The staff are very inviting and quite accomodating, even thou they were packed they were all keeping an eye on everyone attending everyone. Me being a vegan, i found it hard to eat there (obviously) but as my brother enjoys japanese food we went there for a night out. I asked for a miso soup which i expected it to be vegan but for my surprise i found a clam inside the miso souo which seem weird... But the sushi that i had and the tempura were very nice!! It took a long time for these two simple dishes, a lot of waiting... but the food was good. The restaurant is located right behind the main street behind the big shopping centre Corte Ingles.

Asian food is probably not high on my list when I come to Las Palmas because we usually have an…read moreauthentic home cooked Korean meal but we were meeting a couple of friends for lunch and thought it was a good idea to check out. Like most places in Spain for lunch, there is a menu del dia (menu of the day). For €9, it included soup, salad, tempura, sushi, kimbap, fried dumplings, bulgogi and fried rice. What a bargain! We had a scan of the a la carte menu and it is a good mix of the basic Korean and Japanese dishes and reasonably priced (€9-12). All 5 of us went with the menu! Everything was quite tasty - the bulgogi a little side for me but everything else was good. The place is so much bigger than expected when you look from outside! It gets very busy so highly recommend making reservations before you go. Also they are closed on Sundays.

This is a nice family run business, with papa I think as chef and the siblings as wait staff. You…read morereally want to like this place! After lengthy discussion with my partner and our experience, we agreed on our views and experience of my 1 star deduction: 1 star deducted for extremely long wait between the appetizer to our main meal. It was already a tad of a wait for the appetizer already. It was the first time, in a very long time of dining out, that this was quite the long wait from the two meals. As I have experience in the restaurant business, I rarely make any commotions out of this, and I have to say at this time I was considering of doing so for the first time in a while. I would put the wait around 30 minutes or a tad more. To be fair, they were really apologetic for this later on and explained that it was quite above the capacity for that evening (on a Monday evening) - but I felt then it would probably be better not to serve the appetizer so "early on". It didn't appear to be at full capacity when we walked in so we were a bit surprised but then we saw a few small groups ordering some dishes that probably added to the queue. We like the food okay, but we feel it's adequate for a 3 star rating, nice if you want Korean food if you're nearby; but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here in Las Palmas while I'm on holiday again. We had this food that evening b/c we were so tired of eating local food that was rather really oily and wanted have some Asian vegetarian food for a change. This is in Gran Canaria and I didn't expect to have the most mind blowing Korean food I've ever had (and it isn't for me), but it was okay for what I needed that evening. The people here are genuinely really nice especially the female waitress who you can clearly see was working as hard as she could. So if you happen to stop by here and want to switch things up to Korean food, why not give them a try if they don't appear to be at full capacity.

As an American living in Europe over 10 years, I love to travel in Europe and taste many local…read morefoods. But I got tired of Spanish tapas and lots of hearty foods, so we decided to "detox" with Korean/Japanese food here. I've tried a few Asian eateries in Gran Canaria and I like this one the most: - Service: boss was very good. He closely watched the operations and service. When one of the servers forgot something, he saw that and corrected it immediately. Kudos to hands on managerial oversight! Speed was very good. - Food: care was taken in terms of the order the food came out and the temperature they were served in. We had the ramen (shoyu and vegetarian) which was good, I personally wished there were a bit more veggies in my bowl. The starters: Kim chi (spicy, very nice) and onigri (seaweed was slightly warm which brought out the nice seaweed noir taste) which we liked both. I liked that our desert, the chocolate cake w the ice cream, was slightly warm when it was brought out so that made it very nice. The taste and the presentation is good. * For those American yelpers, please keep in mind this is not Korean/Japanese food in America. This is still made for customers in the local market - so it's not going to be American giant size portions. I felt the portions was adequate/decent and one shouldn't look to eat super size me everywhere anyway. - Location: great location. It was minutes away walk from the beach. One star was deducted only bc this wasn't the blow away restaurant on the island. I would definitely come back here again.
