My search for a house started with a teal door. I began my house hunt without a realtor and happened to stumble upon a house with a teal door. Around March 10th I talked to Mary Mendoza with Giving Tree Realty, and she gave me the push I needed in order to start this process. From the very beginning she was professional, transparent, respectful, and friendly. We visited several places during the beginning of the pandemic, and she always showed up with hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, gloves, and wouldn't even let me even touch a door handle if I was not wearing a glove. She was always available at any time, last minute viewing? She took care of it. Late night viewing? She made it fit her schedule, nothing was an inconvenience or too troublesome for her. Every piece of document I had to sign was transparent, and even prior to signing she made sure I understood what I was signing. My process started around March 10th when I first talked to Mary, and on April 28th I was closing on my house. We were very fortunate to find an agent as qualified as Robin Perron. Moving 1800 miles from Colorado to North Carolina was very stressful. We teamed up with Robin in Oct. 2019. Our agent was Hunter Wilson. We were purchasing our property on Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC remotely from our location up north therefore communication with Hunter was key. Hunter was extremely accommodating and even visited the property on our behalf to provide a live FT review of the condominium along with my daughter who lives in the area. This was early in the COVID crisis which made this communication paramount. Hunter through GTR provided all documentation for the offer and closing on line except for the brief closing meeting with the sellers.
