This review is long overdue but I feel it's necessary to provide my input on my experience…read more I had ongoing shoulder pain that progressively got worse over time to the point where it was bothering me throughout the day. I searched Yelp and found Gabriel Goldman nearby with stellar reviews. Little did I know Yelp would steer me wrong. I setup an appointment and met up with him a few days later for a consult. He seemed very confident and told me that it would take many sessions and it may be costly but he would resolve my issues. He examined my shoulder and diagnosed me as having a lot of scar tissue in my shoulder from injuries and possible overuse. Now to the appointments.... I saw him a total of 6 or 7 times. Each appointment consisted of electrical stimulation/heat for about 20 minutes followed by about 10 minutes of ultrasound and then another 20 minutes manual therapy/massage. There was also an occasional adjustment during some visits. These are some of the issues I had during my visits: 1) The heat cuffs/blankets do not have any cover on them. Each patient sweats profusely with it and it is not cleaned at all between visits which seems quite unsanitary. 2) I never once saw anybody wipe down or clean the patient tables in the treatment room or the adjacent room. This should be standard practice. Again unsanitary practice. 3) The electrodes on the e-stim machine should be replaced after each patient. The electrodes were just reapplied back onto a plastic sheet and used on the next patient (Gross). 4) The end of the ultrasound device was never sanitized. The gel was just wiped off with a paper towel. The breaking point for me is when the manual therapy/massage left me severely bruised. The bruising was so bad I couldn't use my shoulder normally during times. The entire back side of my shoulder was left with HUGE dark bruises. Family members and my girlfriend were blown away when they saw the extent of the bruising. Gabriel Goldman told me this was normal and part of "breaking down the scar tissue." The tool he used to do a lot of this therapy was "a rock that he found on the beach." What the f....? Some of the normal things I had difficultly doing after these sessions included driving, showering, putting on a shirt, etc. What irked me is that he continued with the same treatment even though there was a lot of bruising and obvious pain and he stated it was ok and part of the process. I was already compensating with wrong muscles when I had my injury and this no doubt added to it, at least in my mind. My friend who is an MD advised me to stop this therapy and get an MRI to rule out anything serious. He told me to get the potential diagnoses/treatment notes from Gabriel Goldman and send it over to him for review. I called Gabriel Goldman and let him know I need my patient notes and potential diagnosis to review with my doctor friend in an upcoming visit. He got defensive and started asking questions. I let him know I was advised to get an MRI to rule out anything serious. His response was "I could have ordered that for you too." Ok...so why didn't you? So I let him know I would be moving on and he agreed to send me my patient notes. 2 days go by and I hear nothing back. I email him and no response. A day later I call and leave a message and no response. I call again and talk to him. I let him know my appointment is tomorrow and he finally emails me my notes. In the email he states: "Referencing my chart and your initial examination my impressions were that you had a subacromial impingement, but in my comments I had differentials of tendonitis/tendonosis and possible even a partial rotator cuff tear." WOW. Why wasn't any of this mentioned to me during my visits or my initial exam? What ever happened to the "scar tissue" diagnosis? So that is my less than stellar experience. The only upside is that his adjustments were nice (as a chiropractor I would hope they would be). But again I doubt the adjustments had anything to do with my treatment protocol, just another charge to tack onto my insurance charges. I wouldn't waste my money with this kind of care. Please choose wisely.

I really don't know where to start. But I really contribute me being able to walk again (post hip…read moresurgery) to Dr. Goldman. I saw him weekly post surgery. He got me off of crutches, and worked muscles that needed to be activated/engaged again. Physical therapy left me in a great deal of pain and inflammation. I actually stopped going because it would have me down for days afterwards. I switched gears and went with Dr. Goldman to help me recover. With a concrete plan of care, and sticking to it, I am now BOXING three days a week AND personal training! His quality of care is what has me back and better than ever. I actually feel stronger now! And if things get wonky from a workout etc, I swear it just takes me one adjustment, and everything from my lower back, to my neck feels aligned and solid. He has been a life changer for me!!! I will always sing his praises from the rooftops!

I went through at least three different lawyers at Donahue Law firm during the process. It was hard to speak directly with my lawyer when I called for updates. They failed many times to call me back when I left messages. This included a 6+ month long span around late 2023 to early 2024. I finally had to write a letter before I got a response. The excuse what that an intern or a secretary was not passing along messages and they had been reprimanded. It felt like whichever lawyer was handling my case at each specific time were putting in the bare minimum effort. During the actual hearing things felt rushed and witnesses on my behalf were excluded from giving their testimony due to time constraints set by the PSRB. I would have liked the lawyer to have addressed this beyond stating that their written letters on my behalf would be sufficient. Also during the hearing it seemed a lot of questions were not asked by my lawyer and I would have expected an objection or two on my behalf. Prices on services seemed to come in at random and would be added onto without much explanation. Specifically I believe I was at first told the examiner in my case would cost $3,000 which I paid. Then it jumped up another $2,000 which I was barely able to cover. All told I was into everything around $10,000. Lastly after the matter was settled and I received the acknowledgment letter from the PSRB I turned it over to Donahue Law firm expecting to begin the appeal process. Instead I got two weeks of radio silence and when I finally got through the secretary informed me that they don't do appeals. I was directed to a webpage to fill out a form to start the appeal myself. This specific form required a lawyer acting on my behalf so it wasn't any help. I was also given the number of an appellate lawyer based in Portland who had no interest in my case. Along with the delays from the PSRB and Donahue Law firm I have been in a time crunch and thus scrambling to find a new lawyer. I will miss the 60 day deadline to file for my immediate appeal. So now I'm looking at two years before I can appeal.

I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing and i believe harmful experience with…read moreDonahue Law Firm, specifically with their attorney, Audra. In February 2023, I hired the firm to represent me in a sensitive case involving a Tier 2 sex offender seeking access to minor children while on parole with the state of Oregon. Unfortunately, after nearly two years, I did not achieve an outcome that I believe was in the best interest of my children. Here is a summary of my concerns: 1. Failure to Request a Venue Change: Despite my repeated requests for a venue transfer, which I felt was a critical step due to logistical challenges and scheduling conflicts over the two-year period, the firm did not act on this. In my opinion, this decision--or lack thereof--had a significant impact on the case's outcome. 2. Missed Opportunities to Present Key Facts: I provided the firm with documentation, including police reports, criminal records, and state-recommended parenting plans, which I believed were highly relevant to the case. Unfortunately, these were not presented during the hearing, despite my understanding that they would be. This omission left me feeling unrepresented and unprepared in court. 3. Negligence in Addressing Child Support Issues: I experienced challenges with child support enforcement that I brought to the firm's attention, including unpaid amounts and documentation of changes in financial circumstances. Instead of resolving these issues, the final order incorrectly lowered the support amount, due to missing facts that I believe were a responsibility of Donahue as I provided them early on. 4. Weak Representation and Lack of Strategy: I felt the firm's approach to my case lacked thorough preparation and effective cross-examination. There were moments where I expected stronger counterarguments or more pointed questioning, which I believe could have strengthened my case. Instead, their responses seemed unprepared and overly reliant on vague explanations. 5. Poor Communication and Record-Keeping: After noticing discrepancies and delays, I filed a formal complaint with the firm, seeking clarity and resolution. I followed up multiple times, but weeks went by without resolution. This left me questioning the firm's communication practices and organizational standards, which I feel were inadequate for handling a case of this complexity. 6. Unprofessional Withdrawal: After I shared my dissatisfaction with their services in a public forum, the firm chose to withdraw from my pending case. While they are entitled to make this decision, it felt like a punitive response rather than an effort to address the legitimate concerns I raised directly with their office prior. 7. Failure to Cite Relevant Legal References: Throughout the process, I noticed a lack of reference to applicable Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) that could have supported my claims. This gave me the impression that my case was not being advocated for as effectively as I had hoped. While this is my personal perspective, my experience with Donahue Law Firm left me feeling deeply dissatisfied. I believe their lack of preparation, communication, and follow-through has had lasting consequences for my family. If you are considering this firm, I would recommend carefully evaluating your options and seeking alternative representation. Edited: also worth noting their yelp reviews stand at a 3.7 currently. I believe they are getting reviews successfully pulled down off google but not yelp.
