Nice gas station. Could use more expired tips. Couldn't find the slushy machine with all that learning in the way.

Everyone in this school are some of the most caring, patient, and knowledgeable teachers I've ever met. I've never heard a single complaint from amy of the parents here and honestly we couldn't be happier. Probably one of the best decisions we've ever made.

However, we were not notified of any injury at the time it occurred or when we picked him up. To this day (weeks later) MAGE has been unable to tell us how or when our son was injured that day. Due to our son's age, he was unable to articulate what happened, but it is obviously unlikely he did this to himself. Due to the lack of information provided by MAGE, the pediatric doctor requested x-rays to eliminate the possibility of a broken bone. After x-rays revealed no broken bones, his arm was adjusted back into place. We were asking for 100% reimbursement of the $530 for the x-rays which was our out-of-pocket after insurance, and MAGE denied our request. We are very dissatisfied with how this was handled.

Glenbard South is the smallest Glenbard, but they are an amazing school…read more I transferred there in Feb2013 and I just graduated this June. They offer a variety of classes for being such a small school. The teachers really know what they are doing and are very knowledgable on their subject. My favorite part about South is their special education program. They are a small school, and they do a great job integrating the kids into the school by having them walk the hallways to class instead of keeping all the kids hidden away in a far-off hallway. They accept special needs kids from outside of their district and can take in kids from neighboring Glenbards. Also, GBS has a variety of sports (their football team is something to brag about) and extracurriculars for kids to do, and many kids do more than one thing. I personally was on the dance team, key club, spanish club, and best buddies and had a great time on all of them. As for the kids, I'd say MOST of them are nice. It's such a small school, so there will be a lot of cliques. Coming in the middle of my Junior year was not ideal, but the kids in my grade were really welcoming and I ended up making a lot of friends that year and even more in my senior year as I got to know everyone. Overall a good school to go to. GO RAIDERS

I just graduated from here There are great academics here, at least for honors/AP kids- the Regular…read moretrack is mediocre. It helps that the school is so small, so classes are a bit more cozy and personalized. There are lots of active extracurriculars in a variety of fields, including some (not sports) which regularly make it to State competitions. It is a bit clique-filled, but if you went to Glencrest (as 95% of the population here did) it shouldn't be a problem, as you'll have found a group to talk to already. Even if that isn't the case, it's not that difficult to fit in with a little effort, as the many extracurriculars can help you find people with similar interests. One star off for the administration- they started off not so bad, but now they're cracking down on harmless senior pranks, eliminating traditions because there's the slightest hint of danger, and pushing kids into AP classes they aren't prepared for and not letting them drop the classes when there's a problem. The missing star's also because the college advising is mediocre at best- if you want to go to U of I or COD, you're set. If you're interested in other state schools, or a few nearby privates, they can help. Otherwise, the counselors are clueless. Overall, though, this place was a great fit for me.

I have not written a Yelp review for several years but felt compelled to present another view of Hadley. First, the review is from 2011 and focuses on the enrollment and a chaotic lunchroom. With regard to enrollment, Hadley does indeed have a large student population. However, the large enrollment has not been a factor for my children. The Administration, counselors and teachers seem to have a very strong handle on all of it, the building runs smoothly and is staffed by incredibly competent and outstanding educators and professionals. With regard to the characterization of the lunch period, I do know there have been significant changes in the lunchroom, including grouping of each grade in a specific lunch period. Moreover, it is a junior high lunchroom, its going to be "chaotic" simply by definition. Hadley is a strong part of our education community and Steve Diveley and his team should be commended for making 2018 Hadley an outstanding example of how a school with a large enrollment should run.

Point of view for every grade…read more In sixth grade it's slow dragged out and boring. The teachers are neutral but it depends what side you decide to get on for them. It's the best grade there is but that's it a compliment. Seventh grade This grade is a train wreck from many angles. The teachers can be really strict and snap on out for no reason but to do it. Every quarter there's a reward for "skills" but they went beyond doing four they did about 10 and it got washed out and annoying. Eighth grade The grade is filled with expectations and lost assignments. The teachers are average to good but a small percentage of them can be hypocritical strictish and abusing of their power. But the assignments are kinda pointless but to only help prepare for high school. The students are average and the grades that they get are good the school can teach kids but In a inefficient way but the students are the best part of the school with most of them in above average classes.
