I visited several wineries in Langley Township. Glass House Winery was one of them, located on 0 Avenue and specializing in white wine. We tried Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Gruner Veltliner, Millefiori, and Madeleine Angevine during our wine tasting. I found their Gewurztraminer quite interesting; it's not as sweet as others I've tasted. All the white wines we tried were light and easy to drink. We ended up purchasing Madeleine Angevine, which is a bit more dry and crisp. The outdoor patio and picnic area were lovely. They offer a Sunday brunch buffet that pairs well with their wines, featuring meats, cheeses, baked goods, and a chocolate fountain! Next time, we would like to sample more wines, and this place will definitely become one of my regular wineries to visit read more

Went for brunch here on a Saturday, booked reservations online so I didn't have to wait. They had a limited wine selection when I went (July 1) but through said more options coming in a month. Had the rosé and it was a nice dry wine. Really enjoyed it and bought a bottle ($35). I ordered the Turkey sandwich with a salad. I'm going to start with the salad as it was so delicious! A lovely vinegarette along with walnuts and strawberries. Loved it and ate it first. The sandwich was very good as well, had avocado, bacon, tomatoes, turkey...all the best things in a turkey sandwich in my opinion! My husband ordered The classic eggs benny. it came with these garlic potatoes that were seasoned just right. I could have had a bowl of them with my rosé! Hollandaise was on point! I had arranged a 50th birthday wine tour in Langley this past weekend. I left 2 emails and 2 voice mails with Glasshouse to try and book a tasting. I was not contacted back by any staff members in the weeks leading up to the event. We decided to try and just pop in. The reception was rude, said 6 of us could do a tasting and those not tasting could wait in the parking lot! They chastised us for not making a reservation and when I said that we had tried several ways to reserve and were not contacted back, there was no apology and instead just a too bad so sad. We had been to glasshouse several times when JRG was running the show and this is our first experience with the new owners. Needless to say we will not be back. read more

I stopped at the Glass House Estate Winery as part of a wine tour. I thought it initially it looked quite industrial from the outside but once inside it was rather beautiful. It had a lovely ambiance and cottagey but also elegant. Loved it! As we didn't have reservations - it was impromptu - we tasted at the counter. They had a great selection and a beautiful property. The gentleman who assisted us was wonderful. He explained every wine and poured generous pours. I really enjoyed my time here! read more

Service is terrible ! Who let a child work there? Isn't that child labour? Some young boy is making reservations and sitting guests and extremely rude. But the experienced servers saved the day so 3 stars for that and everything else. Otherwise it would have been a terrible experience for me and my guests from out of town. We ordered their wine flights, charcuterie board, crab dip, margharita flat bread, hot honey chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious especially their crab dip and charcuterie board. Love a good winery with a restaurant! Glass House has quite the charming one right against the US/Canadian Boarder. I recommend making a reservation on a weekend! We got a nice table on their veranda-style patio facing the vineyard and the live music. We very much enjoyed the ambiance. Service was very good and friendly. Highly recommend the wine flight, which comes in generous servings. Their pinot Grigio is a like a dry rosé and was my favourite. The white wines are tart and go down smooth. Reds have a berry-forward note. Pinot noir had a nice smokey quality to it. Bought a bottle of each pinot to take home! We weren't too hungry so we started with the Margherita Flatbread - which had a nice in-house baked dough. The tomato sauce was delicious and sweet with a bit of umami to it! We also went for the steak frites - local beef was of good quality but nothing to write home about. Gravy was nice. Broccolini was cooked perfectly but a little too over-seasoned for us. The charcuterie boards looked really nice with generous servings of grapes but my partner isn't into c boards so we didn't order any. No room for dessert but the desserts that were carried past us, cheesecakes, looked good. We thought the musician could have been placed in a more integrated spot - like inside the patio or maybe even right in the picnic table area. Would visit again! read more

Celebrated my longtime bff's birthday this past Saturday at Glass House Estate Winery. We enjoyed dinner and wine on their patio, which overlooks their beautiful vineyards. We all shared a bunch of dishes as appetizers, including the Charcuterie & Cheese board, Tomato Salad, Crab Dip, and the Wild Mushroom Flatbread. For entrees, I chose the Halibut, while many of my group chose the Beef, which is an 8oz Flatiron Steak. We also ordered the Poutine as well. All the food was delicious! I wanna say this was my third time here and it doesn't disappoint. Of course, dinner isn't complete at a winery without ordering wine. My table finished 3 bottles of their 2020 Bacchus. Although tempting, unfortunately I didn't have any myself as I was driving.. but of course, grabbed a bottle to enjoy at home. Overall, a great dinner with great conversation! read more

While searching for wineries in Langley, I came across Glass House Estate Winery. At first my thoughts were "wow their tasting room building looks very unique and kind of futuristic". The building is, indeed, a huge glass house as their name suggests. Their photos online make the place look magnificent and worth the drive. Just before the USA border, on 0 Ave I found myself visiting this winery a few days after discovering it online. Lucky enough, the sun was out and shining, as opposed to the usual rain- something which we must be extra thankful for in March. The glass building sits on a large stretch of land, the vineyard just behind the glass house. Stepping out of the car, in front of me was a majestic view! Upon entering the tasting room I was surprised to find it extremely busy. As there was no room at all at the bar, I was seated at one of their tables beside the window, where I could enjoy the beautiful scenery outside as I waited. A $5 tasting fee would be applied to sample four wines. Of course when there's two of you, you can pretty much taste the entire menu, and so I did. The Gewurtztraminer was delicious, and so was the merlot- both of them being my absolute favourite varietals. The ice wine, however, was incredible. The lady serving us mentioned that it would pair well with blue cheese. Though at $48.75, I wouldn't be purchasing a bottle just yet. The only downside to my experience was the wait. Because there were so many people at the bar, we had to sit even further from the ladies serving, which meant we were approached only after long periods of time. In total, a 4 wine tasting took about half an hour-much MUCH longer than one would ever expect. Hopefully this is not something that will continue, as they may lose some first time customers who do love their winery. read more

My brother and sister-in-law took us here. This was the second winery stop of the evening and a fantastic evening. We went for the wine tasting. The woman that served us was helpful and helped educate the 2 prairie visitors on the different varieties available. We moved over to the back deck overlooking the vineyard. Beautiful atmosphere. You can buy a bottle and go closer to the vineyard to enjoy a picnic with the baskets and wine glasses provided. We, however, stayed on the deck and enjoyed a flatbread and charcuterie board. Both were quite tasty and complemented our favourite wines very nicely. So much fun, and we had a great time. read more

My fiancée and I went for dinner at the Glass House Winery for our anniversary. The food was delicious, the staff extremely pleasant and helpful, the lighting was good, and the noise level was low enough that we could hear each other properly. My fiancée was really happy to finally have a dinner where he could actually enjoy himself and talk and enjoy the conversation. The ambience is really nice, albeit loud. The wines were delicious, but the food was lacking. Ordered the KFC chicken sandwich, which was supposed to be crispy and spicy. What was delivered to me was a soggy sandwich. The chicken was limp and not crispy, nor was it covered in sauce. Definitely not crafted with care. My husband got a poutine - it was okay. I won't be surprised if someone contracts covid 19 at the glass house. Zero social distancing in place inside. Some of the rules aren't being followed. Customers standing and waiting at the bar, by the entrance, by the washrooms. Customers bring their own food out and pass others. No sanitation of the tables outside. No one seated 6 feet apart on the patio. Other vineyards have done a good job. Glass house doesn't seem to care. read more

Wow what a disappointment, but I had been warned by others. I like to support local business however, the staff that are so important to any business were not well trained and often preoccupied. Furthermore, there was an embarrassing man ( possibly an employee ) who inappropriately approached my girlfriend multiple times and hovered about. Not a good feeling. Captivating. Really nice looking grounds surrounding the winery shop itself. Great interior, big tables to fit medium party sizes. Wine is good, they've got food as well, didn't try it but sounds appetizing. Great staff working there. Tons of parking space, maybe only second to krause berry farms. We had a fantastic time here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their 'Glass House' is full of love, fun and great wine. The charcuterie plates are unique and tasty. We laughed, drank and ate. Didn't want to leave. You should definitely try this winery. Ask them the story about their white wine bottles and their glass tops. Love it. We will be back.
