What stood out most was how organized and straightforward the experience felt. Communication was clear, information was provided openly, and there was never a moment where we felt rushed or uneasy. It was obvious we were dealing with a company that knows its business and takes customer trust seriously. If you're someone who values professionalism, clarity, and a company that shows up prepared and respectful, Vantage Windows delivers exactly that. We appreciated the experience and would absolutely feel comfortable moving forward with them.

I see why you have a strange name, adding 'The' to your name, which adding 'the' does not come up as a licensed business. When I searched this site without 'the' (see pic) its expired. So, you can see I did my research. Let's add when I googled the website on the card, it showed a company out of state. However, I see it today at the very end. Funny. Quick move on your part to add it. In any event, your sales person showed me a flash of a license, but I leaned in and saw it was for another company. Looked like you were hiding something which in turn leads me to believe you're a liar and don't have your business sh!t together, so I will not do business with you or any company remotely related to you. These are my feelings and opinions. First Review: A solicitor for 'Vantage Windows' discussed getting a quote for me. But when she left I checked their license as of 12-16-2025 their license has expired and are not allowed to contract for business. Additionally, I found out there is no company open in California. Hmm.

While I think they did a good job and I like their products, they were super expensive and I still had 14 more windows that needed to be replaced. In May of this year I started to seriously consider getting the rest replaced. Enter Alpine Exteriors. They provided the third bid and landed in the middle price wise. They were considerably less expensive than Champion (no surprise) and slightly more expensive than a no name company that came out selling cheap quality windows. But Alpine Exteriors quality, service, and selection really stood out. I met with the owner, Hiram Molloy, at my home and there was zero sales pressure and no games. He has access to a number of different windows at all different price points, so he was able to find something in my budget and a quality I was happy with. They were installed a couple weeks ago and that was the real test. I'm pretty OCD and I want perfection. I'm never fully satisfied because that would be impossible, but the installers did a nice job. They were friendly and detail oriented. I asked a lot of questions and spent a fair amount of time watching the install and they were courteous and obviously knew what they were doing. They also cleaned up the mess and used preventative measures around my furniture to keep the mess at a minimum. Upon final cleanup they collected all the stickers from the windows and placed them on copy paper so I could apply for the rebate. Hiram followed through on his promise and mailed me all the rebate paperwork with instructions. If you are looking for a quality window company that offers a competitive price and does what they say they are going to do, look no further than Alpine Exteriors.

I think I did it out of guilt, but the next day felt terrible. Fortunately, I was able to void the contract and do a search for a better window company. I found it. Alpine Exteriors was by far the best choice. From start to finish, the process was simple, and we have nine great new windows! When we can afford to do the rest, we will definitely go with Hiram Molloy and Alpine Exteriors again.

If I could throw another star their way, I would. But Yelp limits me to five. There's something magical about sitting by an open window, feeling the gentle breeze. I have not been able to experience that in the past few years, as the windows in my house have been broken and unable to open. So I finally bit the bullet and reached out to HomeStar Windows and Doors to get a bid to replace them. Dave came out to measure and gave me a bid promptly. He did not put on the pressure, but gave me options-"good, better, best" and thoroughly explained the difference. We decided to go through with the replacement and got on the schedule. We also decided to replace the blinds with shutters and asked to coordinate the installation to happen around the same time. Well, the windows were ready to be installed sooner than we anticipated, and Dave offered to cover the cost of having the old blinds taken down and reinstalled so we could go ahead with the window installation before the shutters. It also landed on a day that we would be out of town, so they offered to text me when they arrived and then again when they left for the day. It was nice to get those updates so I was aware of when people would be in my house. When we returned home, the new windows were in and all the old ones were taken away. It made my life easy! All I needed to do was put furniture back that I had moved for them. There were also some holes in walls that I'll need to patch that looked like had been made when the windows were removed. And now, I sit by an open window (that I was able to open with one finger rather than the gargantuan effort it used to take) and enjoy the nice breeze. I shouldn't have waited so long.

Well, I'm not used to door to door salesmen, so I'm naive to their gimmicks. Here's what I've…read moregathered. First, the salespeople I spoke with were all very nice. Essentially, they said they were coming to the neighborhood to offer a special deal for just a couple of houses, to update their windows as "model homes" where they give you a bangin' deal in exchange for some advertising (have a sign in the yard for 60 days, write a positive review, allow before/after photos, and share the amount of energy savings after a year of having the new windows). They would cover labor costs, installation, and discount the windows themselves 30%. The first guy took down my number because I said I wanted my husband home before they started taking measurements to give me a quote, and he called later saying the two slots had been filled. The next day or a couple of days later, another guy came to the door saying behold! We opened another spot! So we made an evening appt for another sales person to come and do the measurements. She came, explained their windows, the deal, the lifetime warranty, etc and I have to say, she was very kind and accommodating when it came to our 1.5 year old son and newborn who were vying for attention. But she opened with "I'll need a hard yes or a hard no by the end of this conversation, and my husband hates pressure tactics, so he was already skeptical. Long story short, their "super discounted price" was $45,000. Full price was nearly $92k. I don't think windows should be ~20% the value of our house, sorry. Anyway - we ended up giving a hard no, and I read online that this company gives the same spiel to everyone. There is no model home. I'm guessing their five star reviews are part of the "discounted" exchange. I'm glad my husband is not as easily duped as I! When the time comes for new windows, we will look elsewhere.

Frustrating experience with incomplete repairs, poor communication, licensing issues, and…read moreundisclosed installation methods. I hired Performance Windows for a full window replacement at my home in Reno. They offered free labor because the home was supposed to be used as a display/advertising house. We financed the project through a third-party lender. From the beginning, there were problems: * The itemized invoice lacked a clear breakdown of materials versus labor. * When I requested the contractor's license, they gave me a Nevada license number belonging to a different company (Sky View Windows and Doors) that was suspended at the time for a DIR violation. They also provided an expired Utah license for the lead installer. After repeated requests and verification through the Nevada State Contractors Board, the Sky View license was eventually reinstated, but the lack of transparency was concerning. * Performance Windows operates mainly as a sales company and uses Sky View as the installation crew. This was not clearly explained upfront. * They did not disclose that they would overlay the new windows onto the old existing surrounding wood frames. When the old windows were removed, this loosened those wooden frames from the wall and created gaps. Those gaps later caused leaks. After installation, multiple repairs were needed: * A sliding door screen needed replacement (this was eventually completed). * A dining room window started leaking after heavy rain. The crew sealed the original wood panel that had been ripped out during the initial install. The sealant had to dry before testing, so I still don't know if the leak is truly fixed. * Bathroom and laundry room windows were supposed to get proper frame replacements. Instead, the installer only cut plastic pieces, which exposed holes. The smaller bathroom windows still do not open fully -- they claim this is "part of their design." * There was also a gap in the flooring caused by the smaller slider door installation. Beyond the repairs, the overall performance of the new windows has been disappointing: * Even though the windows may look better, our house is noticeably hotter than it was with the old windows. * We are now getting bugs coming into the house. Communication and scheduling were consistently poor: * Appointments were missed or delayed. * On one visit, the installer arrived late, a different crew showed up first with no knowledge of the other repairs, and the main installer forgot several items and had to leave mid-visit to buy supplies at Home Depot. * The crew often seemed rushed to finish and leave. While the sliding door screen was eventually replaced, the overall handling of the project has been disappointing. Multiple issues remain unresolved or only partially addressed. The combination of incomplete work, undisclosed installation methods, performance problems, and lack of professionalism made this a stressful experience. I would not recommend Performance Windows. If you're considering them, verify their contractor licensing status independently through the Nevada State Contractors Board, ask detailed questions about their installation method (especially whether they overlay onto existing frames), and get everything in writing before signing.
