I'm still using this gym because it's so close to home that I don't have any excuse for not going!

And most of it looks that way…read more As you approach the entrance, there is a stained glass window that has a tennis player on it...with a 70s haircut and knee high white socks. The interior keeps with this theme. The best feature of the club is the indoor tennis facilities, which are kept up very nicely. If it wasn't for the excellent condition of the tennis courts, I'd rate it 2 stars. There is a pro shop, where you can get racquets restrung, buy balls, racquets, clothing, shoes, etc. The gym... is ancient. Some of the workout machines are so old they look like medieval torture devices. I kid you not. This place is also popular because they have several racquetball courts. Unfortunately, several of the courts are open at the rear wall or the upper sides. It can be frustrating when your game is interrupted by your ball leaving the court and bouncing into the gym or a neighboring court. They are one of the only places around that allow you to pay-to-play, rather than have a membership, so I still use the place often. The locker room reminds me of a 1960s high school. I won't shower here, and the thought of using the hot tub is laughable. The staff has always been helpful, and very nice. This could be an excellent place if they invested in modernizing.

Had a very bad experience with instructor Jeff Carter. Scheduled a 3:30 to 5 appointment for today…read morefor my 2 grandsons who were home for a few days for the holiday. At 10:30 the eve of appointment Jeff called to see if we could come at 7 pm which just couldn't work. Jeff assured me that he would meet commitment at the Knoll for 3:30. At 1:30 today he tried to reach me to move appointment to his house in Mendham,. we were already in Boonton Township visiting the kids great grandmother, Mendham made no sense. Again he said no problem, he'd see us at the Knoll. At 3 he called to cancel. We had our day and various stops built around getting to the Knoll at 330. The kids were looking forward to the lesson. Im still fuming and in my opinion this guy is a ridiculously self absorbed jerk.

Please use caution if you're considering their van transportation service…read more Our experience with the transportation service was extremely concerning. On one occasion, the driver never picked up my child from school, and we were never notified. We believed our child had been transported to Centercourt as usual. Near the end of the day, the school called to tell us that our child was still there, alone, because no one had come to pick them up. As parents, not knowing where your child is for hours is terrifying. I had to leave work immediately to pick up my child. In any emergency, accurate knowledge of a child's location is critical, and this incident demonstrated a serious breakdown in communication and accountability. Unfortunately, Centercourt did nothing to make up for this. We also experienced another incident where the transportation van broke down, causing the children to arrive over an hour late. Based on our experience, I also had concerns that some drivers were difficult to communicate with because they spoke little or no English, which made it harder to address transportation issues when they arose. If you are considering relying on their van service to transport your children, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about their driver screening process, communication procedures, backup plans, and how parents are notified if something goes wrong. Our experience left us feeling that these safeguards were not adequate.
