The Sacramento River Bike/Walk Trail used to start here but they have since changed the trail name to the Dan Gorfain Trail (at least that part of the trail at the Bill Conlin Youth Sports Complex is named this). This place is always clean and there's always someone using the field. The field is nicely lit! I love this trail because it loops around to a trail along the Sacramento River and ends at Garcia Bend Park. If you run a little extra to the beginning of the park, it's a good 5k run! Then if you run back to the Bill Conlin Youth Sports Complex, it's a nice 10k! The trail is really flat and all concrete but has great views of the river! It's a nice work out and there are always people walking or biking. It has some shade but the whole way is not all shaded. Overall this is one of my favorite long running routes in Sacramento!

Built in 2008 this park offers a large playground with swings for the kids, a half basketball court, a covered structure gazebo with BBQ, open play area, and is also connected to walking trails on either side of the park . The only issues that I found were : location of the park was next to a busy intersection ! And parking was limited to street parking only. But over-all this is a lovely community park that offers it neighbors a safe and clean place for the kids to play, and for active adults with their miles of hiking trial. I will definitely be back in warmer weather to take advantage of their walking trials. A park that offers amenities for children and adults deserves a solid "3 Stars !"

I've seen him take a player with no experience to making their 6th grade basketball team. Another player that could barely make a 3 point shot if it could save his life, to scoring the most 3 in his division. Another player that was struggling in school and not qualified to play, to now getting a 3.0 GPA and leading the team and on his way to college. With Roburt Sallie, it's more than just training. He is extremely passionate and very much invested into each and every one of the kids he trains. His skills clinics and camps are giving what our community and youth need. A place to perfect your passion, while also keeping you safe and active. He typically has a skills clinic 2-3x a week split off into grades 1-5 and grades 6-12. $30 per 90 minute session. The first 60 minutes are usually skills training and the final 30 minutes playing in a tournament format. The camps are typically held during summer/winter. Always very well executed from the specialized training, games, special guests, etc. The facility itself is large and well maintained. Two full size courts and plenty of equipment. Roburt offers private, semi-private, group and team trainings. I personally have a 4 year old that has been with him for the last year. He is a bit on the younger side and can't necessarily shoot the ball into a standard height hoop, but he loves basketball! That being said, we want expose him to it as much as possible. In the last year he has gone from barely being able to dribble, to dribbling up and down the court with one hand, footwork, and basketball drills. While he doesn't play during the tournament style games at the end, he's able to keep up during the group trainings with the older kids that are grades 1-5. I can only imagine as he continues to train, the level he will be at once he actually gets to their age!

I'm writing to share some concerns I have about the youth basketball organization my grandson…read moreplayed for. While I did appreciate that the organization existed, I'm worried about the safety, fairness, and nonpositive lessons it's providing to the kids. This organization, its owners and the referees that they either employ, but say that they're volunteers should no longer be an existence. It's unfair to the children who are trying to build good basketball skills, good sportsman skills. One thing that's been a concern is that some of the owners are also the coaches. This dual role can make it hard to ensure everyone is treated fairly and impartially when it comes to team building. It seems like the referees are sometimes influenced by the coaches' aka owners instructions, which isn't ideal. This situation also puts the children at risk. When a child reports rough play or fouls, which are usually against the rules in other leagues, the organization's policy doesn't allow them to criticize the referees. Because of this, referees aren't held responsible for their actions, no matter how they play. I've seen firsthand how children can get hurt, scratched, and learn bad playing habits during games. These incidents really show how the organization isn't doing enough to look out for the kids. Plus, the organization's structure seems a bit biased. With multiple owners and coaches involved, there's a chance for favoritism and unfair treatment. Since there are so many great youth basketball programs in the Sacramento area, like Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, and Natomas, I would suggest thinking about other options for your child. Making sure your kids are safe and happy should be your main focus.

I see there's a lot of reviews saying the same thing so hopefully Laguna Creek Sports Club can work on that! The location of this gym is also nice because parking is never a problem. At other gyms I have been to, parking would be a pain sometimes because the gym would be in a shopping plaza.. which limited the parking for gym members. Laguna Creek Sports club is tucked away in a neighborhood and has plenty of parking, even when they have their big tennis events.

I'm very disappointed with how this club treats its swim team members…read more Although we pay both membership fees and swim team fees, swimmers are not allowed to use club towels, spa facilities, or the adult locker room, even when children are accompanied by adults and under supervision. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members. What is particularly frustrating is that these rules and differences in treatment were not clearly explained at the time of joining or during the sign-up process. Members are not made aware in advance that swimmers may be treated differently or have more restricted access compared to other members. There have also been repeated instances where a female parent has entered the boys' locker room many many times, which raises additional concerns about how locker room access rules are being enforced and managed. I have raised these issues with management, but they have not been addressed in a transparent or satisfactory way. If you are considering joining with children in the swim team, I would strongly recommend asking very specific questions about facility access and how policies are applied before committing.
