I have to admit I've never been eager to go to the dental office even if it's just for a cleaning. It was time to see them especially since I had some mild nerve pain in one of my lower teeth and the fact that I haven't been to the dentist's office since 2003 (However, I brush my teeth on a regular basis and I don't smoke so that can be a good excuse for being away for so long). This office is located in a small two-story office building next to Major Marine Tours and across the street from the Carrs shopping center. I came in to the reception area and Michelle gave me a friendly greeting upon entering. I had to take a few minutes to fill out the new client paperwork before starting my dental check-up. The seating area is small and cozy with a TV set along with several magazines and children's books to pass the time while waiting. If you have insurance like Denali Care, they gladly accept this. My card covered the entire cost of the visit which was $231.00. Another good reason to make your dental appointments here. Drs. Andrew Newman and Jennifer Driggs were very friendly and professional upon meeting them for the first time. They addressed all of my concerns regarding questions on my nerve pain and tooth conditions. Dr. Driggs did an outstanding job with the dental cleaning and now I can show off my goofy grin wherever I go. Nichole at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful in setting up my next appointment. Great location in a decent part of town, friendly staff, and definitely recommend to fellow Yelpers for exceptional work. Oh, and don't forget to take advantage of the free gift card!

She was taken from the lobby and then waited by herself in a room for 45 minutes before being seen by anyone. The extra procedure they did on her was $1,000 extra and they had no problem billing that amount. The extra procedure took 3 days to recover from and I would not have said yes to it. I called several times to speak with a manager and despite leaving messages with people and on voicemail, the manager never responded. I just got calls from the front desk asking to be paid. When I told them that I was changing dentists and wanted to leave with no bills they said I was squared up -owed nothing. Months later they called me about a payment that they found I owed. I could go on and on, but not worth any more of my time. This place is overpriced and unprofessional.

This woman should be held accountable and/or fired. The appt was around 11 on November 3rd. I'm guessing she has had other complaints. And you've just lost a client who also owns her own business and has sent people to this dental office as well.

Everyone I encounter at MFD is respectful, intelligent, kind and professional. The front desk staff is very welcoming and helpful. I have seen a number of hygienists as I just take next available; every single one of them is great. All three of the doctors are excellent at what they do. They are good at explaining the process and options, helping to guide decision-making and the technical work itself. They also do a nice job of threading the needle when it comes to over and under treatment; I trust their advice when they say we can wait and monitor or it's time to deal with a problem. The day of my appointment I got called twice within two minutes of each other. Second thing is I Went in for a teeth cleaning and got told I needed different fillings cuz apparently my fillings were too big for my teeth (never an issue before) and got told I needed crowns and a root canal. After they did my X-rays the doctor looked at my teeth they told me that I needed the deep clean cuz of the way my teeth were and my gums were not healthy. Once again this has never been an issue before. The initial process they wanted to do was 5,000 that I would have to pay out of pocket. I said I didn't want to do that cuz I don't have that money to spend on dental work that doesn't need to be done. Then with the deep cleaning it was 335 that would be paid out of pocket. When I told them I wanted a basic cleaning I got told no and they refused to do it cuz it wouldn't help my teeth and gums get better. After awhile I said I would do one section of my mouth and be done. They had two different people come talk to to convince me I needed the deep clean and even the dentist lady tried to say the same thing. He then proceeded to try to force them into her mouth and grind away at the denture and the molars on them with a Dremel tool trying to make them fit. They still didn't come close to fit, and because of the Dr. shoving them into her mouth she developed a growth that she had to get surgery to remove. He was then supposed to refund the entire amount of the dentures so she could go get them done somewhere else. It has been 3.5 years and he has not refunded the full cost. My wife has no dentures and now needs another surgery because of his negligence and wrongdoing. Do not go to him for anything. He will do you more harm than good. Because he never refunded the money, insurance will not help her get new ones. At the end of five years she is eligible for new ones and we are pretty sure he is trying to get away with this and keep the money.
