After a recent rain storm, our basement flooded and it was the weekend. We always knew about this company (it gathered excellent reviews), but never thought we would need them. With another storm coming up we knew we had to get someone in fast. We called Frank Giordano and he came during the day on Monday to assess the situation. He gave us a quote, we accepted, and he would then have to look to see when he could do the job (of course everybody wants their job done first). He called back later that night saying he could do it the next day. We were overjoyed as we knew more rain would make flooding worse. He came Tuesday when he said he would, introduced and described his workers so we knew what to expect of them. He finished putting in the drainage line that day, staying after hours HIMSELF. Before leaving he told us that the next day he would have another piece of machinery here to do "clean up", and it was. With every contact, Frank and his employees (all hard working) were COURTEOUS to us and RESPECTFUL of our property. Frank actually went beyond (a few extras) what was expected of him to do, to which we were quite happy about. Everybody thinks contractors are expensive, but you do have to pay for the BEST and HE IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM! I've worked with many contractors over the years--some good, some not so much. However, today I had the opportunity to work with Giordano's Excavation (owned by Frank), and it was easily the best experience I've ever had. Frank came out to do some excavating so I could install a shed. Partway through, we encountered a hidden tree stump buried deep underground. Removing stumps wasn't part of our agreement, but without hesitation, he used his equipment to remove it anyway. That kind of extra effort really made a difference. Additionally, a few other small jobs arose, and even though he was booked, Frank managed to accommodate them for me. He's honest, very friendly, and his prices are more than fair. Frank and his team were hired to dredge our pond, clean the cattails around it and repair the leak in the pond. Initially, I was happy with the work. The cattails were cleaned out, and the pond seemed to be holding water. However after a few weeks, the pond started losing water. Frank, who was very responsive and friendly prior to getting paid ($8,500 for the job), was very difficult to get hold of, and would not stand behind his work. I would not use his services nor recommend him to anyone. I now have to find a different excavator to repair the pond, and spend more money than I budgeted for.
