It was amazing to see how a bank could be constructed, seemingly, overnight. The bank I'm speaking of is the Ridgewood Savings Bank at 2520 East 17th Street near Avenue Y (next door to Petco and across from Super Stop & Shop). I kept stopping by every now and then to find out when they would be having their grand opening. This is the WORST banking experience I have ever had. I spent more than three hours in the bank…read moretrying to work with their interpretation of a banking application. The situation got more and more ridiculous. I'd swear they were making it up as they went along. I spoke with four bank employees and not one got the application correct. Not one!!! Seems that they have to work really hard to be that awful at their jobs. I have truly never experienced such absolutely ridiculous incompetence at any other bank. This branch is a horrible joke on Citibank customers. Not one person at the branch actually knew how to do anything remotely related to actual banking procedure and paperwork. They also didn't seem to care if the paperwork was correct or incorrect. I don't think they cared about anything. Just showing up to get paid. Enjoyed nosing through my paperwork, commenting on its contents. But actually engaging in any thought and work, no way, not happening at the Sheepshead Bay branch. Moronic, ridiculous, and incompetent best describes the experience. Awful, simply awful.
