I really like this place. Great value for money.
Offers two swimming pools, a smaller and bigger one, a proper gym upstairs and 2 studios, one for cardio and the other for the yoga/pilates type.
I think they have really good annual gym membership packages too. Even packages discounted for couples.
It has decent space and quite a large section full of weights, but it could get a bit crowded especially during evenings, from 5-7pm. After that, things start to clear up a bit. But if you are a morning person, then you are in luck, this is the best place to go. Lots of treadmills, cross trainers, variety of equipment available for toning those calves, thighs, abs, shoulders, arms, biceps and what not!
The gym also has space for group exercises that occur at regular times during the day. I haven't been able to make my schedule adjusted to their times, so I just do what I want on my own.
Mostly kept clean, though occasionally you could find yourself wondering what that stench is when some really stinky person walks around. I'm very glad that I don't live with people who don't know the concept of a shower/bath or for that matter even a deodorant. But I have found such people in a lot of gyms, so I can't blame the gym for that.
For those who have obsessive compulsive cleanliness disorders, you have anti-bacterial sprays and lots of tissues at your disposal to do all the cleaning yourselves before you step in to run, walk or even lie on if you were picking a mat.
You won't be demotivated, people of all sizes and shapes come here. This is not one of those gyms you see in movies, where only folks with 6 packs and thigh gaps go to.
You also have good high tempo music played in the background, loud enough to get you moving and quite enough to not get on your nerves.
You might also find it amusing at times when you see folks who try to use equipment that they have no idea how to use, but you can always choose to help them if you really know how they should be using it. In case you don't know how to use an equipment, always ask the instructor who sits in a special medical room which is also inside the gym right next to the entrance.
If you come in the morning, you'll find me there, dying and then rising again. read more
