After nearly a year and a half of waiting for Utah Window Experts to resolve some of the…read moreoutstanding issues and damage caused by their installers to our window products, we are finally settling with these people after they threatened to sue to collect the small remaining balance we had witheld to try to get them to stand by their installation. What a joke. We finally contacted Milgard directly to correct a slider that had a 3/8" gap due to wrong window size that allowed winter air to blow directly into our living room, and were told by the Milgard reps that the installers for Utah Window Experts had also not leveled or shimmed the sliders correctly, accounting for some of the issues we were seeing. This was not a small job, it was nearly a $60K order for a new custom build, and Utah Window Experts even acknowledged most of the screw-ups they caused, including delaying our construction completion by months by failing to order all the windows specified to complete the job. Despite this, they never took any ownership of fixing the issues or damages caused by one of the three crews sent to install the windows. I previously gave them 2 stars based on the last crew sent out to complete the installation doing decent work, but now am dropping to a single star based on their extremely poor customer service and lack of follow through. Have had mostly good experiences with the subs for this project, however Utah Window Experts was not one of them. No one has perfect reviews, but would recommend using almost anyone else for a window installation. Milgard does make a good product, and our experience with the producthas generally been great, however could never recommend this distributor/installer. If you want Milgard, find someone else to install.

We signed on a contract on July 2nd. I was told we'd be called for setting a measurement appointment within two days. We were not called. I contacted them. I had communicated an eagerness to get the windows in due to my daughter's current window causing her to be uncomfortably hot. As such they assured me we have them most likely closer to 4 weeks. I checked in multiple times to see if the windows were ready or if the manufacturer had given a ETA. All but one of the 9 windows (plus a sliding door) were finally installed August 20th while the most important window--for my daughter's room--was not even ordered from the manufacturer! They said they would rush order the window and it'd be ready in 1 week. It's now been 11 days and still the window is not ready and they haven't said when it will be ready. In addition, I was assured they have the best installers. Unfortunately those installers didn't lay down any protective measures or clean up after themselves so our carpet, beds and furniture we're covered in dust and small metal shavings. Also they left a big gash next to a window which they said they'd fix but not until we pointed it out (see photo). Still not fixed as of 9/7/2018. Not satisfied with their service. Will update if anything changes. Cascade Windows seem good though.

They make their own windows here in Utah with "fresh" vinyl (not from recycled Clorox bottles) and the installer is an employees of Mountain States (this really matters if you have any problems; I had no problems with them). The bad: In my opinion, our salesman, Gabe, used deceitful sales tactics by making vague and even false statements. Notably, for our largest window, he ordered a double pane window instead of triple pane like the rest of the house. He claimed it was still top of the line despite actually being closer to bottom of the line. This window did not even qualify for Dominion Energy's efficiency rebate. As far as I can tell the Lennox windows they sell are just Alside Mezzo windows which you can get from a distributor and have anyone install. The only benefit I see Synergy providing is connecting buyers, distributors and installers.
