Makes me feel all nostalgic for the days long-gone when we lived in huts and baked our own bread. It's best if you get in first thing in the morning when the loaves are all steaming and crumbly.. the sausage rolls are made fresh all throughout the day, presumably because they sell well. They're just so crusty and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Plus, at only $2, it's well worth it. Now I know I go on about sausage rolls (deal with it), but The Crusty Loaf also has plenty of other baked goods to satisfy you. Croissants (which I love), bread (of course), spinach and feta rolls, quiches, and pies. Definitely worth a visit for a fresh loaf of bread in the morning, or a snack in the afternoon.

Once you walk through the door, you blink as you wonder at the ease of transportation to the heart of Darlinghurst. The handcrafted, artisan style chocolate? Dangerously delicious. The coffee? Best in a 20km-radius, hands down. And it's not just me raving about this café. They were awarded 'one cup' in the SMH's Good Café Guide - the only café west of Parramatta for that matter.
