The event was well organized and fun. They gave us our own glass to sample everything and gave us coins to choose our favorites. Welton forward to going back to the event next year. All of the vendors were so nice. It was just a little warm. There were so many non beer drinks and im gluten intolerant but wanted to go with a friend. Well worth it.

After a 2 year hiatus (thanks Covid) the Fest returned to Downtown Summerlin on March 19. The crowds showed up- I waited about an hour to get in, the event started at 2. I heard they ran out of glasses at 4:30. Waiting an hour in line seemed excessive! Weather was nice, luckily. Prices for the fest are usually $30-$40 in advance, and $5 more at the door. There was a good variety of brewers at the fest, and some had quite a line, some none and others were tolerable. Some local brewers were in attendance, including Lovelady and Ellis Island. There were also some non-beer bevvies, including energy drinks and a NA beer. One booth had coffee and mango cream liquor, which was very good. Ninkasi Brewing canned cocktails were my favorite! This is a charity event, with proceeds going to New Vista. According to their Web site, New Vista is a non-profit organization that supports and empowers youth and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The site also states that Brew's Best is the longest running open-air beer fest in Southern Nevada. Food was available, I saw one large food truck with wings, a cookie stand and a frozen treat cart. It's a fun afternoon and great way to sample a lot of different brews while supporting New Vista.

I got my pass online for $25 which is $5 cheaper if you bought it on event day. The event was from 2-6pm but my friend and I got there an hour late - that's an hour or precious beer time less! We couldn't find parking so we ended up parking on dirt and were hoping the car wouldn't end up in the lake. We were greeted by long lines to the porta-potties. Lots of people at the beer fest. Was it beer fest or beard fest? Either way, I enjoyed this event. $25 for all-you-can-drink beer? That's a no-brainer! Deschutes, Abita, Banger Brewing, Mission, Lagunitas, Khourys, Moab Brewery, Ellis Island, Coronado Brewing, Wirtz, Grand Canyon Brewing and Copa di Vino were the ones I sampled...that I can remember. Sin City Wings and Sausagefest food truck were also there. All that drinking made me hungry. There was a band playing and I just love Lake Las Vegas and they couldn't have picked a better venue. IPA, orange wit, pale ale, amber ale, hefeweizen, etc. Everyone was happy, drinking and having a good time. Nobody was giving off negative vibes. I think the lady at Abita had been drinking too. Instead of getting rid of the beer in my cup to pour new beer in, she just poured new beer with my old beer. It was an interesting blend. By the end of the night, we had people doing boxing and yoga with us.

Better than I expected. I have been wanting to attend a beer fest for quite some time, so when the opportunity arose to possibly win free tickets, I was the first person to put my hat in the ring. Winner winner, chicken dinner. My fella and I traveled all the way down to Lake Las Vegas and we were thrilled with the entire event. We arrived before it got too busy. The lines for tickets were long, but they went quickly. Cash is the best bet, since the line moves so much quicker. Once we got our brew fest cup we were off and running. We tried so many different brews, I couldn't even keep track. The event was well organized and well spaced out. I think that was my favorite part. People congregated in central locations but no area was too overly crowded or claustrophobic. They had a nice little band playing in the park area as well, that livened up the festivities. I enjoyed trying a lot of local breweries that I haven't had the opportunity to check out yet as well as out of state brewers that I was curious about as well. Great event and I'm looking forward to checking it out again in another six months. Big shout out to fellow Yelpers that we met up while we were there! It made the day that much better!

With the Ragnar race ending here, it was a nightmare to get to the fest, but totally worth it. Super friendly people and great brews! A great time!!

Aces and Ales! Always the best place to grab a beer in Vegas!

I came to Vegas back in September of 2021 for this festival and made some amazing memories throughout all of it. They made you either upload your vaccine information so you could just quickly be scanned inside, or you had to have a Covid test done at their specific facility. They also had an app that showed the food places, art exhibit, and band stage locations and times. It was really helpful to have that app on me the entire time. The music was fantastic. They had so many different bands and artists that covered different genres. Billie EIlish, Green Day, All Time Low, Illenium, A$AP Rocky, etc. They had stand up shows being done by Trevor Wallace and other comedians. This part was absolutely amazing. The food was some of the best food I've had. I didn't expect festival food to be that great, but they brought in some great food trucks, and local chefs/restaurants for this event. I wish I had eaten a lot more of it there, but the prices were fairly spendy. Overall, you have to try the food and drinks there. They had some grassy areas for you to sit and nap on too which we definitely took advantage of all that. Overall, Life is Beautiful is a great festival and I definitely recommend it.

Hands down it was the best darn taco and I will be hankerin for another till I find them out and about again! We all were completely impressed. The chickie in the front with the totally cute accent was helpful and such a sweetheart. Headed over to Sauced for the Big Easy Balls with Srirachi sauce. I had been told these are most awesome and I wanted to see for myself. Chicken and Rice formed into a ball and fried. Amazeballs! Talking about forgetting your diet for the night... The vibe is pretty chill, everyone standing around juggling their drinks and food.....BECAUSE there is nowhere to sit other than a gross street ledge which I refused to sit. I see people complaining in the reviews regarding the downtown parking prices and some of the hotel garages just need your ticket validated inside the hotel before you leave-free parking peeps. Its not a secret or maybe it is. Anyways, what is better than cheap eats, flowin drinks, music and art? The whole night as usual with StrEATS was a success! =)

I still am not sure how they decide which Saturday they are going to do this event. I've been the day after First Friday and I've been in the middle of the month. Part of the reason this gets 5 stars from me is that I live at The Ogden, so I literally walk down stairs from my place and BAM! Food Truck heaven. plus I like the addition of the local vendors selling their hand crafted wares. I'm not gonna buy most of it because its just not my style, but I'm all about small local vendors getting their shot. There's always a few regulars and a few change-ups each month. You can almost always count on Slidin Thru and Grouchy John's but the rest vary from month to month. And it's always a good mix of people in attendance. It's an all ages event so it usually draws that same crowd you see at First Friday, & it's FREE to get in so if you are in the area there is definitely no good reason to not check it out. My one main complaint is that there's around 4 or 5 tables total for the event. Therefore, there is always that awkward time after buying the food of walking around trying to find some place to post up and eat. For an event with as many attendees as this tends to get, and as much extra room as they have in the parking lot, whoever is in charge needs to get on this. It's a tiny little omission that would make a huge difference in the quality of the event.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST going general admission for this one. Also as a side note don't purchase your tickets in advance like I did. It is better to pay a few dollars more and decide you don't want to walk around a festival in 100F heat. I went VIP and now am sorry I did. First of all this is the most unorganized food festival that I have ever been too. We had to stand in line to get wrist bands. Then as soon as we got wrist band we had to stand in another line to wait to get in. Then we had to stand in yet ANOTHER line to get our VIP food tickets. Also on the way to stand in the Food Ticket line there were countless trip hazards. (the most I have ever seen anywhere!) THE PROBLEM WITH VIP IS THAT IT LIMITS YOU TO ONLY CERTAIN VENDERS. YOU ALSO NEED A CELL PHONE to bring up a map of the event and it also lets you know what VIP Venders that you can try. You also need to GRAB A SEAT FAST because covered seating is very limited and fills up FAST. Then I hope you are OK with LOUD Music. The music they play is uncomfortably LOUD. Another problem with VIP is that YOU DON'T GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. After three plates I was full and didn't want anymore food. We just wanted to leave. That said and ANYWAYS - The food I tried was good. I wish plates were smaller so I could have stomach room to try more things. I think what I enjoyed most was that my husband figured out the locations of certain food trucks and brought back the foods to our seats. I also enjoyed watching a young man (like 15 or 16 years old) air drumming and be-bopping to an extended version of Rod Steward's Do You Think I'm Sexy. I wonder if he knew that was a fifty year old song? Then Abba's Dancing Queen filled the air and he went cold. That was entertaining. Got lucky and had a close parking spot. Good Luck!
