Called to get a Doctor and was asked if I had a doctor then basically told that If I was not from out of state I can't get a doctor there. Is this still America? What makes people coming in from other states better than me? Just wondering?????? read more

What's the point in having a primary care physician if you never see them? I think this is probably my biggest gripe with Given. I've been going there for a number of years now and I think I have only seen my doctor twice. Is he even still there? Given Health Care is associated with Fletcher Allen Hospital so you definitely get that "too big for their britches" feel. There isn't a lot comfortable about the office - it's pretty standard but I'm usually there to seek medical advice, not evaluate the aesthetics of their reception area. That said, I have been quite pleased with the care I have received from Darla Witmer, RN. She is quite knowledgeable and respectful of whatever it is you might be dealing with. The location works well for me and, as mentioned, Darla is great, so for now, I will remain a patient of Given. read more
