I enjoyed Glittering Lights 2.5 miles of lights. Now we went 12.31.25 and enjoyed the lights/displays and most importantly NO line or crowds. Advantages of Visiting on New Years Eve eliminates the stress of long lines and impatience. Now if you happen to come out and visit to appreciate all the hard work that went into putting this great Christmas theme together I will tell you when they give you your receipt card to put on your dash make sure you scan the code this will sync you to the Christmas radio station just FYI. We enjoyed it thank you to the organizers

We have been wanting to go see the lights for a few years now and finally had a chance to do it. This is a fun holiday event to attend where you can drive and look at a variety of beautiful lights that are set up around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (you end up driving around the entire outside perimeter of the racetrack which is quite large). The nice thing it is one price for the entire carload, and you can bring your pets. They also have a few special evening where teachers, military and veterans get in free of charge with ID. The also sell snacks and drinks for a reasonable price at the beginning of the drive. Overall, we had a nice time looking at the lights and listening to the Christmas music.

If you like Christmas lights and you're in the Las Vegas area around Christmas time you need to come visit glittering lights! It was breathtaking how many beautiful lights they had set up. We took the tram and got to enjoy hot coco or cider with the best kettle corn. They even offered refills on the drinks! They also had Santa there for pictures and an ornament to remember the special night. It was a great time and we can't wait to come back when we visit Vegas next!

Tons of lights and you can really tell how much work went into putting everything together. The displays were festive, well done, and felt magical from start to finish. It was super fun for the kids, they were excited the whole time and didn't want it to end. The hot chocolate was delicious and a perfect touch for the chilly night. Overall, it was a great family friendly experience and definitely something we'd do again. Highly recommend for making fun holiday memories!

Went here for the first time last month and it was great. They charge by the car so you can stuff as many ppl in there as you want, lol. It was $39, and took us about 30-45 to drive through. This was the most beautiful Christmas light attraction I've ever seen. At the entrance you can purchase coco & popcorn. They tell you to turn off your headlights, then you start your self guided tour. It's on the speedway so pay attention to the winding road. You go at a very slow pace to take in the beautiful scenes, there are cars in front & behind you. You can stop briefly and take pics & video. We will definitely go again.

I've been wanting to check out this experience for many years & finally got to in Dec. 2024. I had read on Groupon that on the date I was going it was best to either go when they first open or closer to closing time due to long waits. We got there a little before 8pm. Not sure what time cars can't get in line because I couldn't find it posted anywhere. There was a line when we got there but we couldn't see the start of it & there was a worker telling us which line to get in based on what admission we were buying (GA). I had asked "how long is the wait?" and he said "2.5 hrs." My friend & I were like "what the heck?" to each other but the line was actually moving so I thought "maybe its really not 2.5 hrs?" Well guess what?!?!?!? He was right!! It took us that long to get to the entrance line. Then it took about 40 minutes to drive thru it, so we spent a lot of time here.....lol I like how they have port-a-potties along the way because they came in handy but man the one I popped in was so nasty. People are gross when they just want to throw stuff around inside of there, they do have trash cans outside that people can throw baby diapers in or whatever else they want so staff doesn't do a great job in keeping them clean from stuff all over the floor or next to the toilet seat. Once you get to the line to pay & purchase snacks there are "real" bathrooms which were so much nicer. You do have time to run over to one quickly due to the line hardly moving once your up at the front. Staff up front were nice. There was someone giving away 3 different jars of Taco Bell dips which was nice but when I got home & looked @ what they were they weren't anything I wanted to try. We also got a scratch ticket & I won a FREE medium size one topping pizza from Marco's. They also have some hot chocolate & popcorn for sale. We didn't purchase any snacks. The line once you were inside the lights did move nicely. There was a lot of advertisements for local business's which was kinda obnoxious. They did have some cute displays but unfortunately this event is a ONE & DONE for me. Going once is enough & I won't/need to come back again. I am glad that I finally got to experience it after all these years of wanting to go. I do suggest don't go close to Christmas or when they say wait times are longer on listed dates unless your OK with spending several hours there. It was almost 4hrs total & we were coming from Henderson (new hendo) too.

I got in this line today 12/13/25 at 7:30pm and currently it's 9:13 and as I sit in this lane, I have been passed by the left lane of cars and right side of cars probably a 100 cars . Whoever is directing traffic at the end of this lane to enter is doing a terrible job. Oh and they opened two more lanes to the far right . And trying to get out of this lane just to go home and forget this whole thing is impossible . There's only one lane to the furthest left and in which you can't get in to because there's not a lot of space . Don't waste your money here, go spend it somewhere else

I've have been coming here for many years. Display has always been long and enjoyable. The popcorn is delicious with 2 options to choose from and reusable hot chocolate with covers. I'm very impressed with the upgrades from previous years on the concessions. Until next year and so forth. You can ride in the back of the truck bed if you like, there's restrooms to use. No limit to people in your vehicle

So disappointed in the way that this business is handling their own mistake. Their " Veteran's Appreciation Night" has been advertised to be open to Veterans and Active duty, or in their own postings on social media "veterans and military with valid ID". Safe to assume that " and military" includes active duty as well right? To go even further, I will add photos from their own website that clearly states "This special evening honors veterans and active-duty military with FREE entry to Nevada's premier Christmas light show." Knowing all of this information, can someone explain to me why several active duty family members were turned away at the entrance on Veterans Day 11/11/2024? Only after waiting in line for so long, no information posted anywhere on the premises that it was a veterans only night. Finally pulling up to the front to be told sorry it's only for veterans today? Confusion, that's not what your website or social media accounts say. While I appreciate that the offer of free entry is even available to military families, I am extremely disappointed that the entire team of this business were not on the same page with information and couldn't find a better way to tell us this before we made the whole trip over. There were other families expressing their disappointment and some who said they had no issues getting in when showing their active duty ID? Nobody is on the same page, clearly. To make matters worse, Glittering lights started to respond to everyone leaving comments the next day with the same copy and paste generic message. I'd also like to point out that Veteran's Day is to honor those who have served, and are currently serving, in the U.S. military.

Glittering Lights was the right way to start off the holiday season. The staff is friendly, we truly appreciated the military night, and it's a good light show. It is a good length and it's neatly put together. Would come back!

Oh boy! I've lived here 23 years and I had never been to Glittering Lights! We had a great time, it's so beautiful and the employees were the nicest people! So helpful and kind! Great energy and a cool experience! I'm going every year now! We went on Christmas Day (evening) and it was a very short wait, maybe 15 minutes to get to the entrance. Sounds like the key is to go on Christmas to beat the crowd!

If you like Christmas lights, this is your go to. You tune your radio or phone to HoHo Radio and drive through the display. The route winds around Las Vegas Motor Speedway going under and around the grandstands and around the sides and by motor home hill. Over 5 million lights give you something to see and enjoy. Favorites are the displays under the grandstands and the light tunnels on the back side of the track. Have driven my cars, a golf cart and one of the trams through the display and see something new almost every trip. It is very organized and well run. Snacks are available at the entrance. Best of all is part of your admission fee goes to Speedway Children's Charities. New displays every year so make Glittering Lights an annual family tradition.

We've been wanting to go to Glittering Lights for several years now but just haven't been able to, so we were all super excited to make it happen this year!. I bought tickets online and we loaded up our car and went for some holiday fun and cheer. We got there at about 5:45 on Monday the 16th, a bit confusing on where to go but we found the entrance and had a very short wait. As we were told to go ahead and enter, there was a car ahead of us with flashers on so we waited behind. The only person with a vest and wand was not directing traffic and just walking around. Several cars went around and I finally got the guy's attention as he was walking away and asked if I could go. He said "yea man go ahead" and continued to walk away. Meanwhile cars were just driving around and there was no guidance. Once we entered the initial area was quite nice with lots of lights and great theme with the Grinch. We did notice right away that there was so many advertisements for businesses. As we continued through the drive, the themes were odd and off the holiday and Christmas spirit we were expecting. There were dinosaurs and many other off topic displays like fairy tail and other non Christmas or holiday themes. The advertisements were prevalent and really overshadowed everything else. Every couple of displays there were several ads for lawyers, restaurants, casinos and more. Even our kids asked why so much of that. And only a couple even said happy holidays from...so and so. Sure they raise money for charity, but it's way too much and takes away from the reason we go. The overall lights were nice, but most displays had us guessing what they were supposed to be and lacking detail and clarity. The other note is that the music was not coordinated with your drive. We were told to tune in to Sunny 106.5 which plays Christmas music but they always do so nothing special there either. We've been to several of these drive throughs and this has been the most disappointing, especially with all the hype. I think there is a fantastic opportunity here, especially with the location and amount of area they have to work with, but they really miss the mark here. When sponsorship is more important than the spirit and experience then something is wrong. If you really need the advertising then how about put them all at the end with a special thanks to them all. I see most responses they focus on how much they donate, and how sponsors help. I'd gladly pay a bit more if their donation efforts were more prevalent and they upgraded their displays and experience. Get rid of all the ridiculous ads. I recommend they take a look at the quality of the experience and focus on the true Christmas spirit. Until then, we will not return or recommend. Sorry Glistening Lights, appreciate your efforts but you need to regroup and refocus.

I came to Vegas back in September of 2021 for this festival and made some amazing memories throughout all of it. They made you either upload your vaccine information so you could just quickly be scanned inside, or you had to have a Covid test done at their specific facility. They also had an app that showed the food places, art exhibit, and band stage locations and times. It was really helpful to have that app on me the entire time. The music was fantastic. The food was some of the best food I've had. I didn't expect festival food to be that great, but they brought in some great food trucks, and local chefs/restaurants for this event. I wish I had eaten a lot more of it there, but the prices were fairly spendy. Overall, you have to try the food and drinks there. They had some grassy areas for you to sit and nap on too which we definitely took advantage of all that. Overall, Life is Beautiful is a great festival and I definitely recommend it.

I still am not sure how they decide which Saturday they are going to do this event. I've been the day after First Friday and I've been in the middle of the month. Part of the reason this gets 5 stars from me is that I live at The Ogden, so I literally walk down stairs from my place and BAM! Food Truck heaven. plus I like the addition of the local vendors selling their hand crafted wares. I'm not gonna buy most of it because its just not my style, but I'm all about small local vendors getting their shot. There's always a few regulars and a few change-ups each month. You can almost always count on Slidin Thru and Grouchy John's but the rest vary from month to month. And it's always a good mix of people in attendance. It's an all ages event so it usually draws that same crowd you see at First Friday, & it's FREE to get in so if you are in the area there is definitely no good reason to not check it out. My one main complaint is that there's around 4 or 5 tables total for the event. Therefore, there is always that awkward time after buying the food of walking around trying to find some place to post up and eat. For an event with as many attendees as this tends to get, and as much extra room as they have in the parking lot, whoever is in charge needs to get on this. It's a tiny little omission that would make a huge difference in the quality of the event.

At first I thought there would only be 3 or 4 because there weren't that many getting set up, but then it turned out to be at least 9 or 10. There were also three balloons in the sky that launched from another location. So, it's not a huge festival, but it's free and definitely a cool thing to see up close. I'm glad that we got to go and we even ran into Teri C. and her family there. A perfect way to start a beautiful October morning in Las Vegas. You should definitely go next year; we will be back. Up, up, and away!

My mom even crewed for several of the balloon teams through out the years growing up. They took off from our backyard where we got to help with all of it, "earning" our rides. Thank you to Yelp for bringing this event to my attention! I couldn't get up for the launches, dang it I like sleeping but we did make it down for the Glow on Saturday night. I was so excited to show the BF a piece of my childhood! It was an awesome to reminisce and though this was a far stretch of what the Balloon Classic is, only five balloons at the Glow tonight, it is enough to satisfy an old memory. The Glow is where the hot air balloons inflate and tether, stay to the ground, and hit their propane fueled guns to light up the balloons. They do waves and random light ups and popcorn, where they do short bursts. It's a cool thing to see and a great picture shots! Now imagine more of them! That's how the Balloon Classic is. I think now I'll try to make my way to Albuquerque next year to experience it! Thanks again Yelp! Another reason you're fantastic!

The 2026 Great American Foodie Fest was and is being held at Desert Breeze Park in Vegas May 8, 9,…read more& 10. (I suggested edit on Yelp). I HIGHLY SUGGEST going general admission for this one. Also as a side note don't purchase your tickets in advance like I did. It is better to pay a few dollars more and decide you don't want to walk around a festival in 100F heat. I went VIP and now am sorry I did. First of all this is the most unorganized food festival that I have ever been too. We had to stand in line to get wrist bands. Then as soon as we got wrist band we had to stand in another line to wait to get in. Then we had to stand in yet ANOTHER line to get our VIP food tickets. Also on the way to stand in the Food Ticket line there were countless trip hazards. (the most I have ever seen anywhere!) THE PROBLEM WITH VIP IS THAT IT LIMITS YOU TO ONLY CERTAIN VENDERS. YOU ALSO NEED A CELL PHONE to bring up a map of the event and it also lets you know what VIP Venders that you can try. You also need to GRAB A SEAT FAST because covered seating is very limited and fills up FAST. Then I hope you are OK with LOUD Music. The music they play is uncomfortably LOUD. Another problem with VIP is that YOU DON'T GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. After three plates I was full and didn't want anymore food. We just wanted to leave. That said and ANYWAYS - The food I tried was good. I wish plates were smaller so I could have stomach room to try more things. I think what I enjoyed most was that my husband figured out the locations of certain food trucks and brought back the foods to our seats. I also enjoyed watching a young man (like 15 or 16 years old) air drumming and be-bopping to an extended version of Rod Steward's Do You Think I'm Sexy. I wonder if he knew that was a fifty year old song? Then Abba's Dancing Queen filled the air and he went cold. That was entertaining. Got lucky and had a close parking spot. Good Luck!

The Las Vegas Halloween Parade

Haven't you always wanted to be in a parade but lacked a float? The float-barrier makes your…read moreaverage parade rather elitist. You are relegated to a spectator even if you know you're true parade material, and this is why I love the Halloween Parade! All you need is a costume, and you too can be IN the parade. You can even win a prize in one of the multiple costume categories. The parade attracts all types from Burning Man veterans to curious tourists to sweet transvestites to families... yes, all types are welcome and all types march proudly! If you're an overachiever, you can create an art car or a float, but it's not necessary. (Although that is on my bucket list: to have an art car or float in the Halloween Parade!) Of course, if you prefer spectating, that's an option too. There is plenty to look at. This year one of my favorites was an illuminated fishing boat and hooked fish. The fish was built around a scooter, and the scooter was pulling a little trailer with a boat. Ingenious cuteness at its best! Every year on Halloween it happens whether it's a Monday or a Saturday, so you never have an excuse to stay at home or be without a costume! It's true local flavor at its best.

There were a lot of fire breathing art cars on display after the parade, and at the end of one area the Dancetronauts had a stage and a large crowd. Their stage was pretty sweet, with smoke ring blower, lazers, lights and gogo dancers. The other larger art cars had their own dj and sound system too, so music everywhere you went. All the bars around the area were packed, and most people were in costumes. Very fun night that can me completely FREE if you so chose to. There are food trucks and stands around that you can get food at if you're hungry, and they even had bars set up around the area and most I saw had little to no line. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was bc the final party area could be a little larger. Hopefully next year will be even bigger.

My wife and kids were next in line and were about to get on when one of the employees went around asking people to wait until 9pm when the fireworks would be going off. My kids were getting restless and didn't care to wait so they decided to go on anyway. The ride is supposed to last for 10 mins but they were only at the top for only 2-3 mins. The guy on the ride felt bad and told my wife and kids they could stay on since they were only on it for a couple mins but the lady who was working the line and operating the ride ushered them off as quick as she could. When my wife asked for an explanation why their ride was cut short, she said they promised a bunch of people they would get to go on and see the fireworks and that they wouldn't fit. She also said she spoke to her in a very condescending way. The rest of the main experience again in the main building was pretty awesome. Arcade was great, VR attractions were fun. This last interaction was just a really bad way to end the night.
