I went through Glasgow Airport three times during my two-week long trip to Europe - the first after landing from London Heathrow, the second after landing from the island of Islay, and the third on my way to Amsterdam. Going through Glasgow Airport was super easy! I mean, the check-in lines for both Loganair and KLM were long, but they were moving very quickly. After checking in your bags, take the escalator upstairs, where you're greeted with security gates (scan your boarding pass for access) that take you to the security checkpoint to the left. What I noticed going to the security checkpoint both times on my way to Islay and Amsterdam was that so many people left behind their water bottles on a giant table rather than throwing them in the designated cans next to it, which was quite a mess. On our way to Amsterdam, we had access to The Lomand Lounge away from the rest of the crowd, which had a perfect view of the tarmac and the runway. The lounge also had some excellent coffee and breakfast items available, too! You also have your own little stall in the restroom with your own sink and hand dryer, which is very convenient. I think we spent about an hour in the lounge before it was time to board our flight to Amsterdam. It was a long walk to get to our assigned gate from there, though. Great airport to fly in and out of. Highly recommend for all travelers.

Great Airport! With only one terminal, I found it very easy to make my way around GLA. The amount of passengers at the airport was low on both of my visits, this made it easy to navigate through security and head straight over to my gate. As for the airport staff, I really didn't find some of them helpful or friendly. While waiting for my flight at the gate, I heard another passenger mention that our flight was delayed. Naturally, I went to the counter to confirm with the attendant and she snapped and told me to take a seat. I didn't even get a chance to open my mouth before she snapped at me. I really felt like a child being scolded by their parent, it was embarrassing as well. They really did a poor job keeping us informed on the delay. In the end, the delay only ended up being 35 minutes. Boarding at the gate was an experience. I waited for my group to be called, then I was told to jump on a bus that packed us all in like sardines. We were all standing and the bus was moving so fast that I lost my balance and almost fell on this little girl. Luckily, this nice man caught me just in time. Whew... what a way to get anyone ready for their flight. After the roller-coaster bus ride, the driver dropped us all off at the foot of the plane, then we were guided to climb the stairs to enter the plane. The reclaim carousel was very easy to find and my bags arrived quickly on arrival. Staff and the crazy bus ride aside, I really think this is a great airport. It's very clean, bright, comfortable, signage is good, toilets are clean and there are shops near if you want to grab a snack. If you're renting a car, you'll have a short walk to get to the rental car collection. Recommended.

The airport itself is not over the top spectacular but there was a gate agent named Elizabeth Crowley that made the experience amazing! Elizabeth made sure to work the self check line to expedite the experience and make sure we all knew where we needed to be. Since there was alot of baggage but the belts stoped working she made sure to still do her best to assist. She was all around amazing and I truly appreciated all her help! The airport itself has only one terminal, but lots of places to dine and check out. There were American places such as Burger King to places such as F&B which I have never had. Security also was pretty pleasant. They had the line continued on with 4 sections and even when you went through they were friendly. One of my carry on bags were selected to be checked and they were nice as well. They had to review the section were my laptop was as it's a added section on my bag and they had to make sure there wasn't anything hidden in there. After that I was good to go and they sent me off with a smile. So very pleasant! All in all I am so happy to have experience this airport!

I like this airport. I wish they didn't limit the time on the wifi, but aside from that, it's good. It's clean- and I was there for a long time and got to watch people cleaning it. Lots of people doing a great job. The bathrooms are decent, and there are choices for shopping and eating. I shopped at the small Tesco, and at and drank at Starbucks. Was quite pleased with both. Gates were easy to find, and the people at the airport were very kind and helpful.

Small airport, easy access, quick to the gates, free wifi. Heathrow this isn't. It's not *tiny*, but it isn't all that big either. Around 15 minutes to Glasgow proper, you can cab/uber it, or take the Glasgow Express (a bus every 15 minutes or so) that gets you in right quick. The small size also has an advantage when it comes to getting to the gates - you do't have to spend all that much time waiting around at the airport. If you've got some form of FastTrack access, it's usually less than 20 minutes from the front to the gates... Theres the usual assortment of restaurants/food/whatever inside - which is actually a good thing - you can get some pretty good craft beer if you've got time to spare :-)

It is very easy to get in and out of Glasgow airport because it is not that large. It is about the size of a medium sized midwestern city airport, maybe like Milwaukee or something like that. I arrived from Amsterdam and cleared passport/customs in five minutes. I had a chance to hang out for a couple of hours waiting for my friend to arrive from Iceland. I had a coffee and that was good. The international arrivals lounge is shabby. From afar, it looks nice but the chairs are stained and worn, much like my workout clothes. The worst thing is that there are NO plugs anywhere. If you are addicted to your phone and ipad like me, this is a critical shortcoming. When departing the airport, all drop offs are fairly far from the entry thanks to those idiots in 2007 that tried to drive a truck loaded with explosives into the airport. It is not a far walk but, much like taking shoes off at US airports, it makes me angry one or two jerks can change things permanently. It is different from US airports in that they don't announce gates til almost boarding time, so you can sit in this main area and look at the screen til your gate appears. There are plenty of restaurants and stores to entertain you if you like that sort of thing. Security was quick when I was there. You are forced to go through duty free right after security. I don't like to shop so i was not a fan of that. I can't wait til 2017 when Delta has direct flights there from JFK because connecting through AMS stinks. Overall, GLA isn't a bad place but it could be nicer. More plugs would help.
Another day another airport. Well, the same that I was at a couple of days ago. The good thing about this airport that getting through security is so much easier than LA. Even when you check in at the counter. The line isn't that long and there's always a good amount of someone working the counter. International airport and it's easier to maneuver, that's a win in my book. Also there's plenty of weigh stations that you can use for a pound to see if your luggage weight limits is correct before checking it in and having to readjusts. Security is upstairs. Scan your boarding pass to enter through before security. It's alway nice to have something that speedy and easy. The waiting area has a good amount of eating places. There's some fast food restaurants as well as sit down. Shopping is available as well with duty free at the beginning. What I don't like is they won't display your gate until it gets close to barding time. The airport isn't that big so it wouldn't be too much of a struggle trying to get to the correct one. read more
We flew out from here. We decided to go to the airport early since we were done with being out and about while it was raining. We came here 3 hours before our flight, which is a bit excessive. We couldn't even check in our luggage until 2:30 before the flight. Afterwards we made our way to the security screening. There was only one lane open and it took about 30 minutes. There are some restaurants, but not much else to do. We ended up being here even longer since our flight was delayed over an hour due to strong winds. read more
We arrived for an early 6:10am flight and it got quite busy here at 5:15am in the morning. Check-in and security were pretty quick and no hassle. There are plenty of shops and eateries if needed. A whisky bar was open and there were patrons, but we are in Scotland after all! It's a fine mid sized airport and I've no complaints. read more
I had a positive experience landing at Glasgow Airport from Heathrow Airport. It was a domestic flight and the gangway was quickly attached to the plane. By the time I went to the bathroom, suitcases were ready to be picked up. I don't know if it was because I traveled in the winter but this was the easiest European airport experience that I've encountered. I went from landing to arriving to my hotel in about 1 hour. read more
The Glasgow Airport was... pretty ok. Not the best, but not the worst. It definitely suffers from poor signage. We got there super early to get our flight back across the pond. There were detailed enough signs to properly point the Mericans to the right lines. Fortunately, we wound up guessing correctly and all was well. It's a smaller airport, so getting around was pretty easy. We got there in enough time to have breakfast, and there were ample places open and with seating. It's a good port to fly out of. read more

This is the worst airport I have ever visited. I was flying out in May 2024 for a short flight to Ireland. One of their staff at TSA was a middle-aged woman with short hair who was very condescending to an old couple in front of me and then directed the same power-hungry attitude towards me. If you try to submit a formal complaint, the customer representative will respond via email by being completely unhelpful, vague, and dismissive. This airport does not take pride in having diversity or accountability for its staff. read more

Smaller than Edinburgh, but twice as efficient, the Glasgow airport is easy peasy to use. The people are friendly and kind. Security was quicker and (this is coming from an American) you didn't have to take your shoes off! read more
06/04/2024 Tuesday 6:35am. The airport is small, but folks not too helpful. KLM and this airport were a freaking nightmare. First there is no counter service until 7:00am flight leaves at 9:15. The queue moves so slowly and the belt for the baggage is so narrow. It feels almost primitive. The whole 1 small plastic bag for your liquid/cream/lotion is confusing. Security. Is rather speedy but the gates are a fair jaunt. Then the icing on the cake. Having to dig my passport out at the boarding gate! Seriously, I have made it this far! All I should need is my boarding pass. read more

Shambles!!!!! Unfortunately couldn't give it a zero star rating. Well Glasgow "International" Airport. What a welcome for travelers. if I didn't live in this country I would have got straight back on the plane and returned. Totally unwelcoming, dirty soiled carpets, dirty smelly toilets and the queue for Passport Control unbelievable. I hopefully will never have to use this airport ever again. From disembarking to getting through immigration was 2 hours. The queues were horrendous. Absolutely no excuse for this whatsoever. However even if I had got through sooner baggage would need to have been waited on. Probably the worst experience in many many years of travelling around the world. Get your act together Glasgow "International" Airport. read more

On my most recent trip, Glasgow airport was a nice breath of fresh air. We arrived into Glasgow from Dublin, and were totally shocked (but delighted) that we didn't have to go through another passport check. Apparently, there is an arrangement with some countries where that is not necessary. It made our arrival that much easier. And then, when we were ready to head to Glasgow center, it's super easy and quick to get there via bus. When you're inside the airport, download their app and you can buy your round trip ticket. Activate, scan the code at the bus, and then you'll be in Glasgow in no time. When we got back to the airport, to return to Dublin, the security process was so much easier than Dublin. Line was short and quick and so we had plenty of time to get to our gate. The only thing that was not exactly unpleasant, but a strange experience, were the tiny planes being used by Aer Lingus to get us between the two cities. Of course, these planes don't necessarily reflect on Glasgow airport, but there is a shuttle but process from the gates to the planes. It makes the boarding process a little more intensive than most are probably used to, but didn't seem to delay our journey too much at the end of the day. read more
Glasgow is one of the quickest and easiest airports to arrive in that I have experienced. We landed and were at the rental car agency within minutes. Signage was very good and the traffic flowed nicely. On our return flight we experienced the same efficient service. Dropping off the rental car was a breeze. The signage for departing flights were amble and the employees were very friendly. This airport was clean with easy access to the bathrooms. They had nice dining and shopping areas. read more

Can't really fault it at all! The quick drop off charges you £2, but apparently this goes to charity, so I don't mind paying it now, knowing that! Check in straight through barcode scanners, to security. We were there 30 seconds before we came to the rollers to put our carry on and coats to be security scanned and straight through. For a small airport there are enough places to eat or a bit of shopping. Toilets are immaculate. Happy days! read more
Solid little airport. Pretty easy in and out. Only a short 15 minute uber ride to town. Why only 4 stars? International flights have passengers go through a shopping mall worth of duty free shops on the way to gates. Overall clean, solid food choices and good location. read more
An airport isn't really the most romantic place, but to me Glasgow Airport will always be the place that I walked through the arrivals gates to see my (now) husband pop out from behind a pole on my first visit to Glasgow. That was more than 5 years ago now, and I've been on countless trips through this airport - both for trips back to Australia as well as across Europe. Glasgow Airport is better than functional as I can't remember ever encountering any difficulties here. Of course it varies as to which airline you're flying with, but most will let you check-in online which means that you can just go to bag drop and be on your merry way. I find security is generally quick and hassle free, I've probably never waited more than 10 minutes to get through. Then you'll find yourself in the sea of perfume and booze in the duty free area. For some reason I've rarely looked at these options as it just doesn't interest me when I'm travelling. I'm all about the in-flight entertainment and food. Glasgow Airport only loses a star because I don't really fancy any of the food options here, and being a worrier, I'm always at least 2 hours early for my flight. The best of an unimpressive bunch tends to be Eat where I'll grab a salad or fruit bowl and pass the time with a book/laptop or on my phone (Yelping, obviously). The gates are all a relatively short walk away and always easy to find. There's plenty of toilets and some food options around the gates. Arriving into Glasgow Airport, I've always been able to grab my bags really quickly off the conveyor belt, I feel like they are extra speedy here. Sometimes you will have a long walk from the gate to departures but I quite like that when you've been sitting down for hours. There's a handy Tesco by the arrivals area which can be good if you need to pick up some meals but personally I prefer to arrange to have groceries delivered when I get home where possible (especially after being away for more than week). read more
What's with the long, rainy walk between the taxi drop-off point at the actual terminal? Seriously. I'm a lazy bum, and this airport is not allowing me to exercise my right to sloth. Meh. On the other hand, GLA offers some pretty spectacular sport in the form of a proper arcade (er... Game Zone) with an air hockey table, Guitar Hero, claw machine, and racing simulation. They've crammed a solid variety of electronic entertainment into a shoebox of a room. I would, however, trade the Game Zone and lax security measures for some free wi-fi, instead. I mean... what decade are we living in, anyway? read more

I always love coming here as I love flying and it's even more exciting if it's for a holiday. My memory is flying out from here on my first ever flight to Florida and I think it's stuck with me ever since. The airport is ever changing, Terminal 2 is now non-existent and various changes made for security purposes. I like that everyone goes through one security now. I hated having to go through the domestic one as I knew I wasn't going anywhere fancy and you miss out on various shops etc. Now that it's all the one everyone experiences the same. Although it's not the biggest airport it serves it's duty and I like it. read more
I've changed my mind so time for a star upgrade and review. The more I see other airports the more I realise how much I like Glasgow compared to most. It's small yes and has limited options from a shopping perspective, but it does what it needs to. It's gets you on and off your plane quickly and safely with minimal fuss or hassle. It's also holds good memories for me of leaving to go to exciting far off places and is a point of relief for when you return shattered from a work trip and are keen to get home. read more

I had flown to Dublin from here. I was worried of how I was going to print my tickets out. To save you all losing sleep as I did. You can print your tickets off on the ground floor as they have computers & printers close to Tesco if I remember. I think it was £1 for every 10 minutes, and £1 I'm sure per print out copy. read more

Don't be fooled- this airport has more to it than it seems to upon entry. Once you get beyond the security point, there are a bunch of duty-free shops and food options. The airport is clean and they seem to be fairly efficient at all check points. I will be back! read more
I found this airport really easy to get in and out of! It's about 15 minutes from Downtown Glasgow. It only took ten minutes total to get dropped off by our Uber driver, check two bags and print boarding passes, and go through security for an international flight. We sat in the Upper Deck Lounge while waiting for our flight, but there was a huge shopping mall full of duty free shops after security and on the way to the boarding gates. There were plenty of restrooms that were clean and stocked and there seemed to be plenty of food options. A solid airport choice for sure! read more

2009 was the 'year of airports' for me, having done quite alot of travelling. All of my journeys started and ended in here. It's not an intimidating airport by anyones standards, largely due to its modest size. It's also really easy to navigate your way around which is a big bonus. Security isn't too scary in here, which is also a plus and once you are through there are loads of big displays with flight information and a good selection of shops and eateries. Never had any hassles with check-in or missing luggage or anything nasty, favouring online check-ins wherever possible to speed things up. The Christmas decorations in here were pretty shoddy, as compared to Reykjavik for e.g. but thats Glasgow! A good airport that ticks all the right boxes for me to make me feel welcome and comfortable in an environment than can be infinitely more stressful than it should be. read more

Although not technically in Glasgow, this is the main airport that serves the city. For such a major airport, I'd say it's pretty small. There are two main check in areas, and the desk you're looking for is always the busiest. There are the usual airport shops, such as Boots, WH Smith, Waterstones and a Wetherspoons. I would recommend eating at Harry Ramsdens as I found The Biggest Chip in the World here in 2007. Officially. Maybe. Will upload a photo so you can judge for yourself. Anyway, the airport is getting a bit shabby and starting to show its age. It could do with a bit of a makeover - I don't think it's had anything done to it since those terrorists drove their jeep into it. There are now barriers all around. It's sad, but I guess it's a necessary part of air travel today. read more
It's a fine airport. I'd take it over Manchester if you want to compare U.K. airports. Even flying internationally and checking a bag (full of scotch) this was an easy process. The two-hour rule is probably not applicable here for international. Had a 1pm flight to JFK. Colleagues wanted to get there two hours early. It took maybe 25 minutes to check in, drop off bag, and get through security (even factoring in that my carry-on was pulled and checked). At 11:20 I am walking through duty-free and the gate won't even be announced until 12:10. Your experience may differ, but I think you can cut it a bit closer if needed. (Oh, decent food options. Lots of shopping. Not a huge terminal.) Also, there is a fully stocked Boots! read more
Glasgow airport was great on our way to Rome, it was quick and easy check in but on our way back trying to get a taxi was an absolute nightmare. Apparently the barriers were broken and no taxis or buses could get through and according to our taxi driver John with the license plate 023 this happens at least 15 times a week which is ridiculous and after coming back from an amazing trip this puts you in such a bad mood so thanks Glasgow airport, for ruining my day. read more
Glasgow International Airport is a nice airport, not much to complain about. The signs are easy to follow, ticket agents & staff are friendly, and in fact it seemed to move faster than at my home airport. Loved the duty free shopping, so much to choose from, go a little early to the airport and do a little bit of shopping, or even window shopping. There are plenty of places to stop and grab a bite to eat and lots of seating areas too, the only thing I that I would have to complain (and it's really not a complaint) about is that you do not find out what gate you are leaving out of until about 30 minutes before boarding, but it was the same way in Heathrow, so it might just be a UK thing and I'm just used to being told what gate to mosey on over too here in the US. Traveling through Glasgow International Airport was breeze, I'm sure I will be back though in no time. read more
You know those puzzles you get with kids packs in restaurants? The ones with crayons, a picture to colour in and usually a wee maze or two on the back? Aye,? Well I bloody well rock at those mazes and can finish them well quicker than your average 3-8 year old. Take that small person, victory dance, I win, now geez yur chips. Aye. Well, think about Glasgow Airport as one of these puzzles... It's simple. You go in, it's pretty straight forward, you wander up to the security, do the usual 'crap, not wearing matching socks' security malarky and hit the wee duty free bit. Yes it's wee, and the shops that precede it are fairly limited, but hey... I'm here to fly, not to shop! Hit gate, look pretty (tis me honest, only three of four stone ago), jump flying mobile and you're gone. I think these guys are having a big revamp and rebuild at the moment which should add to the facilities but I have to say it was super easy to get in and out of and not a problem getting my bag and getting through arrivals. Although some peeps might not enjoy flying from smaller airports I actually quite like it as they're hassle free and require much less time to rock up, check-in and jump straight on the flight. Put it this way, I flew up from Heathrow T5 and that took hours to get ready to get on my flight. My Uber picked me up straight outside and it only took me 30 mins into town. read more
I go through Glasgow Airport mosts weeks, on work travel. Because it's for work, I'm generally stumbling through the airport at 630am, grumpy and half asleep, and have my head down, so I'm perhaps not taking as much in as your average lucky holiday maker off to have good times in foreign lands. Ever since a couple of bampot terrorists tried to drive a burning Jeep into the front of the airport, security measures have been put in place which make it quite difficult to drive to anywhere near the front. So if you are getting dropped off at the normal drop off place and have mobility issues, or find walking any distances too tiring, you might be better going into car park 2. You'll need to pay a charge but it's about £1.50 - £2 I think. This is where the pick up area is too. Then it's just a short walk over the zebra crossing into the airport building. If you are getting dropped off at the drop off area, the walk-way is at least covered, so if it is beating sunshine (haha) or battering rain (more likely) then at least you have some shelter. (Most folk going to Ibiza tend not to have packed a brolly.) The check-in area on the ground floor is simple - it's just a big straight line of check in desks. Moving upstairs towards the security area, there are tables and free plastic bags for you to sort out your liquids before you go through. Holiday makers - PLEASE sort your liquids before you go through. It's tedious to be stuck behind you as you prevaricate about which of your toiletries you're going to have to leave behind because you didn't read or listen to any of the many instructions about liquids before you got to this point. There are some eatings places here - I have no idea what really - some sort of Tennent's place maybe - I'm sure I've seen a big red T, and a breakfast place perhaps. And a Celtic shop. Security is pretty quick normally. They have LOTS of machines, and it's well organised. Staff are normally fairly decent, although I did have an argument once with a security guy about a wrap I was wearing. Then comes the bit I really don't like. At most airports, you can skirt round the 'duty free' shop. Not here. You have to walk right through the middle of it. It has lighting bright enough to stun a million deer, and far too many skooshes of perfume and aftershave wafting about. At 630am, that is not what I'm looking for. It's inhumane. Walking through it gives me an instant headache and I absolutely detest being subjected to this with no way of avoiding it. If you ever see someone bolting through this area with sunglasses on and a scarf covering her mouth, aye, that'll be me. You then have a fairly dull area before the gates. There's some sort of electronic shop, the obligatory Scottish shop selling expensive tweed and cashmere items, fridge magnets etc, Accessorise, Boots, some sort of Wetherspoons, a Travelex, some handy cash machines, Frankie & Bennie's, WH Smith, a WH Smith bookshop, Starbucks and Eat. Maybe some sort of jewelery shop I never go in. If you're travelling internationally there are more shops further down that end of the departure lounge - can't remember what - a Dorothy Perkins I think, probably more bars. Anyway, the EAT is the only place to get some sort of breakfast food or noodle soup or whatever - you'll know the sort of food you get in Eat. Then through to the departure gates area. It's like most other airports really. A big long corridor with pockets of seats at the sides. A bit dull, not much happening here except bored folk waiting about on uncomfortable seats under horrible lighting. There's another WH Smith, there's a coffee place up at the end, oh and another smaller 'duty free' shop if you weren't already sufficiently loaded up with Beefeater gin and perfume. Glasgow airport could do so much better here. If it was more like London City airport that woud be a good start - they have a range of different seating choices, quieter and busier areas, a few fairly decent places to eat or get a quick drink, and plug sockets to charge your devices - all very customer focussed and convenient. They also have free wifi for as long as you like, whereas at Glasgow it is free, but for only 30 minutes, which just adds to the frustration when your flight is delayed. A word of warning. If you are going to London, particularly London City, during the winter, it is very likely that your flight will be delayed because of fog on the Thames. I have lost count of the times that I have seen passengers just get up and go home at this point as they've already missed the meeting they were going down for. Anyway, Glasgow airport is OK, it's better than a lot of other airports around the UK, but they could do a bit better compared to the airports which are modernising themselves and becoming more passenger centric. My frequent journeys would be a lot more pleasant if there were some comfortable waiting areas rather than the stark holding bays they currently have in place. read more
Glasgow airport and I are perhaps too well acquainted of late but that has given me plenty of time to ponder it's various pluses and minuses. So let's take a wander through the Glasgow Airport experience..... Arriving at the airport is relatively straightforward, there are a couple of different bus options from the city centre, various long stay parking lots with transfers and a drop-off area not too far a trek from the terminal (but beware those picking up a traveller, if you're planning to head in to the terminal avoid the main short stay parking and go for the much cheaper lot at the side, about 75% cheaper for an extra 2 minutes' walk). The main check-in hall is not too bad, although BA have taken away their self-check-in kiosks which is a bit of a pain. Most of the airlines check-in from the main hall but there is an auxiliary building at the far end with more check-in desks, mostly for Jet2 flights the last time I was there. From the main hall you head up to security which is a bit of a mixed bag depending on the time of day you're heading through. Sometimes you'll wait 2 minutes max others you might be half an hour. Early morning flights are by far the worse so make sure you allow extra time then (that awful window of the 5-6am check-in......) On the scale of mild inconvenience to frustrating and intrusive, I've generally found the security at Glasgow Airport to be somewhere near the better end of the scale. Staff tend to be friendly and helpful. Once you've made it through security it's time to run the duty-free assault course. I can't comment too much on what's available as I tend to use the tact of headphones in, avoid all contact, but from the rare side glance I would conclude they have the typical airport offerings on sale. One the other side you'll find a selection of shops and eateries to help you waste the time before you flight/allow you to overpay for that one thing you forgot to pack. There's not a great selection on offer but it does have all the basics covered: a novelty Scottish gifts store, electronics, a small book store, a newsagent and a Boots for your last minute toiletries needs. There's a larger section of shops towards the international departures area on the left but it has been under renovation recently so I'm not sure what will end up there. When it comes to food the options aren't stellar, there's an EAT and a Starbucks for coffees and snacks as well as a few pubs and a Frankie and Benny's if you're looking for something more substantial. There's not much more once you head through to the gates (a small café bar at most) so keep that in mind if you're peckish before travelling. The gates themselves are split between the 3 arms of the airport so make sure you're heading to the right one. On left is mainly international departures with domestic flights heading out of the middle and right. From this point on it a pretty standard airport experience although they have been refurbishing areas (originally inspired by the Commonwealth Games) so at least the toilets etc. are nice. There is WiFi available in the terminal building to help with the wait but only the first 30 minutes it free so use it well! Arriving on a flight into Glasgow is a relatively straightforward experience where you're funnelled towards either the international or domestic arrivals. Baggage retrieval is on the whole quite efficient and you can often find yourself standing outside not much more than 10 minutes from stepping the aircraft. One plus from the point of view of the business traveller arriving home is the small Tesco store just outside domestic arrivals which allows you to pick up a few essentials (usually wine....) before heading home. Overall, Glasgow Airport gets the job done and isn't bad for a smallish airport although it would be massively improved by having some better choices on the food front...... read more
It's not the most sleek and modern of airports but the queuing security time "scoreboard" type thing is great... All though it said that my estimated wait time would be 10 minutes, there was just me in "line"... How many layers and bottles or water did they think I was packing? It's a small airport which has it's benefits, no epic walks to your terminal. It could do with a bit of make over as it feels a bit sad in spots or maybe that's just because I'm hungover every time I fly out of there. read more

Glasgow airport is pretty easy to get to no matter what direction you are coming from. It has both domestic and international flights but the layout does not give the impression of a huge airport. It has many coffee shops dotted around, and some shops on the first floor, including a good book/magazine shop and boots for all your esentials. There is also a money exchange in case you forgot to do it earlier. Once you are through customs and in duty free you may wonder why you were so desperate to get there, it looks a bit dated and the shops are not very exciting. The coffee shops are better before you go through customs so have a coffee there first! read more

Worst airport ever, Kept there for three night because the man at customs failed to do his job properly (nightmare) was only trying to bring a dog through but thanks Mr Dunbar your a complete idiot! and should not be doing that job, If you care about animals you don't keep them in a room for days just because you didn't make the appropriate phone calls when you should have. Glasgow Airport is not pet friendly be warned and the staff are rude and lazy as hell. read more

As airports go, this one was OK. Small enough manage without having to send out a search party to find anything. Large enough to have the things you need. Very convenient for our trip to Scotland and allowed us to hit the ground running for our week there. read more
