There was also a child loudly expressing distress ("I hate this place") and acting out, again without clear redirection or support from teachers. As a parent, what stood out most was the lack of active engagement and supervision. It did not feel like a structured or safe environment for young children. Kids running wild and unsupervised. We ultimately decided this was not the right place for our family, and I would strongly encourage other parents to do a thorough visit and observe closely before even considering it as an option.

Becky and Brian (owner) are the faces of this establishment that draw in and retain families. The director, Michele (not to be confused as the owner) made our experience as parents a frustrating one, to say the least. My interactions with Michele were non-existent at best, traumatizing at its worst. My child spent over a year there. They were happy, they enjoyed being there and had great experiences with the teachers and assistance in their classroom; teachers acknowledged my child as bright, sweet and with great manners. In the few times where we as parents had to interact with staff, our approach was again, with great manners and respect. Issues arose particularly with having to communicate with Michele. Based on interactions, I would categorize the director's communication skills as tacky and unprofessional; her behavior as poor and without reproach. Most communication was through email and there were a few face-to-face, all informal. In one instance, I requested a meeting to discuss policies as they related to actions taken against us that appeared targeted and outside of any written policy. Michele refused to speak with us openly and informally, stating that she would "not be meeting" with us. The owner (graciously) took the meeting instead and we a productive dialougue. Then a HUGE and serious decision was made regarding my child - with no *formal* meeting to discuss the situation, followed by an outright refusal to provide *valid* supporting documentation. A formal meeting was requested and for a 2nd time, Michele refused, stating that "there is no benefit that can come from a meeting" and canceled the formal meeting that she had previously requested and agreed upon. Our time at Kiddie Academy Fuquay concluded when we were blindsided by a "last day" date, not by our choice. Not considering management, Kiddie Academy Fuquay was a decent place for us and we would have remained until school age, given we could eliminate any direct interactions with Michele, who was given full authority to continue to mismanage and misdirect our patronage. In your decision making process, take note of how management has responsed to negative reviews on Google: gaslighting, deflection, redirecting blame instead of accepting responsibility. If you are considering this location, consider with caution. An establishment is only as great as its leadership.

Firstly, the director promised we could get a sibling discount on part-time (4 days per week care). It wasn't until the day I came in to sign enrollment paperwork that we were told by the owner there would be no discount since they were "doing a favor" by providing a 4-day week. It was a sneaky move and I wish I would have pushed back on the greedy owner. There were several policies that were detrimental to the children. Most days when I would pick up by babies they would be crying in their cribs while their teacher cleaned their classroom. When I brought this up, I was told it was the end of her day too and she was required to clean. Children should never be put in cribs to cry while someone uses cleaning products around them! I also saw feeding utensils put in the same bucket as cleaning supplies. Classrooms are consolidated at the end of the day to account for ratios. I noticed that my son was coming home with diaper rash, sometimes so bad it was bleeding. When I asked why they weren't using cream on him, they said it was because his cream was in his other classroom and they weren't allowed to move it with him. To allow a child to cry and bleed without diaper cream just because of policy is terrible. Overall there are plenty of great centers in the area. Spend a little extra money and enroll your children somewhere else.

Overall, Janet provides the bare minimum and ignores glaring errors that have the potential to harm children.  I recommend choosing a different child care center for your child.  Here are the details of my experience: I reported to the state that KinderCare fed my daughter a pancake (that had eggs in it) and she's allergic to eggs. I looked at the state report and Janet denied that it happened. This is a representation of my experience with her and with Kindercare as a whole. I have the entire experience documented including their phone call to me and the notes from the KinderCare app. I cannot believe someone caring for children can make such bad choices.  I also reported a teacher grabbing my daughter's arm and aggressively pulling her forward after seeing this with my own eyes when I came to pick her up, and the state reports there is no proof so nothing can be done. Additionally, Janet said she inspected my daughter's two arms (which she didn't) and that she spoke with the teacher who denied the incident. So, the teacher said she didn't do it, and even though I saw it with my own eyes - nothing can be done. YIKES!!!!
