Please read these reviews carefully before bringing your camera here for repair. You'll notice a…read moresurprising number of people who've had similar experiences: they bring their cameras in, weeks and months go by without any progress or communication, and in the end, their cameras are picked up without ever having been repaired. It's an infuriating experience. You should carefully consider if you want the same experience, because it will happen again, possibly to you, as it has to me. Although, my experience has been even worse. I dropped my camera off near the end of 2023. It worked fine, but the touch-sensitive articulating screen no longer responded to touch. Months went by without progress. Phone calls and emails went unanswered. Finally, by the end of the winter (2024), I was told that my camera had been misplaced but it was found and going to be repaired. Two weeks later I picked it up, and paid in full for the repair. A few days later I went to use the camera and discovered that not only was the articulating screen not repaired, the image on the screen was inverted, making the camera entirely unusable. I called and was told to drop it off at the drop off location in New Hope, which I did near the end of April, 2024. Near the end of June 2024, I started calling for a progress update. Even though I called during business hours and left my phone number, my calls were never answered or returned. That brings us to the middle of September, 2024. I still do not have my camera. Remember, I paid in full for the repair. I'm at a loss. My only choice is to drive all the way to Lindstrom, just to find out what has happened to my camera. It's been nearly a year... They have my money AND my camera and will not call me back. Do you really want to take the chance that this won't happen to you? Read the reviews that are like mine and you'll see my experience is not unusual. My next step is to report the camera as stolen and see if the Lindstrom Police can't get an answer for me. I urge you to avoid this place at all costs. I so regret doing business here.

In fact, this review is of Troumbly and Home Advisors....CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! Troumbly Contracting LLC has a "license #" listed on the Home Advisor's website. Red Flag #1: Troumbly was late for our scheduled appointment- which he blamed on Home Advisor's not relaying the message to him. Home Advisor's stated that Troumbly was the one who set the time/date. Red Flag #2: I asked Troumbly if he had a MN Contractor's License, what is contractor's 's LICENSE number was to verify it online with the MN Dept. of Commerce, and if he had liability insurance. Troumbly stated "Yes I have a MN License. I can't remember the number. And yes I have liability insurance. I just gave the information to Home Advisor's." LIES! Red Flag #3: I called the MN State Licensing Department to make sure I was looking up the name of this business correctly. Yes- I was. Troumbly is not LICENSED. He is REGISTERED. His COMPANY is not REGISTERED. He is REGISTERED as an individual. The MN Licensing department stated he has his paperwork done incorrectly and needs to register as an LLC to do business as he is doing. Furthermore, she stated that a contractor needs to be LICENSED if they are providing contracting services in more than one construction area- which she noted by reviews on Home Advisors' website that he was!! RED Flag #4: Troumbly NEVER did email, text, or call with any quote or information after he left my house. My theory -- he knows he is falsely advertising his services and had nothing but more lies to tell. Red Flag #5: A gentleman called about a week later stating he was from Home Advisors' and asking me how my meeting with Troumbly went. I told him everything outlined above. Guess what? He hung up. I called the number back and it was a regular voicemail - stating an individual's name not Home Advisors'. Home Advisors' has no one working for them by that name. In the interest of allowing that person to change his ways-- I suggest you not do favors for your friend and check up on his potential customers to see if they believed his bed of lies. Yep- you guessed it. Reverse phone number look up with WhitePages.com BOTTOM LINE: I have no idea what these individuals are attempting to hide but I smart consumer with a phone and the internet can deduct that this company is has many red flags... hire at your own risk.

If things are fine, he will tell you that, too. He used to be an engineer so he knows what he's talking about. We've used him twice now. The first time, he saved us from buying a house that was leaking water into the basement from the steps due to improper grading and cracks. No house is perfect, but you should know what you're getting into before you buy your house. His inspection report includes pictures so the owner of the house can't deny problems. If you're new to home buying, I strongly recommend going to David Sroga or someplace that is NOT recommended by your realtor.
