I would put that their district manager was great in finding a flexible rate for our unique shift work schedules. However a few things must be highlighted that were disturbing. Each child receives a box to put spare clothes, creams etc. I once picked up my child, with other kids dirty laundry in her box. When I asked the staff members whose it was, they responded to just leave it in the corner. They obviously changed the child to who the clothes belonged to. Yet they seemed to be very half hazard in their care of whose clothes, where it should go and overall positive control. Another incident occurred when I picked up my child and she smelled of cigarettes, albeit lightly. I in no way believe that someone was smoking with my child, but it was apparent that the staff member had a cigarette and when finished proceeded to hold my child, therefore causing the smell on her clothes. LASTLY AND MOST DISTURBING They use and application called "Precious Status" in which the faculty members update you child's naps, feedings, etc. We received five status updates of my child's routine one morning, yet our kid was NOT at school. The teachers select the child's name not the parents, so it is apparent that the staff member was repeatedly and deliberately choosing my child's name to update another baby. That lack of attention to detail in baby identification seems particularly disturbing .

My son had some bad experiences at another daycare and it made him really scared to go to any daycare. On the first day he tried it out he didn't want to leave and it's been that way ever since. I have been with this daycare for 3 years and I'm very satisfied with my experience. The staff is wonderful, welcoming, understanding and very helpful. The director Danielle is amazing!! She's understanding and anything you have an issue with or anything you need you can talk to her. My son has many favorite teachers but Mrs. Adriana is the BEST! Shes an amazing teacher and care taker. This daycare also works with an app that allows the teachers to tell me how his day is going with pictures and I can see the schedule for the day. When my son was younger and still potty training I got updates when he used the potty as well! I also loved the safety they had. Every room has a camera so the director can see what's going on in each classroom. Both the door to enter the building and the door to go to the hallway to get to the kids have a code on it, double security so not anyone can just get in. You get a lovely tour of the place and on the holidays they do special crafts and parties. They do before school and after school care and pick up kids at school too. They also do class pictures and "school" portraits so you can purchase lovely photos of your child. Again I can not recommend this place enough! If your thinking about it , take the tour because you get all the information you need and you won't regret it.

The next day I received a call saying he had no place in the camp and was being placed on the waitlist, but I would know soon whether there was an opening. No one called me for several weeks. The day before camp started, I called them again to ask if he had a space; he still did not, so I asked for a refund. More than another week went by and the full charge was still on my credit card. When I called them again, they said they would be issuing a refund via a mailed check and I could expect it to take another 4-6 weeks. They also slipped a third, additional charge as a "processing fee" onto my credit card. No one has given me a consistent answer or been upfront about why they promoted openings and allowed me to register for a camp that was full, or why they find it acceptable to hold my money for more than 2 months instead of reversing the credit card charge. Some loose research shows the parent company is based out of Hong Kong. Buyer beware on this school.

I love Goddard's use of the Tadpoles app where I get daily pictures and updates about sleep and activities like the babies going for a ride outside in the buggy, playing with bubbles, reading circle etc. I couldn't imagine better teachers, there are two for the six infants and there's a shift change midday. They're all extremely capable and work a lot to help develop motor skills (i.e. encourage tummy time, sitting, crawling). They care so much about the babies and clearly love their job. It's such a relief to have a safe and loving place to drop our guy off at everyday! Great care is expensive, but it's worth it for my family. Claim a spot early, we signed up about six months in advance!

The staff is wonderful and has worked so hard to make the school and the programs better and better with each passing year. They are kind and clear and I've come to really enjoy seeing their smiling faces in the morning. The teachers my two sons have had have all been amazing, unique and passionate and when my children are with them, my mind is at ease. My older son - who has recently rejoined the school for "Summer Camp" with some of his buddies - did the kindergarten program last year as a Farmer with Mr. Juan and he went into his current school so well prepared in both reading and math that he was able to focus on the other huge changes that come with switching schools. More people interact with our son, but these are the primary people I have gotten to know. KinderCare has been extra cautious and supportive during the COVID-19 crisis. However, as time has worn on, it seems like the true colors of the school has shown themselves. The owners of the School (in particular Jill) seems to be all about the money. I don't understand how they can justify increasing the costs each & every single year (when they already charge an arm and a leg for tuition across the board) & they say it's due to them losing their talented teachers to the local Public Schools. Jill thinks throwing more & more money at the Teachers will make them want to stay at Goddard. I think the reality is why don't you create a better culture and focus more on the environment for the Teachers to be happy in. They even created a Kindergarten program for the first time this year. Instead of the classroom being located inside of the building, they added a Trailer outside of the building next to the Playground. It seemed as though the class was totally separate from the School itself (literally & figuratively). There were also many times throughout the year when we received conflicting messages/emails between the Goddard School & the Kindergarten classroom on different activities & events. At times, this caused us confusion and many emails/phone calls to the school to determine what was really going on. If you are looking for a quality Pre-School located in Urbana, I would HIGHLY recommend going with Kid's Villa Learning Center. Save yourself the money & the headaches

This is our little one's first year at Goddard (Urbana) and we could not be more please. I thought…read moremoving to a new town and a new school would be a bit overwhelming for her, but with Goddard's help she took it all in stride. They embraced our little granddaughter and the responsibility for her learning care with all the gusto we could hope for in those charged with caring for her for a significant part of her day. Now five, she gets up each day knowing and excited that something new and different awaits her. Learning is everywhere and concern for her well being is front and center. Be it their attentiveness to her numerous allergies or their proactive eye towards seeing that she is in the right level and with the right classmates so that she continues to be challenged, the school is a great fit for our always curious grand baby. An added bonus has been the daily sharing by email of her progress as she navigates a balance of guided work and learning play that the curriculum affords each student. I'm confident she has been well served and will be more than kindergarten ready in the fall, but her time at Goddard will not have ended there. Being just steps away from her new primary school, we will be taking advantage of Goddard's before and after care program giving us the reassurance that she has a safe and nurturing place to get homework out of the way and be with friends until we come to collect her. We've never had second thought about enrolling her.
