Wing Wah Coventry is a very nice place to go to if you are looking for Chinese cuisine, but they…read morealso offer some western starters like onion rings, and some Indian dishes as well. The service is practically exceptional, as customers walk up to different areas and take food themselves. The only exception is the Teppanyaki and pancake section, but in good reason as they're prepared by staff freshly, and you can see them making it. It is an all you can eat buffet, but you should avoid overfilling as for every 100 grams of food wasted they incur a £10($13.46) charge. The atmosphere can be busy and crowded or calm and quiet depending on what time you go. The men's toilets are surprisingly clean for a public toilet. And the even have a section near the toilets where there are computers (fixed cabinets) where you can play GAMES. Not like space invaders, but proper games, completely included in the buffet charge. I went with 3 kids and 4 adults including me and for those 7 people we were charged 135.something pounds. My personal favourite thing to do is either placing the ice cream under the chocolate fountain or downing those Chinese Creme Brulees. I had a blast here and I would definitely come again.

Some of the food wasn't super hot, which was the only down side. Food tasted great, but was lukewarm at best by the time you got back to your seat to enjoy. Noticed a few flies on the jello, other than that things were great!

Wow, nice little jewel in the crown in a strange location, next to an Esso garage on the busy A5!…read moreBut if you're up for good quality Indian cuisine and excellent service, then put this place on your list. It's certainly not a cafe (don't know who called it that!) it's Simla Indian Restaurant - the best in the Midlands!! Excellent starter of tempura prawns gave me 3 king prawns with a sweet chilli dip and a pesto sauce, just in case. I ordered a bottle of South African Pinotage to wash it all down - and when the main course arrived I certainly wasn't disappointed! This place claims to be the best Indian restaurant in the Midlands - and I certainly have no reason to dispute that claim. Very, very impressive, hence the 5 stars awarded!! And, to finish, a chocolate roulade (I was going to have the raspberry but the waiter recommended chocolate...) and it was sweet and tastyish... but no, too manufactured so don't try it! This restaurant is far too good to have a bought-in roulade on the menu, so try one of the fresh Indian dishes instead!! Now that's REALLY fair - I asked for the bill and when it arrived the waiter told me he'd not charged me for the dessert because it was his recommendation and I didn't like it so much. Really good place (and the loos are spotless) so I'd definitely recommend you try it.

Came here as a group of 5 for dinner with work colleagues. They were some really great highs and…read morethen some really bad lows with the dishes, hence 3 stars. Along with the uneven food, the service was indifferent as well, which contributes to the overall "A-ok!" 3-star score which is a shame really, as some of their dishes were just so good! So to start with the high - if you are a vegetarian, then let me tell you the good news / the veggie dishes here tasted spectacular! I LOVED the eggplant & green beans- in fact the hum of delight I inadvertently gave out when first tasting the eggplant dish caused one of my co-diners, who dislikes eggplants, to give this dish a go. There was a beautiful creaminess and bright Unami-ness to this dish. The eggplant was absolutely my favorite dish of the night, followed quite closely by the green beans! Those beans were so bright and crispy! Loved the strong crunch they produced in my mouth. Next favorite in rank was the lamb with cumin and onions. I've never had such aggressive cumin seasoning in a Chinese restaurant dish before, but this was good! The lamb maybe could have been more tender but overall it wasn't too shabby. We also got a popcorn spicy chicken dish as well as a soupy fish curry - both of which I massively disliked the taste of. The chicken just tasted off and old - the individual pieces were also too oily. The fish had this aggressive peppery seasoning that would just taste weird in the mouth. The curry tasted soapy to me. When it came to Service, we just couldn't seem to get the waitress's attention. Our rice bowl got empty and it took a while for her to get us a refill. Water wasn't bought to our table either and it was just a pain trying to get any server's attention once all the food had arrived. BTW, the reason I don't know the names of the dishes we ordered is because of our colleague is Chinese-American and we asked him to do the ordering for us. He also paid the bill, so no idea about cost. Overall, in conclusion, I'd definitely return for anything vegetarian, but be cautious of anything with meat or fish on the menu. Yelp 152/ 2019

Not too rude (at the risk of benchmarking to a stereotype), not too cold, but at the same time there wasn't much of a recommendation in terms of what to order. OK - I suppose I can deal with that one. Food selection seemed pretty authentic and varied with everything from chicken gizzards and duck tongue to tripe and intestine mince. They even had a decent vegetarian selection. I ordered the lamb with cumin and the pork ribs with prawns. Both were spicy but differently so. The pork noodles was excellent. Highly recommended!

The portions are generous and I'm no expert on thai cuisine but my wife and I have always come away happy. The service is very good in my opinion, the dishes come very quickly and the staff are happy to help wherever possible. We organised a large group of us for my Mums birthday and they were very accommodating and we stayed drinking and eating way beyond their set closing time. The building is very long and relatively narrow, most likely as its previous occupants ran a strictly buffet-style Indian restaurant. The private car park is very large but curiously always nearly empty even though there's a fair few people inside, good evidence that the place is picking up a lot of passing trade which is encouraging with the likes of Akbars and other fast food shops opposite. The atmosphere is generally very pleasant and the elevated bar and waiting area separate to the main restaurant is a nice touch. My wife has found it to be a touch chilly whilst seated however, perhaps a touch of dutch courage will be required next time. As for pricing, last night we paid £30 for 2 mains, 2 starters and 2 drinks which is entirely reasonable. They also offer a buffet option at certain times but I have yet to sample this.

That includes starters, mains and desserts but drinks are extra. The food was nice and was being constantly refreshed. There was something for everyone. I must say I have been to better places of a similar nature but I think Red Panda is nice for a change. It's good value (well, it was for me, my 11 year old had 5 course for £6.50!). The main dishes included curries, chicken, sushi and vegetarian as well as chips and onion rings. Compared to other places, Red Panda is fairly small. It's very clean. The staff are friendly. The only thing I didn't like was that, unlike other restaurants, they don't come to your table to take drinks orders or to give you the bill. You have to do all that at the bar. Although, if drinks are ordered at the bar, they will be brought to the table and added to the final bill. I went with a party of 8 including kids. We all found plenty we liked and certainly got our money's worth. I wouldn't mind going again to see what it's like at lunch time (it's a bit cheaper then! I guess they wouldn't have quite so much choice though). I didn't go to the toilet while I was there so I can't say much about them but those who did said they were OK. The men's and women's toilets are separate but the sink is in between the two. They are upstairs. I didn't notice whether there were disabled toilets or disabled access.
