And my daughter, who is 8 and pretty good little artist loved it. She came home with the most beautiful watercolor painting she had ever done! It was of some goldfish and it was amazing! I was blown away! I loved the easy going pace that the kids learned in and everything was there for them to work with. We just had to show up! I looking forward to sending my kids there again for another session.

Taste Of Morgan Hill is a wonderful festival held in Historic Downtown Morgan Hill and it focuses…read moremainly on food and wine. This free and family friendly festival has been going on for the past 25 years and is one of the cities most popular events. They have a food court area with some amazing eats, a nice wine and beer garden for those looking to kick it up a notch, there are plenty of vendors, live entertainment, a quilt show in the Community Center and last but not least they have an amazing Custom & Classic Car Show. Not only that but they have plenty of rides for the children, pony rides, a petting zoo and the Wildlife Education & Rehabilitation Center (W.E.R.C.) which brings live birds, snakes and other reptiles to educate people about wildlife. I have been coming to this festival every year for the past 4-5 years or so and I really enjoy it, there are certain vendors here that I like and I'm only able to find them here such as Mansmith's BBQ, Hillbilly Tea and Scampi Shack just to name a few. I love everything that the festival has to offer, there are some really great vendors here, great food and I absolutely love the car show. The car show is not a little rinky dink one either, it takes up a large portion of the street down by the Community Center and I just love to see all the old timers showing off their cars, comparing and reminiscing about when they bought the cars. This is definitely a must if you live in the SJ, Morgan Hill or Gilroy area because it really is a great festival. This is by far my favorite festival here and I will keep coming every year. It's best to come early morning because by 11-12 it's starting to get crowded and it's usually really hot by that time.

Well today was the day, and we had docents Ric, Carol and Carol (yes two Carols) who gave us a great tour with lots of historical insight into the location and the history of Morgan Hill. If you are a history buff like me, it is a great place to visit. It is free and takes less than an hour to go through. I may be doing it again soon. We also learned you can rent out the Hiram Morgan Hill House for events. Learned a ton from three VERY nice and knowledgeable docents and really enjoyed stopping in.

Some people even set them up Thursday but I would be afraid of them getting stolen. It goes from 6pm-9pm but you want to get there at least an hour if not earlier because it gets super packed super quick. Now they have security checking to make sure no one brings outside alcohol beause they have a beer/wine booth. They also had aome ice cream, kettle korn, and a couple other booths. Downtown is walking distance so you can put up chairs then walk downtown to eat and you will be good to go. We do use the actual restrooms so that is nice!

The conventions are fun and a great way to make new friends. Some of our future projects include repainting the playground of a local elementary school. Fundraisers to support our service projects include The Pre-Mother's Day Arts and Crafts Fair and Raffle on Saturday, April 29th and Bingo starting in the beginning of June. When we got to the theatre (a quaint, historic hall), we lined up, paid for our admission and were taken to our reserved table. We got a table to ourselves and when we were seated, we helped ourselves to ginormous basket of delicious snacks. The M&Ms were my hubby's favorite and I liked just about everything else. The house is spacious and deep and the stage is elevated which helps with viewing the performance since the house isn't raked. We went to see a performance of "The Foreigner" which turned out to be a fun, entertaining comedy. It was a great evening of entertainment and we got to meet the family and speak to them for a bit afterwards which really made me love this theatre even more. What a great venue, theatre company, and theatre experience. I'm excited to come back!
