He was VERY knowledgeable, definitely the most knowledgeable stylist I've ever been to, and did a great job explaining how we were going to get my hair where I wanted it to be. We made an appointment for two for a manicure + pedicure. We had an appointment at 12:30pm, one of us was seated at 12:50. It's now 1:30pm and the lady just started painting her toes.... 2:00pm... she starts working on my pedicure. My sister has not done her manicure and neither have I. She filled the bucket thing with a little water and then started cleaning the lint off herself and then told me she had to use the restroom and came back smelling like cigarettes. I comment that it's taking so long and she starts saying I must go to the "other" places and that asians focus on quantity not quality... 3:10pm... my manicure is done. It started off with my nails being painted a wrong color so I had to correct her. Now at 3:10pm she starting on the my sisters. She starts asking her is she is sick and that her nails look like she has had a fever. Around 3:50pm we finally leave. I will never come back. The only plus is the decor is nice and the owner seems pleasant but customer service from staff needs improvement. What a way to spend my birthday. ****UPDATE: Erika the owner reached out to me privately and she is such a nice and caring individual. She values her salon and her customers. I thought at first he just applied a single hair color but he also added a product that helps clean my hair from impurities prior to applying the hair. Apart from that misunderstanding, I'm very satisfied with my hair color. He also added a complimentary conditioner treatment. It is very natural and the more I wash my hair, it will get lighter on the end creating a honey effect, which against the dark just makes it very natural. I liked his personality, and I liked that he listened to me I do believe it was great quality for the price. I will definitely come back to him in the near future and I definitely recommend him to anyone who's looking at going darker or going lighter. He has healthy products, he does not damage the hair, and he takes his time. I was the only client apart from two staff workers.
