Glitterville is open again! I was so excited when I heard the news. Going to Glitterville feels like something akin to visiting Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The golden grille over the front door window masks what you are about to experience and the cool antique twist mechanical doorbell used to gain entry also lends to the mystique and anticipation. When the door is opened, your eyes almost take in all the amazing ornaments, figures, and almost any kind of artistic thing-a-ma-bob you can imagine. Who needs Willy Wonka when you have the creativity of Stephen Brown all fit into a tiny, but incredible space! I love love love stepping into this world. I also love sharing this world with my family and friends through the things I buy for them. There is something for every budget. Will I return? Yes! What a fabulous, whimsical, over-the-top rainbow explosion. And I. LOVE.IT. After eating at Balter, we crossed the street to Glittervllle and entered a whole new world. You have to be buzzed in and enter the magic inside. Note that this is not a huge, mass produced storefront. This is the handmade masterpieces and vision of one man. As his work became more popular, he decided to open this small space to the public. Some reviewers have commented on the high prices but honestly, the prices are fair for hand-crafted, unique pieces that would bring someone joy and make them say "wow!" There is color as far as the eye can see with unicorns, rainbows, mermaids, sequins, small tables with candy themed stems, colorful glasses/plates/ornaments/silverware, candle sticks, garland....you name it. This would be an amazing spot to shop for gifts, a small child's (or child at hearts) room, and for Christmas tree decor. I can't wait to go back. What a unexpected surprise this little store was! I stumbled upon Glitterville while searching for parking on a busy Saturday afternoon. Having known absolutely nothing about it, its business or purpose, I was just amazed at the gorgeous papier mache unicorns and all the splendid colors! If I had a little girl to buy for, this would be my first stop. I loved how consistent the look was throughout the shop, as if it were fashioned after a magical shop from a fantasy book. For example, the unicorns have a particular look - the face and style are unique - and you'll find them the same whether you see them as a stuffed animal, in a snowglobe, or a'top a magic wand. It's not something you can buy from Amazon or shipped from overseas. No. This is an artist's vision brought to life, and if you are looking for something generic, you won't see it here. Truly, you have to just look at all the pictures to get the idea of how special a place this is. If I lived closer to Knoxville, I'd make frequent visits to Glitterville just to see the latest creativity on display. Do you want to feel cheered or amazed by someone's talent? A few things that are great to know! Everything in this store is designed by an artist and then handmade! Everything is cute and the theme changes with the seasons! I had to pick something for mom because who doesn't want to share joy! All the employees wear hot pink and greet you at the door (you have the ring the bell to get in). I had seen a gentleman from Glitterville on a local news station years ago and loved the crafts he showcased on a budget. I was finally able to visit the establishment with my 10 year old niece 1/21/23 and we we're unfortunately disappointed. I had to announce "Hello" upon arrival and was barely acknowledged. The employee didn't speak to us during our 10 minute time browsing. Small business, very beautiful ornaments,very beautiful window display, beautiful Christmas decorations and very whimsical. Sticker shock to say the least, I couldn't find one item to commemorate our visit under $25, most items $50 and above. Example: Dog bandanna $26, PJ's enclosed in a bag $113 ( couldn't tell what they truly looked like). It's a beautiful photo selfie environment but other than that I'm not sure of the purpose. read more

Disappointed after finally making it to Glitterville. The showroom is small, with some ornaments and disposable party plates and cups. I was offered no help by the staff member on duty. I saw other rooms with additional items and asked if the front room was the entire store, and she just said yes. No explanation of what the business is other than the small store area. I'm guessing maybe they style events or something and what I could see were the staging areas? We may never know. I had expected this to be a place to find seasonal and celebratory party supplies, and it's not really that. I don't even know that I can say what it is. in the best way possible, this place looks like a christmas unicorn walked in and threw up everywhere. it's exactly what you should expect from a place called glitterville. i loved it so much! the two employees i encountered were very kind and polite, and i found exactly what i was looking for while shopping. they even packaged up my purchases in a bright pink bag and gold tissue paper! everything in there is very cute, and reasonably priced. i will be going back read more
