One item to note though is if you are walking on foot from the heart of Etna, there are steps and not just a small amount, it's a lot (think of a huge hike) so just be mindful of that. My husband and I work out a lot and it was not an easy task for either of us. When we arrived, we made it a few minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated for dinner on the patio, and the views throughout the entire meal were absolutely amazing! The restaurant servers were all so friendly and welcoming and answered any questions we had. We ordered a bottle of wine from the Mount Etna area to start as we wanted to try a wine from the area. They had wine pricing of all options and varieties. For starters, we ordered the wild boar pasta (22 Euros) and the Taglioni with pistachio cream (22 Euros). All of the pasta was OMG so fresh and homemade, it was all outstanding! We also ordered the Sea bass filet (28 Euros) and it was also fresh from the area as well and also truly outstanding. For dessert, we ordered the deconstructed cannoli (10 Euros) and the presentation and quality was also outstanding and very fresh. The entire meal and service were outstanding and very memorable. The owner closed out our check at the end and thanked us for our visit, and it was truly an amazing and friendly family establishment. Definitely try to stop by for a meal if you're in the Taormina area!

The staff and the Italian hospitality delivers throughout our stay. The planning / correspondence with the concierge was great. I have all the meals and activities planned out about 2 weeks ahead of my stay. Recommend to also arrange your pick up from the airport (we regrettably did not - and the taxi ride was 180 Euro, more than a Four Seasons pick up in a Mercedes. We have the sea-view premium room with a terrace, which costs a fortune but the view is just the killer. The terrace is good size so it is very practical / functional to sit on the balcony, have a drink and soak in that panoramic view of the sea. We opt to venture out to a private tour organized by the hotel: horse back riding on Mount Edna, follow by a lunch and wine tasting at the winery in the area. The logistic was flawless, driver super professional, the view of Mount Edna on the horse back was fantastic, what a great combo of activities. Pool staff at the hotel is top notch, the call button on each table is the modern world way to receive the world class service of the Four Seasons. The current decor in the pool area are all Dolce & Gabbana Casa, very over the top! Even the Granita cart is Dolce & Gabbana, oh yes it is! We had lunch at the restaurant closer to the pool (Anciovi), serving seasonal Sicilian seafood dishes, fresh seafood pastas, seafood salads and fish. Book in advance for to sit next to the beautiful view. The hotel is timeless, the only complain (is any) is there is no adult only pool, so if you are allergic to screaming kids like myself.... But the timeless decor and world class service more than compensate for that.

But for my family and me, the Four Seasons isn't just a beautiful hotel--it's the place that turned a ruined day into one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. What was supposed to be a special birthday celebration for my dad was nearly ruined by another hotel's complete lack of professionalism. Thankfully, the Four Seasons stepped in and completely turned the day around. From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The staff welcomed us with smiles, and within minutes they had learned about the birthday situation and sprang into action to make things right. The attention to detail was astounding--everything from the way they expedited our check-in to the complimentary treats and personalized note they left in our room for my dad was handled with so much care. It was clear they genuinely wanted to give us the experience we were hoping for. Our room offered breathtaking views that felt like something out of a movie. Whether it was the sunrise over the city skyline or the way the lights sparkled at night, every glance out the window reminded us how special this stay was. The rooms themselves were spotless and luxuriously comfortable, with high-end finishes and thoughtful touches that made us feel pampered from the inside out. What truly stood out was how the staff went above and beyond. They arranged a last-minute dinner reservation at one of the hotel's incredible restaurants and even surprised my dad with a small birthday cake at the end of the meal. It wasn't just the food (which was incredible) or the ambiance (which was stunning), but the feeling that the team truly cared. That kind of service is rare--and unforgettable. Thanks to the Four Seasons, what could have been a huge disappointment turned into a magical celebration. They didn't just give us a room--they gave us a memory we'll cherish forever. I can't thank them enough for saving my dad's birthday and turning it into something even better than we had originally planned. Without a doubt, the Four Seasons Hotel is more than just a place to stay--it's an experience. One filled with beauty, kindness, and excellence in every detail. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you're celebrating something important. Trust me--it's worth every moment.

But if you need lunch before or after the mosaics, avoid the tourist traps in Casale and come here instead. I was greeted in a most welcoming manner, and ushered to a comfortable interior table. Being a Brit, I wanted to sit outside (I would have been the only one), but this was no problem and Antonio swiftly laid up a table for me. There is a pleasant view of the Garibaldi Theatre from the front terrace of the restaurant. I was pining for a good tomato salad, and boy did they deliver! So good that I snapped it and the result is in the pics attached. But this was not before I had taken their mixed antipasti - always a good way to judge the mettle of an Italian restaurant; my policy is to order the antipasti misti only to start, and if they are good, I will place an order for mains; if bad, I cash up and go. In this case, I was brought a sumptuous plate of local produce - green and black marinated olives, salami and salsicce, artichoke hearts marinated in lemon and oil, raw mushrooms, roast peppers and courgettes, melanzane grigliate con mozzarella. By the time I'd finished, I could barely manage a small portion of pappardelle with rabbit sauce. Indoors, chef was keen to know how was the food, and Antonio wanted me to see the reproduction mosaics that adorned the ceiling of the restaurant. The toilets were faultless. And the bill? £15 including a half carafe of red and a small bottle of water. Magnifico!
