Everything everyone else has said is absolutely spot on! So caring and not eager to just cut! Which is not what I expected from a surgeon. He gave options and was very easy to talk with. I highly recommend him to EVERYONE I know that has bone or joint pain!

My first visit was pretty good. I felt like he did his research before I even walked in, which made me feel important, or that he actually cared. He got my background and did troubleshooting. Dr gave me his professional opinion on what he thought was going on with my knee. After dotting the I's and crossing the T's he gave me options on what he think would be best before just cutting me open. After a couple attempts of injections, I realized it wasn't working but Dr had a solution. Staff even make a difference. From the front desk Receptionist to the Nurses of the Drs. The solution that was chosen worked fairly well. If I learned anything from this experience, its that some Drs actually care about your well being, rather than feeling like they know and start cutting on you with no hesitation. I appreciate Dr Schultz and his staff for being so professional and making a difference.

There were a couple of nice folks, but dang, do they put up with some nasty, grouchy people. It's an orthopedic place, so I get some are in pain, but it's no reason to take it out on the staff. But in any case, I was told to come in half an hour prior, I came 45 minutes early. It's just what I do. I had to wait for two people who thought their appointment was more important than mine as they jumped ahead of me to check in. After that, I feel like my wait was minimal and even if it weren't, no one asked me to come 45 minutes early. I was given paperwork promptly. I filled it out. I turned it in. I then returned to my seat to await my appointment time or until my name was called. In my very short wait, I scoped put the waiting area. It is quite pleasant looking and comfortable, with ample seating. Everyone was wearing masks, but I'm not sure if they're currently required or if they were just worn out it habit. I was called very quickly I thought and an extremely nice lady went over a questionnaire with me before the doc came. He arrived quickly, addressed my issue and presented solutions, should I feel I warrant further care, and I went about my way. Pretty quick, efficient visit.

I had a complete knee and was back to work after 35 days. Great care and knowledgeable. Dr Duell…read moreand team , thank you.

Then to the front desk where you meet one of four very nice ladies, or two at once as in my case because, I gotta kid with both sitting within reach. Debbie and Rose are so fun to deal with and make such a journey a pleasant one. The gent in Radiology was nice, although his name was not caught, as my visit in their was quick. My primary clinic nurse here so far has been Jayme, and she is so kind! One of the biggest prettiest smiles in the place. Got to bump into Michelle briefly. She will be my surgical nurse practitioner. Another very kind person! Denna was very fun too with my X-Ray jokes. :-) Dr Sheen was pleasant to visit with and understood my needs and immediately had me transferred to Dr Schacter. I'm getting a knee bilateral and Dr Schacter is the only one in town doing them. He was very kind and a great patient-doctor demeanor on our first visit. Answered all my questions. After the visit with Dr Schacter my surgical appointment is confirmed and I head into their on-site financial office. Chana is the lucky one that drew my straw and she was a real joy to work with. Makes all the worry go away when they do whatever they can to set you up to pay for the procedures. Helps to lift that worry off your shoulders. As of this writing, I am one week out from the surgery. Will drop back in and update after the surgery. Probably a couple months later so that I'm not influenced by the post surgical narcotics and pain. ;-)

I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time so far being a patient with Dr. Ewing. I originally found…read morehim by researching online for doctors in Oklahoma that perform carpal tunnel surgery endoscopically. Although I had a surgery already booked with another doctor for the traditional method I felt like endoscopic surgery made more sense for me. Boy am I glad I did my homework! I am currently 2 weeks post surgery and feel great. My scars are minimal and I was able to use my hand immediately following surgery. So far I am very pleased with the results. As far as my experience at Dr. Ewing's office I don't think it could get much better. When I initially called to inquire about surgery they were very thorough to answer my questions even though I wasn't already a patient. Once I decided to schedule an appointment they were able to get me in as a new patient the NEXT day! I was so impressed. All of the new patient paperwork is available on their website so I was able to fill it out at home and minimize my wait time in the office. The office staff have been very friendly and pleasant to work with both in person and on the phone. I had some issues with my insurance and Melissa in the billing department went above and beyond to resolve the issue and communicate the resolution to me. As far as my actual appointment, Dr. Ewing spent quite a bit of time with me explaining the procedure and answering my questions. It is very rare to find doctors who are willing to spend time talking with patients and get to know them on a personal level. The fact that Dr. Ewing did that helped build my trust in him as a surgeon and eased my nerves. Additionally, since he is a DO, he seemed to take a more homeopathic approach to medicine which I appreciate. He gave me some suggestions for supplements and foods to ease some of the discomfort I was experiencing. I love it when doctors are open minded to other alternatives than just pharmaceutical solutions. Obviously my surgery went great but I won't mention the details since it was performed at a surgery center not affiliated with his office. As far as post up, I received several phone calls from his PA, Amber, to see how I was feeling, if I needed anything, etc. I was in and out of the office within 45 minutes for my post-op appointment and then received a follow up call two days later, again from Amber, to see if my complications had subsided. I have been so impressed by the personal interest both Dr. Ewing and Amber have shown! Dr. Ewing only performs surgery for upper extremities but he will be my first choice in surgeons if I ever need additional surgery. I can't recommend him and his endoscopic approach enough.
