This is the worst Cemetery I've ever seen. The landscaping is horrible, I'm talking about simple things like dead bushes, dead plants. Pond is not kept up. Signage and some of the different areas are bent or missing the sign. Seven months and we are still waiting. Mom and Dad purchased a plot many years ago before he passed in 1993. The price included the stone and plaques for both of them. Mom died in early May of this year. The cemetery explained that markers were taking more time due to COVID. Fair enough. Summer came and went. We followed up in late October to find out when we could expect the marker. They promised to look into it and blamed COVID. It is now December, more than 7 months after Mom's burial and there is still no plaque! A quick walk around the cemetery revealed several plaques on newer graves dated this year. It seems that COVID didn't affect the recent paying customers - just the ones that bought their plans many years ago. Glen Haven - please explain. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO star I would. My son is dying of neuroblastoma cancer, he has days/weeks left. My wife and I were looking around at different memorial places and found this one. The grounds are beautiful, I must admit. My problem is how the sales rep do business here. My wife wanted to do a very expensive estate type setup, 11k for land and 4k for the stone. When we were finishing up the paper work, Jose the sales rep says they offer no interest for a few years. Sounds like a great deal so we sign the paper work. A few days later he calls my wife up to confirm some info, then mentions you can NOT bury reminds until the full amount is paid. If you know a child is dying SOON, and the family is setting up the funeral arrangements, don't you think you should tell the family you can NOT bury until it's paid off. A few days after we cancel, I call up the sales manager Justin March to find out how long it will take to process the cancellation. He then tries to upsale me on another service, I listen, but politely tell him it's not about the money, its about how they run the business. He then tells me inside the contract, it does state you can not bury until after full payment. That is when I lost it on him, Honestly who reads all the fine print when someone is dying. FUCK THIS PLACE, AVOID AT ALL COST. read more

Ever since this company was bought out the service has been horrendous. No one knows what is going on and they all point the finger to another employee or just shrug their shoulders. The follow up on two different prepaid services and burials my husband and I have had to deal with over the last year have been almost comical. The latest thing we are still dealing with is getting the date of death added to my mother in laws niche plate. She passed almost a year ago and they still haven't added the date. We call or stop by on a regular basis and nothing happens though they talk a good game. I suppose once they have their money (prepaid years ago) in their mind they are done. read more

Update: shortly after posting my review on Yelp, the manager, Mr. Gruendl, contacted me. He said he had contacted the company that does the headstones dates in Wisconsin, but they wouldn't be able to ship it until late Feb. He also told me they were reimbursing the price of the headstone date. I told him that wasn't necessary, but he insisted. In early Feb., Ms Cruz called me to say that the headstone had been placed. My visit was horrible. Dirt covers mom and dads markers, no grass,rodents everywhere, could not find uncles grave. The people running this place simply don't care. Family memories trampled on for what. The state needs to come and clean house. Glen haven staff you snould be ashamed of yourselves. I certainly am. My grandmother passed away in 1987. I moved away and upon my return went for a visit. Glen Haven Memorial Park has expanded over the years so I stopped by the office to find her exact location. After searching in their computer I was told by the staff that my grandmother was not buried at Glen Haven Memorial Park. I was told that I was mistaken and should check out the other cemeteries in the area. Instead ..I walked the cemetery for 3 hours looking for my grandmother and there she was near a beautiful tree within steps of the office. They obviously do not care enough to maintain their records. read more

I am so very disappointed with Glen Haven. My mother's urn was placed in a niche here 12 years ago; we purchased this niche. At the time, we wanted to prepay my father's inurnment so he would be placed in the same niche. We pre-paid over $500 to have the niche reopened when my father passed away--which he did last week. At the time, I asked if there would be any other fees associated with my father's burial, and was assured there would be no more fees. Last week I met with a representative at Glen Haven to sign the papers to add my father's ashes to the niche. I was told that the $500+ I paid 12 years ago was only for the 'rights' to put my father in with my mother. WHAT!?!?!? Then, it cost me $795 to reopen the niche to put him in! When they knew I was upset about that, they said they would waive the $95 'processing fee', so I thanked them since it was a little discount. When they charged my credit card for $795, I questioned them and was told that, "Oh, it would have been ANOTHER $95 on top of the $795". Glen Haven and Baldwin Fairchild sale tactics is what gives the mortuary business the reputation of being high-pressure sales people who take advantage of their clients in a time of need. I was so disappointed with them. My advice? Go elsewhere. read more

Please don't do business here. I paid for sandblasting and flower vase 3 months ago April 30th, put my father to rest here on May 7th, and they still have not perform the services I paid for. We chose this garden but not regret. The salesperson doesn't even answer my calls or texts. Everytime I called the office and asked to speak to the manager, I get transfer to the salesperson, who then keeps giving me excuses and promise it'll be done soon. It's been 3 long months, and my father still doesn't have a name on his niche. We can't even place a flower for him because they still have not put a vase for us. Took them only 5 minutes to take my money, yet almost 3 months they still have not deliver their service. Terrible. I wouldn't give them any star at all. read more

I had a horrible experience with the service I received from Glen Haven. When my mother passed away it was a difficult time for me and what I thought was suppose to a helpful and understanding place was the opposite. I was suppose to have an appointment with Steve on Saturday December 27, 2014. When my wife and I got there Steve knew nothing about our appointment and I take he was filling in at this park because he had no idea where anything was located. He found my mothers contract and it was my understanding she was suppose to be put in the same niche as my father. I told Steve we did not want to be present when the remains were put in the niche and he agreed to call as soon as it was done. I never heard back from him until January 22, 2015 and that call was to stop by my house to sell me a prepaid burial plan. I told I was not interested in a plan but did he by chance know if my mother's remains were put in the niche with my dad. He did not but was going to check the next day and he never called back. I called Glen Haven February 13, 2015 and spoke to Jose. He looked for the records and said it appears my mother was in the niche next to my dad. I told him that was wrong and in fact on the niche my dad is in we had my mothers name added when my dad died so al we had to do was add my mothers date of passing. I still do not know where my mothers remains are located or if they are even at Glen Have. Jose said he and admin were going to pull all the paper work and get this straightened out, which leads me to believe my mom is in a separate. He said he would call me back once they figured everything out. I am not sure how difficult it is to locate someone's remains at Glen Haven because it is not that large and I even told them what building my dad was in. I would not recommend Glen Haven to anyone because of the level of service and caring they give you. Someone in another posted they do not care about the family because they were most likely not going to there customer any time soon. My wife and I purchased Niches in a lovely cemetery in Winter Park half the price and no opening or closing fees and no fees for the name plate. my father died 36 years ago, plots were purchased/now my mother has passed and I am disgusted at the upkeep of this cemetary. grave markers are sinking, grass is virtually non existant except for weeds, ant hills have taken over and excuse is "we havent had much rain"...and we are restricted on watering. Really? we were quickly escorted to the new creamatory, with lush grass, flowing water and a new air conditioned room for remains. Obvious to me where the money is spent here. not on those oild plots but the new potenttial clients. I regret I have to place my mother here and wish I could move my father. they don't deserve this in death, this is an outrage. read more

My father's funeral was July 2016. Thousands of dollars were spent on the bronze plaque and head stone and other features which were purchased including a lovely vase. Everything carefully and meticulously picked out, many documents signed, and a ton of money forked out back in July. Here we are on Christmas day... They were supposed to have everything ready months ago but somehow after calling every few days for months and being avoided, finally they admit they have no paperwork and no idea of what was ordered and request that all of the items be picked out again, all of the paperwork redone... this process took weeks this last summer and these shady "rob peter to pay Paul" crooks seem to purposefully be delaying and playing games. The sales rep, Jeremy, advised all paperwork was properly prepared and provided to management. I am at a point where my lawyers might have to get involved since these people seem to be stealing money and involved in some type of shady practice. I am pretty sure this could easily be turned into a class action suit since many others seem to have the same issue. read more
