On one occasion, the driver never picked up my child from school, and we were never notified. We believed our child had been transported to Centercourt as usual. Near the end of the day, the school called to tell us that our child was still there, alone, because no one had come to pick them up. As parents, not knowing where your child is for hours is terrifying. I had to leave work immediately to pick up my child. In any emergency, accurate knowledge of a child's location is critical, and this incident demonstrated a serious breakdown in communication and accountability. Unfortunately, Centercourt did nothing to make up for this. We also experienced another incident where the transportation van broke down, causing the children to arrive over an hour late. Based on our experience, I also had concerns that some drivers were difficult to communicate with because they spoke little or no English, which made it harder to address transportation issues when they arose. If you are considering relying on their van service to transport your children, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about their driver screening process, communication procedures, backup plans, and how parents are notified if something goes wrong. Our experience left us feeling that these safeguards were not adequate.
