Stayed at Marriott down the street and came here to get the wiggles out. Lovely little park with lots of amenities. I saw baseball and soccer practices, pick up games on the courts, dog walkers, stroller moms, all the usual community park participants. The playground is small and aimed at toddlers but kids will play anywhere there's a slide or stuff to climb on. The grounds were clean and well manicured. One star off for broken bathroom stalls. Also the flowering bushes planted outside the bathrooms attracted tons of bees, which is great! Unless you put them right next to the playground. Terrible horticulture planning IMO. read more

Girsh Park is a major reason why I love this neighborhood! Our whole family enjoys walking through this park every couple of days. The park is beautifully maintained - clean, with nice short grass, decent bathrooms, and good resting and picnicking spots. It's so convenient for a pleasant walk to and from the Camino Real Marketplace - no need to go along busy streets. This is a great park for dogs - lots of space to walk on-leash, hang out on a blanket, or play off-leash fetch. My pup and I also appreciate that they provide dog bags and have plenty of trash cans along the walkway. The park seems very safe. For a year I came here at night with one or two other women, to work out on the basketball court, and we never ran into any trouble. There are also some fun events here - local craft fairs from time to time, and of course the Lemon Fest. Enjoy! read more

What a great park in Goleta! I take my hat off when I see quality in our parks. Full-size acrylic basketball courts. Multiple fields for soccer: grass and turf. A good amount of parking spaces. Lots of space to move around. Location is so convenient too. Right off of Storke and right behind Costco with the plethora of shops and eats. Very nice job by the city and county. read more

Very nice well kept park. The only thing I find is that there is only two handicap parking spaces all at one end.

This is a big park that is easily accessible from the neighborhoods surrounding it. It is kept up in fairly good condition, and the bathrooms are in more than passable condition. It tends to be fairly crowded, but it's never overly so. There is unfortunately a lot of grass, but I suppose that is to be expected for any semiurban park. Honestly, this review centers on the fact that there is a lot to do here for Pokemon Go players. There are a six gyms in total, all of which are accessible by car (important for playing during the pandemic without leaving your car). There is a robust raid hour group that comes here, so you'll almost always find a crowd to play with. In addition, there are several players in the surrounding neighborhoods who can hit the gyms easily. read more

A little something for everyone here. I have been a fan of this park ever since it was erected. I was in grade school and it offered my peers and me a good space for outdoor activities when our town had few spots to congregate. I'd consider Girsh Park one of Goleta's main hubs. You can find the annual 4th of July show and the California Lemon Festival here. The green belt area is huge and expands into several sports courts: baseball, basketball, soccer, a snack bar, a bioswale (natural landscape area), along with clean restrooms and a few small parking lots. This park is also landscaped nicely and offers lush, well-maintained greenery. It's a nice and safe park to explore and admire. Definitely worth a visit. read more

What I like about Girsh Park: the basketball courts, green grass, fairly clean public restrooms, and family-friendly atmosphere. Children are always playing here with watchful parents and the safe environment is the best thing about this park to me. My boyfriend likes to play pick up basketball here and I like to do some high intensity sprints because there is plenty of grass and space to do so. Girsh is directly across from Camino Real shopping center and is one of my favorite things in Goleta. read more

I love Girsh Park. The basketball courts are very good and there are no issues with nets missing or awkward rims. There's also usually people to start pick-up games with so that is nice as well. Weekends are jam packed with soccer so be sure to park on the arête somewhere. Tip: don't expect to shoot threes, it's windy...drive to the hole read more

I needed a place to stop and let my 2 yr old stretch her legs on the way to LA. I found this park tucked a few minutes off the 101 and it was super easy to get to. The park was clean had a good playground, wide open spaces and a fairly clean bathroom. A good place to visit if you need a place to run off some energy for your kiddos. read more

This is a huge park and great for field sports. On a Saturday there were many birthday parties and a soccer tournament going on. There is only a small playground with wood chips, but at least it is near the bathroom. There is a parking lot but I noticed many people also park across the street in the Costco parking lot. With the many restaurants across the street it's easy to get a bite to eat after a day at the park. read more

Really peaceful and nice park. Moms bring their kids here during the day. There are two basketball courts.. they were being used by some grammar school when I visited.. I think they were playing dodge ball. There are baseball fields too which is cool. Then there is that new Ice Rink not too far off. Nice park ! read more

girsh park is nice and well kept but there can be alot of people on the weekends and if you are looking for pick up games or to have your own basketball game be sure to get their early or you'll be having trouble getting a chance to play. Also the goleta 4th of july fest is always nice. I just went their for the recent lemon festival which was smaller than usual but is good for kids. read more

This park is great for the grass, the basketball courts, the baseball fields and the soccer fields. Additionally I really like this park because it hosts a lot of great events - I saw the fire works on 4th of July here (put on by the rotary club of Santa Barbara) were fantastic and in September each year the park hosts a lemon festival in celebration of Goleta's history as a stronghold in the industry. read more

This park has it all, baseball, soccer, basketball and jungle gym for the little ones. It's centrally located near Costco, the marketplace, the ice rink, and Isla vista. Park also features two small parking lots. During the Weekends the park hosts several little league soccer and baseball games throughout the year. Also on occasion you may get to witness a dog show practice area. This park is well maintained with several picnic areas stay can be reserved. I take my children there several times a week and it is never a let down. read more

I love that there is a fenced in off-leash area for dogs. I've never had any negative run ins with "naughty dogs" or inattentive owners. There are bathrooms, lots of parking, bleachers if you just wanna chill, basketball courts, and it's near Costco if your craving a polish dog and soda. read more
