What a disgusting response. Where did the money thing come from? We were willing to pay over 3 grand per month. We also had no deadline for moving. I did not name the building or the super as the review was about Eileen's services, and I do not want to give direct information in this particular review about anything other than the experience with your Realty because that's what this review is about. If Eileen looks at her ignored email from last year, she'll know who we are anyhow. Ironically, last night I was looking at photos of this apartment to be sure we had some of a particularly bad issue that was not fixed before we moved in (just in case they try to blame it on us), and I found screenshots of communications with Eileen. I would ask direct questions, and she wouldn't answer them - she would be vague and never give the info asked for - then she would tell us to make a decision when we still didn't know what the information we needed was. Amazing. Your response speaks volumes about your business, and you should either fix the issues with your business or simply keep quiet rather than making your company look bad by being so rude in response to a factual review. She was ready to sale her a place as a family, knowing that the building had real problems which will handicap her for some time as a family. We kept asking so many questions but these problems were never related to us We were provided the information by tenants when we came back on our own and asked questions and we thank them for that I cannot believe that these people can be so hungry for money that they will rent you anything not caring about one's children's well being and safety. Worked with Harry Cisneros who was a little disorganized but got me into my apartment (which he owned himself and was also the broker for). I had looked at it and more than a few weeks later contacted him to see if it was still available to which he responded, "YES take it!" I took care of the place for 3 years like it was my own, when he came by after my move-in he even complimented how great the place looked. (when I moved it the bathroom was not clean, covered in hair and a few things didn't work) When it came time to pay my second months rent, he asked me pay him in cash, "Well because you know why" he stated. I had to refer to my lease which states I can pay by check. He grumbled about it but accepted my checks moving forward. While Harry got the broken bathroom light fixed for me, when it came time to move out, he turned into a different person. He was extremely pressuring to enter my apartment without my knowledge and show it to potential renters, without me being home, which I explained I felt uncomfortable with. He made appointments that I took time off of work to make and he never called or showed. Needless to say he had some cheesy @gmail.com lawyer write to me and say I didn't deserve my deposit back because of reasons he never brought up while I was living there (and were untrue) and saying there was damage to the apartment and it wasn't cleaned before I left. I left the apartment in better condition than when I moved in and the accusation that it wasn't cleaned or had any damage, was completely false. When I provided Harry with my notice letter about moving out, I provided him with up to date photos of the apartment to help him rent it, he used them on multiple sites, so I guess he didn't think it was in such bad condition after all. He also tried to say that because he couldn't find a new renter for the apartment, that he was entitled to my deposit (even though it took him months to rent it out after me because he raised the rent about $300 and it was not worth even what I paid) The only legal reason to keep a deposit in NYC is if unpaid rent was owed or if there was damage. Neither applied here, I had the photos and video to prove it - but Harry disappeared after I moved out instead of showing any professionalism. Sadly, I figured I would deal with this during move out because during my time in the apartment the building continuously wrote letters addressed to me, saying that Harry hadn't paid his dues to the building. He refused to do a final walkthrough with me because he knew he was going to keep my deposit. I feel bad that someone could so desperately need my $1,300 deposit but he definitely was a con-artist in the end. Lesson learned -- never rent from someone who is the broker and owner of the apartment. It will leave you with no advocate when they try to pull something like the above. This experience is based off of one agent: I have been doing heavy research and found that this office has a lot of access to most of the apartments I liked. Contacted Harry early morning, he took my information and waited for a call. At the end of the day I called the office to see what was going on, very nice receptionist, and he again, took my information and said to give him a day. Five days later no call-back. I understand that people are busy, but being a real estate agent is as important as a doctor, you place so much trust in this person because you believe that they know more than you, and that they really want to help you find a new home, but it seemed more obligatory than a passion. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I live in NY for over 10 years and have been used great brokers in the past. I have never met such an unprofessional person in my life! After viewing a few apartments with Yvonne and loosing some that have been "rented" I prepared all my documents and ready to go. Saw a nice apt that is still under total renovation but my past experience told me to take it and move on...so I did, immediately went to the office and hand to Yvonne $200 cash with all my documents. As I enter this office suddenly Yvonne stop being my agent and said that "I should speak with the boss" I started filling out the application and even before i was done...the "Boss" showed up chewing a gum in my face, (I was thinking hey, not the most professional attitude but lets not judge people right away). I shake his hand and introduce myself, handing on my personal docs and income (showing much more that needed to qualify for this apartment). Mr. Fink starting to say all kinds of agendas about his business, rentals etc (As a real estate professional myself for over 10 years I heard them all before but keep listening to him) when he was done I simply asked him to take a look at my paper work and try to proceed w/the application process BUT he keep giving me slogans form the baseball field !? Telling me everything possible except the real reason I am there = applying to rent an apartment and paying his broker fee. This guy simply rejected me from getting an apartment without even looking at my documents while he chewed his gum. He is a racist who rejects potential renters including myself. The day after I called to the management office and they told me any broker must present any application to them, As the building manger advised I called back to this broker office and asked to speak with the OWNER/BROKER Mr. Warren Fink, after the secretary asked me to hold on a minute a guy answer the phone saying he his the owner Mr. Warren Fink. After I tell him what the management told me to do he keep going on with more and more Excuses! I don't know how this guy sleeps at night, he thinks he is superior in the world and looks down upon anyone who has an accent and doesn't look white like him. This is an international city and if you guys is all about white supremacy you should stick to renting to KKK members. I feel bad for his over worked brokers, Yvonne was great but she has to deal with her boss and ultimately he holds the power. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS GUY OR HIS COMPANY. Good Luck! read more

I was looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for my adult son and a roommate and saw a posting for an apartment in my own building. Harry was the broker and he got back to me within an hour of requesting to see the apartment. While we were not able to get that apartment, Harry asked me if I was interested in an apartment in other buildings in Forest Hills. I said I was. He showed me a number of apartments on the north side of Queens Blvd until I found one that I really liked. Since my son and his roommate both receive support from an agency, due to their developmental disabilities, Harry had additional hoops to go through and it took a lot of time and back and forth phone calls to get approval from the state to get both men into the apartment. Harry was patient, he returned phone calls and texts and when we were not able to get the apartment I liked, he showed me the same unit on another floor that was being renovated. My son and his roommate moved in this weekend. The apartment is gorgeous and even better than the unit I was unable to get. Kitchen and bathroom have been totally renovated. The views from the bedrooms are fabulous. The doorman and supers have been wonderful. I am thrilled that Harry was able to get them into such a beautiful place where they can live safely and with dignity. I have recommended Harry to one of my colleagues already and will continue to do so. He was persistent and came through. read more

Looking for apartments in NYC when you're not a native is nerve-racking. You have to have money, a lot of time, and think on your feet...fast. I came to look for apartments from out of state and was having a bad luck the whole weekend. The day before my last day in NYC, I found a listing that was put online by Yvonne. She agreed to show me the apartment the same day I called her and I was able to apply for it as well. I remained in contact with her throughout the next week and she was very patient with me. She responded calmly to all of my frantic text messages and calls about my money/application process. I even briefly spoke to Warren and he assured me that everything would be okay, and it was. I was able to secure the apartment I wanted and will be moving there soon. I had the pleasure(sarcastic) of working with warren fink and Harry Cisneros, the initial process was smooth Harry showed my wife and myself a nice apartment in woodhaven, we paid the application fee and put down a good faith deposit of $400 this was Saturday October 6, we received our denial Thursday October 13, the delay in decision was due to Yom Kippur and Columbus Day both falling in the same week, which is understandable, Harry showed my wife and myself another apartment the same day that we received our denial for the woodhaven apartment, unfortunately it wasn't to our liking so we parted ways. Now, anyone that does real estate understands that if you are denied approval for an apartment after putting down a good faith deposit you are supposed to receive a refund, initially I was patient I didn't reach out to Harry asking about my refund until October 15, Harrys' response was that it takes 5-10 business days to process, I was still patient with Harry and the process, October 24 I contacted Harry again as I am getting aggravated at this point, Harry's response is that he's in Turks and Caicos, the entire time I told Harry that I am moving October 31, and was going away and I can come to the office to pick up my deposit. I contacted Harry once again October 31, 2016 in the afternoon and he first tells me that he sent my check in the mail that morning and claims that he sent me a text message that morning stating "my check was in the mail and sometimes people fall through cracks", instead of saying I'm sorry for the inconvenience, then a few hours later he sends me a text message saying do you want me to send it to your current address or to your job, now I'm not the smartest person in the world but if you told me earlier in the day that my check was in the mail why would you be asking me where to send it now? I would avoid doing good faith deposits with these guys at all cost, and it's a shame because outside of these guys trying to rip me off and lying to me about the whereabouts of my funds and Harry not taking careful enough procedure to ensure that my check was sent out BEFORE he went on vacation, it could have been a rather delightful experience. read more

THIS IS A SCAM!! There are barely any positive reviews on here for a reason. If you are looking for an unprofessional environment where hidden fees are through the roof and you'll never be approved or refunded, then CONGRATS this is the place for you. "Broker" Harry Cisneros owns the apartment I went to see and is on the Coop Board (facts I was not informed of until after writing a check, that he wanted written in HIS name not the company's) yet still requires a brokers fee, move in fee, "good faith deposit" that you'll never see again (and that he originally called a processing fee), and an additional processing fee online. I talked to multiple building managers who agreed that this was a racket. After a heated phone call consisting of him screaming at me because he felt he was being accused of being a crook when all that was asked of him was to explain the process and where the fees went to, he opted to take the offer off the table. If you're not doing anything wrong you should be able to explain the reasons for your fees. At least pretend you're a professional. I then inquired about receiving a refund for my "good faith deposit" and was told I would not get my processing fee back. When I pointed out that nothing was processed he, true to form, yelled at me that I would not receive a refund because I had wasted his time. I plan to take further action to get this resolved as I refuse to let this scam artist continue to get away with it. I've noticed the owner leaves nasty comments back to the countless people who do not approve of this sham of a company. Clearly the bar for professionalism is set at an all time low. read more

We met with Ron D. at Co-op connection and we were NOT happy. First off, he was charging us $500 for an application fee for one apartment we were interested in that we saw a listing of. I'm sorry but application fees, if any, are anywhere between $50-$100. Obviously, we tell him this price is insane so he gets back to us and lets us know he got the application fee down to $300. I find that application fee absurd. I'm not saying there are no $500 application fees out there, but I have yet to see one for that price for an apartment in Rego Park?? Secondly, he called US the next day with apartments to show us and my husband made it clear that we were looking for something renovated. We understand many listings are not cleaned/updated before the tenant moves in and WE CAN LOOK PAST THAT. However, he showed us places where the appliances/workmanship in the bathroom were very old and there was no promise from the landlord ahead of time that anything was to be updated - just painted. He kept pushing that we can work with the landlord and have it put in our contract that so and so appliance needs to be updated but we are in a TIME CRUNCH to move out and that's just not an option to sign for something before seeing what the landlord would put in (IF THEY EVEN AGREE). Also the bathrooms were in bad condition, and no amount of cleaning can update the 1980s look they had. Most brokers would call the landlord first and see what they say before pushing someone to sign. Ron was being SO pushy and losing his patience as if he KNOWS we can get what we want. It doesn't work like that all the time. Also he was losing patience with us because we did not like what we saw. He kept saying, "JUST LOOK AT THE LAYOUT!!" Our top priority is NOT the layout. I'm 8 months pregnant and I just want an updated apartment. By the time he showed us the last apartment he just kept silent and ignored us, said bye quickly at the end and gruffly walked away. I think that is super unprofessional for an agent to lose his patience and be unhappy because the renter did not sign for any of his showings. My husband has lived in the Forest Hills area all his life and we know what's out there and what we want. We know we need to make sacrifices when looking, but please don't be a JERK to us because we ultimately did not like the apartments you showed us. read more
