It took me two visits of asking for an update before a part was mysteriously sourced within ten minutes of my second visit. I was then quoted a rather high repair bill but due to desperation, I agreed to get it done, on the assumption that it would also be re-MOT'd at the end of it. I was phoned on the day, after the repairs were done, to be told that I would not be getting an MOT and if I wanted one, due to the time it took to get repaired, I would have to pay full price again. I ultimately took my business elsewhere and regret ever going there.

When i went to drop my car off I said to my friend I had a bad feeling and no chance was my car going to pass and guess what it failed. I was quoted £145 to replace a cracked bolt in the suspension. When i phoned around I was told £99 was the max. I queried the cost and £42 was immediately taken off. The pick up time was put back and back as they were having problems getting some old screws off when I eventually did pick up the car I drove to the top of the road and had to come back. Ever time I turned the steering wheel the car shuddered. After twenty minutes of" looking over" the car the Manager returned to say nothing was wrong. When I left the garage the problem had magically disappeared.I will never use or recommend this garage again and if I had seen the previous review I would not have booked. No point getting a cheap MOT when you have no faith in the integrity of the garage. If I knew where the old guy who used to work there had gone I would go there next year but will definitely not be coming back to this place. Avoid!

On the day of retest the were very rude and unprofessional. They assumed that my handbrake was not well adjusted. This was only mentioned in the retest with no paperwork proving that and it was not mentioned in the MOT certificate which would make sense because the Brakes were changed before the MOT. I decide to go to another MOT centre and they highlighted the play in the inner track pad end as advisories that need to be monitored and it was not excessive. This was exactly what the MOT certificate from June stated. So what 2 MOT centres highlighted as advisories was a major defect according to Byres Road Garage.

With in an hour I got a call and the was trying to sell me a second problem the front discs and pads. I know the limit for discs and pads yes they are worn but still have some life left. The issue with the knocking /rattling while accelerating was not addressed how ever they told me it was a ball joint so they changed the swing arm. When collecting the car and paid I noticed the noise was still there just shows they didn't even test drive the car after the incorrect work they done. Left the car with them just for them to not do anything to sort the issue cos they already got their money so bigger that customer. You are better off using someone else Also please be aware that they will try to get you to pay cash as the old receptionist try to push me to do sever times while I was there. This is a way they avoid paying tax. Be aware read the reviews on them and be mindful full of the reviews as for every bad review they most likely have their staff write 2-3 good reviews. They were cheaper and more efficient than the garage near my home (who always want 24 hours to do anything!) and I was very happy with the service, being close to my workplace was a nice bonus.

However, we are a two car family and recently both have needed repairs within a short space of each other. I was assured by the garage that all would be well and they could fix them. The first car took almost two weeks of badgering to finally get repaired and throughout staff lied about delays, one minute said we could have a courtesy car then said they didn't have one then said they didn't give cars out. Appointments were made to bring the car in only to arrive and be told there had been mix ups and the mechanics couldn't look at the car. On numerous occasions we were promised that someone would contact us and the call never came. One mechanic is too busy touting for his own business as he's threatening to leave. Finally, I have decided enough is enough and have taken my car to another garage. Even this was interesting as they have pointed out things I should have been told about my engine that Omnius never mentioned in all the times they've serviced it, MOT'd it or repaired it. I used to recommend them but certainly not now. Please don't let them waste your time or money.

It was a little out of the way for me (their location is in a southside industrial park), but they came highly recommended. My car had a whole laundry list of things that needed doing from the previous MOT and they took care of all of that without trying to sell me on a bunch of unnecessary stuff. I needed three new tyres and they repositioned all of them in the way that made the most sense for our long-term wear (without me even needing to ask). I chose it because they seemed like the cheapest when I did some research online. The place is located not too far from the city centre, and it seemed quite busy, even on a Monday morning. The guys were ready for me, and it was done in about an hour or so. It cost a little less than I was expecting it to, so overall, I'm rather happy with the service, and with the cost. They even had free coffee and biscuits in their waiting room.

I'd had intermittent issues with my Ford's timing belt for months, but this smaller garage did what 2 larger (and better known) garages had failed to do. Water Pump was also sorted without fuss! I won't pretend to be a petrolhead, but after many years in customer service I was impressed with the whole process for the size of the place. Highly Recommended…read more I like most, especially female, was sceptical when using garages to put my car through for work or an MOT. I read a review for FLORIDA MOT CENTRE and decided to give them a call. The staff was very friendly and I decided to proceed. The car went through the MOT all be it work was required, I was very, very impressed at the customer service at this centre. I was talked through my MOT and what was happening and why. I was shown possible points on the car that would require work done in the future. I was also given hints on how to treat the car (being an RX8) things that I never knew and was also given I website for any information I would ever need. I will be recommending this garage to all my friends in the local area, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable! I also found their prices fair on MOT and other works! Now I know I have a place that is upfront and honest about all their works and why! I will be using this garage here on!

I chose Best Fit based on reviews I saw on Google, it's also 2 mins away from me so that was a plus. My MOT was booked for 9am and I got my car back at 3pm after some repairs. The person I dealt with was really nice and friendly. I also found him really trustworthy. They phoned me to tell me my car required a repair to pass my MOT and asked if they could carry it out and outlined the costs over the phone. The price of the MOT was only £19.95 which was great and I wasn't charged extra for the retest. In other garages I have been charged for "labour" and I didn't see this on my receipt. It was possible that the repair cost included this however I defintely didn't feel robbed. I highly recommend Best Fit as it's run by nice friendly people and the cost for an MOT was so good!
