This is a simply fantastic place to be, especially for a foggy Sunday drive through the magnificent Wicklow Mountains and through Sally Gap. The cyclists of all sorts come through and defrost, dry off, and the coffee is superb and offered by a friendly smiling staff. Plus local artist prints of cow faces that are irresistible, on sale for a mere 20e - a true bargain. The scone was lovely, too. But my most favorite part is the stories on the wall. The story of Irish embrace of war orphans (or functionally so in the case of German families too sick or otherwise devastated by post-war poverty) is beautiful, and told in part by excerpts from the diaries of those fostered children. Amazing. And the coffee is really really good! And Im coming back for a sausage roll, a quiche and even a vegan brownie. Peace, love, reconciliation, great storytelling and coffee. SIGN ME UP. And you, too. read more
Wow this place is so relaxing and peaceful that I would love to go back again and spend more time getting to know the history of it glencree itself is in the heart of the Wicklow mountains and is only a short drive from The Sally Gap which in my opinion really has some of the most amazing scenic views in all of Leinster the only downsides are the quality of it is the road condition is not great and the other thing is people seem to fly along it so take care if your heading up to glencree or further on up to The Sally Gap read more

Nice location, don't eat in the cafe though, the food is awful and overpriced.
