, but love showcasing it with a contest like this. I know I personally made it an effort to come out to two businesses that I may not have if it weren't for this contest. If you are a year-round resident, be on the lookout for their shop local card as it provides a discount to select local businesses during the summer months. The card is typically $2 and so worth it! He investigated my complaint that I filed online and he actually called me this morning which is a Sunday morning at 9:10 AM to discuss the complaint and I have to say that he went above and beyond to satisfy the situation. So I wanna thank Matthew for his efforts in making things right. And as he stated people that have an incident and they're not happy with USPS must file their complaint on the website or the email to USPS for any action to be taken. I followed all the proper steps in filing my complaint and I got the results that needed to happen.
