I used to work here and it was the most miserable year of my life. The owner expects staff to work long hours for very little pay and we frequently missed lunch breaks. She has no respect for her staff and shows them a very different face to the one she puts on for parents. There is very poor communication, staffs needs are not listened to and decisions are made without consultation. Many of my co-workers would fake sick days and cry in the bathroom, most of the original group I worked with have left, some even leaving childcare for good as a result of their bad experiences. I can honestly say that choosing Glenone for my childcare was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had initially put my son in another crèche and immediately knew it wasn't right and moved him, the comparison was unbelievable. Glenone is well run and the staff couldn't be better. The garden is a real asset and the children love the freedom and space to play. I'm content when my son is at crèche because I trust that he is receiving the best care possible and that is all we can wish for.
