I did not realize her whining was pain until she jumped up front and I saw blood and she she started getting sick. Groomer said they would never have sent her home like that. Well they temporarily stopped the bleeding but it didn't last. When I got home had to call vet to find out how to stop bleeding. Blondie's said bring her back. NO, I will take her to vet if it doesn't stop. She has laid on my lap and cried now all that afternoon and next day. Today I got a better look and two of her nails are an 8th of an inch long. Look at a measuring tape and tell me that is okay! It's not. She will not be returning. Report card said she was great and did everything asked of her. In 11 1/2 years I have never had this happen.

We had been trying to adopt a dog in Seattle for months with no luck, so we decided to make the trip to Hoquiam. I am so glad we did. Nanette is incredibly kind, genuine, and knowledgeable. The patience she showed us went far beyond what we expected. She spent the entire time with us answering questions, sharing training advice, and helping us get to know the dogs. We originally came to meet one dog, but ended up meeting five, and I am really glad we did. What we expected to be a quick 10-15 minute meet and greet turned into more than an hour. We were able to play with several dogs, talk with multiple staff members and volunteers, and really learn about the personalities of the dogs we were meeting! One thing that really stood out was how much everyone at North Beach Paws clearly cares about the animals. While the facility is not a large brand new building with fancy equipment, it was clean, well maintained and the animals are very loved! Also, for my fellow thrifters, they have a huge Saturday garage sale / thrift market that helps support the rescue. There were great prices and a lot of really cool finds. If you're in the Pacific Northwest and looking to adopt a dog or cat, I highly recommend checking out North Beach Paws!

When they left a voicemail that he was ready for pick up, the lady finished the call with "what the fuck was that..." CLICK! I walked out of the "shop" with a blue plastic bag as if I had picked my dog up a bone or toy from the pet shop. The sincerity should be no different if you're picking up your family member vs. a precious family member (animal). I will never deal with Petland in the future and will be making a formal complaint with the owner!

There has been no permanent veterinarian for about one year and they rely on visiting vets from 2 hours away. The last time I took my little dogs in for their wellness visits, one of the techs dragged my little guy by the leash across the waiting room floor to get on the weight scale. She could have easily picked him up and placed him on the scale. More recently, the visiting vet said my little guys needed dental cleaning - I received an estimate of $3,000 - $4,000 each. That included 3 - 4 hours under anesthesia - for a dental cleaning!! It the past the dental work took 30 - 60 minutes and cost +/- $1,000. Then when I needed a prescription refill, they charged me 4 times the price that I could have spent on chewy. I understand a premium for the local service, but 4x is outrageous. Hold onto your wallet if you dare to go there.
